Stayed at the Executive Residency for about a week on a family trip, and it was exactly what I needed. It feels less like a sterile hotel and more like a high-end apartment complex, which makes a major difference if you’re staying for more than a couple of days.
The Room (The Apartment) I stayed in a two-bedroom suite, and I was genuinely impressed. The kitchen is fully equipped (full-sized fridge, stove, even a washing machine), which was a lifesaver. The living area was spacious enough to host a small meeting, and the balcony had a great view of the Riverside greenery. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the blackout curtains actually worked—I slept like a baby despite the jet lag.
A Few Minor Things:
Traffic: During rush hour, getting in and out of Riverside Drive can be a bit of a crawl. Give yourself an extra 20 minutes for any appointment.
Vibe: It’s a very quiet, professional atmosphere. If you’re looking for a "party" hotel or a big social scene, this might be a bit too low-key for you.
Final Verdict: If you are traveling for work or with family and want the convenience of a kitchen with the service of a hotel, this is easily one of the best options in Nairobi. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip.
