The bed was comfortable (although only two pillows for two people) and room was clean and ok. In the morning I awoke to ants on the nightstand and in the bed. When I went down to cancel the reservation for the next night, the man at the desk didn't offer any discount or such (not that I was looking) but asked if I'd like a different room...just as the bug-sprayer walks into the lobby. While it was only ants, thankfully, I was not interested. Found a different hotel several blocks away and had a wonderful stay.
We were happy to find a hotel in Muncie who would allow us to bring our dog with us. The hotel is very nice and will return.
Bathroom fan didn't work which was needed for the room. Made very loud noise when turned on. Also bathroom door handle was about to fall out of door. These were more small things but still think they should have been addressed by house cleaning . Room was comfortable. Saturday morning breakfast should be extended past 9 am especially when guests are continuing to come down.
Poor/ weak wifi connection. Broken desk chair. Poor TV reception. GREAT front desk customer service. Gily was wonderful to try and take care of my complaints. He ever changed out the desk chair. Could not connect the wifi to last , but he tried. Seeing that you allow pets, there were dogs on the top floor what pounced all night long. Kept me awake.
I had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the night before but they raised their rate 50% for the weekend. I checked online and found a pretty good rate at Motel 6 which seem to have good ratings. It didn't have the quality of furnishings that I like but then again it was pretty decent price. The 2 hand towels both had 1/2" straight black hairs embedded. There was some kind of black substance on the front edge of the toilet and I used a washcloth to rub it off. I went to the desk and told the young lady working there and she offered to move me to another room but I said I already unpacked. She made a note. I had prepaid online and she took my credit card just for incidentals but the next morning I see my bank statement that the charge was pending so the day clerk was able to reverse it. She didn't tell me where the room was until I asked and then said it was best to park in the front which is closer to the room but it wasn't because my room was 3/4 of the way down the hall and the other entrance would have been easier. The room was just okay, rather thin sheets, mattress and towels but they work. The next night I stayed in the Best Western and it was excellent for almost the same price.
At check in my ID or card were not checked to verify who I was she just asked if I was a certain person, the first room had incense burning it air conditioner, broken microwave and very dirty, 2nd room water wouldn't drain in tub, a hole above the shower sheet were dirty, 3rd room wasn't the cleanest and smelled of smoke I had to go buy febreeze. Wouldn't recommend hotel
There was dead and alive ants in the bathroom. There was hair and a scab on the sheets. The breakfast was poor. If I would have known that it was that poor of a breakfast we would have stayed in a cheaper hotel! Will never stay again.
Floors needed to be vacuumed better , bathroom tub shower diverter did not work. shower ran as soon as water was turned on. The front desk person on both nights was slow and seemed to confuse them selves
The room was supposed to be non-smoking but the smell of cigarette smoke was very noticeable, our shoes stuck to the bathroom floor, the stopper for the bathtub was lying on the side of the tub, the toilet did a "shake, rattle & roll" when you sat down.
First thing you notice is the cigarette odor in this non-smoking room. There isn't even a closet, just a rack on the wall with some hangers, and an ironing board leaning against the wall. There was a used, dried up coffee pod in the coffee maker and a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rod. The hair dryer didn't work. Big hole in the wall where the cable went in. (As if it mattered, half the channels were snowy anyway.) My parents were in another room which also smelled like smoke, and their room phone was broken. It was too late to ditch the place the first night, and I didn't trust the cleanliness at all so I slept in my clothes and we bolted for the Hampton Inn the next morning. I really hate to write negative reviews, but I'd like to save others from the trouble I'm currently going through, trying to get refunded through Expedia. Just... no.
