A beautiful flat in an excellent neighborhood. There was air-con and wifi aplenty. So close to Vico Lungo del Gelso where there are endless eateries. A Pignata was recommended and it did not disappoint.The check-in was a bit confusing as we weren't privy to the information on which floor the flat was. That could have taken lots of time off our check-in.Signora is a lovely host, and her flat reflects that. It's full of art, plants, and music. The outdoor areas were sublime. She left us a beautiful array of typical Neapolitan pastries for us to enjoy, and we most certainly did enjoy them.The view at night were stunning, and the sounds of the neighborhood were a joy to partake. We found the bed uncomfortable, but that's personal preference and a gamble with any rental space. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

Beautiful artsy space with 180 degree view!

The apartment had everything we needed and was an oasis in the busy city. Annamaria was friendly and helpful and even left us pastries and wine. Wonderful place to stay. Two bedrooms but one much larger than the 2nd. Recommend highly.

We loved our stay in Annamaria's apartment.Napoli is a very chaotic city, and it was very nice to be in such a peaceful place.We were very comfortable with our stay. The only isssue we had was the inconsistent hot water of the shower.

Great place to stay in the heart of Naples

I originally rented this place thinking a friend would join me. I ended up staying there by myself, so a little more room than I needed, but it was perfect. Great bed, great bathroom, great kitchen. I did a little work while there, so I can vouch for the great connectivity. The crown jewel is the terrace. Perfect view for a morning cup of coffee or a drink after a day of enjoying the city.

fantastic real Naples

We had a wonderful week staying here. This apartment is in perfect location - on a smaller street, but steps away from the metro and funicular (take the funicular up to Vomero, and walk down the Pedimentina to your home - awesome!); walking distance from the port, archeological museum and most other major sites. The apartment is spacious and has a patio with the view of Certosa di San Martino. This is not some cold, synthetic, corporate looking rental, but a real home, with books, doilies and even a piano. And with Sig.ra dePalma's relaxed and friendly hosting you will feel like you are visiting your grandma.

A haven

This is a comfortable home-from-home, lovely to return to after a day in lively Naples. It has a superb location: minutes walk to the Toledo Metro station, bus lines, several streets of restaurants, and a welcoming bar across the street. The patio is beautifully planted, a great place to sit in the early morning to watch swifts flying, and in the evening to see the sun go down behind the Certosa di San Martino. Thank you, Annamaria.

Pretty good but....

In general, the apartment is pretty good. It is just a short distance from Toledo metro station and the terrace is really pleasant with a nice view. The apartment itself would be pretty good with just a little touch here and there. Our main problem was the bathroom. Hot water runs rather randomly and when it runs, it does not run for a long time. We are talking about 60 - 90 seconds here. It didn't work very well for 3 women who want to have a shower and wash their hair. But OK, we managed somehow. It's actually quite refreshing to wash your hair in a cold water :-) Other problem I would like to mention would be the lack of space where you can put your stuff in. The apartment is full of .... things. There are clothes in the wardrobes so unless you take it out, you live from your suitcase. Not a big deal, we experienced worse ... but still. Also, but this is not Annamaria's problem - the elevator didn't work the whole week we were there. We have been told that it broke just before we arrived. OK. But we are talking about 4th floor. 121 - 126 steps (I was not able to keep my mind on counting them so I always got a different result ...anyway, it's lot of steps if you carry few bottles of wine, melon and some bread and cheese :-) or a luggage to or from the apartment. In general, I would recommend the apartment to people who are not too "sensitive". We had a great time there but we are pretty seasoned. If you expect something "posh", then look elsewhere.

A Perfect Setting..

Annamaria's apartment offers the best of both worlds. It is in the lively Spanish quarter from which one can retreat when one gets 'home'. As other guests have mentioned herself and her friend welcomed us with wine and a box of delicious cakes and answered every query as to restaurant recommendations, shops, transport etc. There are masses of maps and guides in the spacious apartment which is on the 4th floor and reached either by stairs or by a lift. The flower bedecked terrace affords glorious views over the roof-tops and up to Vomero and sitting out there eating breakfast or lunch was a delight of changing light and church bells signalling mass. One huge boon for us, because we'd travelled by train from London (and thus wanted to cut down on luggage), was being able to do washing which was dry in hours out on the lines on the terrace. There is a washing machine and powder should one want to use it. Another huge plus was that the tap water is drinkable which meant we could just fill our bottles each day and, gosh did we need water as it was hot every day, and that at the end of September! The area is terrific. So close to Via Toledo which takes one straight down to the sea-front in one direction. Just around the next street up is an entrance to the spanking new arty metro stop of Toledo so in 3 stops one is at Piazza Garibaldi for trains out to Pompeii, Ercolano or Sorrento. I just really enjoyed walking around our locality and discovering a street 4 or 5 roads over where there is an excellent butcher, grocers and greengrocers. Next to the apartment entrance there is also a little shop where one can nip out for last minute things. We also enjoyed a trip over to the tiny island of Procida. In fact we found that there is so much to enjoy and see in Naples that we still had a 'wish list' when, sadly we had to leave. Have I mentioned the pizza and gelato that is the best?!!

Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, und die Lage im Viertel Spagnoli ist sehr zentral. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über eine Klimaanlage und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin, Frau de Palma, hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns gute Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben.Die großzügige, mit vielen Pflanzen verschönerte Terrasse, haben wir der großen Hitze wegen leider kaum genutzt.Nur ein paar Schritte entfernt befinden sich unzählige Restaurants und die U-Bahn-Station Toledo ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt.Ich kann diese Wohnung wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Stupenda vista

Appartamento centralissimo e con magnifica vista. Pur essendo nel quartiere Spagnoli l'ho trovato molto silenzioso dovuto alle finestre con doppi vetri. Comme un jardin suspendu en plein cœur dé Naples

Tolle Wohnung in schöner Lage

Wir waren zu viert und kamen mit den beiden Schlafzimmern (Betten ok) gut zurecht. Das Schlafzimmer im großen Wohnzimmer benötigten wir nicht. Die Küche ist sehr hübsch (Gasherd) und groß, rundum verglast. Das Highlight ist die Dachterrasse mit fantastischem Ausblick auf den Monte Calvario. Die Möblierung ist auch gut, sogar eine Hollywoodschaukel gibt es. Zum Glück ist auch ein Aufzug in den vierten Stock vorhanden. Die Lage im spanischen Viertel ist toll: mitten im Leben mit schmalen Gassen und der Metro sehr nahe. Die Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar, der Bahnhof nur drei Stationen entfernt. Auch die Uferpromenade ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar, ebenso gute Geschäfte und viele Restaurants. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich, zum Empfang gabt es sehr leckere Süßigkeiten und ein Flasche Martini. Auschecken sollte eigentlich bis 10 Uhr passiert sein, wir konnten aber problemlos bis 15 Uhr bleiben. Toll! Kleines Problem gab's mit der Dusche, die ständig heiß und kalt wird. Das ist im Hochsommer aber leicht zu verkraften. Richtig gestört haben die Massen von Mopeds und Motorrädern, die Tag und Nacht für Lärm und Gestank sorgten. Ansonsten hatten wir wunderschöne Tage in Neapel. Vielen Dank an die tolle Gastgeberin!

Perfekte Lage - große Wohnung

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt im spanischen Quartier nur wenige Meter von der Via Toldo, der Fußgängerzone entfernt. Die Wohnung ist groß und wunderbar im vierten Stock gelegen mit einer kleinen Dachterrasse mit schönem Blick auf das Castel Sant´ Elmo.

Bel espace pour se ressourcer après des journées de ballade dans Naples

L'appartement est grand, lumineux et très agréable Avec son grand salon, sa cuisine / salle à manger qui est totalement ouverte sur la Terrasse. Permettant de prendre ses Petits déjeuner, et ses déjeuners ou diners, si on a pas envie d'aller au restaurant . Très belle vue sans vis à vis. L'appartement est rès bien placé dans Naples qui est une ville mouvementée et donc offre la possibilité de se ressourcer tranquillement après les ballades et visites. Merci à Marie pour son accueil et puis on souhaite bon rétablissement à Annamaria de Palma que nous n'avons pas eu le plaisir de connaitre. Anne et Bruno

We stayed at Annamaria'a place for the third time and when we arrived it felt like coming home! Unfortunately we couldn't see Annamaria because she was traveling, but everything was perfectly organised and superb! Best place to stay in Naples, and best apartment I have ever had with homelidays! Helle, zentrale Wohnung. Man hat das Gefühl, man wohnt in Neapel

Helle, großzügige Wohnung, die sehr zentral liegt. Zur Metro Toledo nur 3 Minuten, zu einem netten Markt ca 7 Minuten, selbst die Fähren nach Procida und Capri sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Ideal auch für einen Ausflug nach Pompeji. Nur Busfahrten sollte man vermeiden.
