Heat downstairs where most bedrooms were did not work, but space heaters were found. Yard maintenance came early Friday morning during our stay which was extremely unwelcome. Kitchen was extremely well appointed for cooking our Thanksgiving favorites.

The hot tub was great! The view of the sunset (early Oct) was obscured by the neighboring property- but the colors were amazing! I love that you could see the ocean/waves from the living room/ back patio. Re: The kitchen- The island was sticky and there was not a variety of cleaning products accessible- or at least I could find. Otherwise it was clean enough. The sheets in the master suite were not in good shape- I don't think they were changed between visitors. Also the remote for the TV downstairs only worked to turn the tv on and off. That's it. The towels in the downstairs bathroom were damp- like they werent fully dried before folded (i.e. the cleaning service ran out of time). Also- it was great that they're were extra pillows- but I couldn't find the pillow cases for them. Re: no shoes policy- the carpet on the stairs has seen better days. And the floors were not super clean either. No shoes is fine- we're used to that at home- but the flooring did not appear congruent with a no-shoes home.All in all- it was good. The price was definitely for the view... it was for my daughter's 20th birthday and she was sufficiently impressed- and it was nice to get out of the valley. For that I'm truly thankful. The location in proximity to the Reserve was excellent. Moss Beach is a favorite of ours.

Beautiful and very comfortable home with stunning views! Perfect home for our girl’s getaway of five. We enjoyed the home so much we barely left the house. Home was extremely clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and seamless arrival/ departure. Our host was outstanding who promptly answered all our questions. All of us were so pleased with our stay and will likely return again.

Nice home. Beach by house is closed which should have been disclosed. Made value less. Nice view from lounge and well equipped kitchen. Please note you have to carry groceries upstairs as kitchen is upstairs. Great hot tub.

Wonderful property near nature preserve

We enjoyed the house and the local trail to the nature preserve. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and we were very comfortable. Beautiful house with many amenities. Close to shopping and dining at local places. Owners are very communicative and helpful. Easy check in and check out.

Fantastic Mother’s Day

Beautiful home with gorgeous views of the ocean and pelicans flying by. My family was so impressed; we loved the location. Walked to Moss Beach Distillery for lunch one day through the Cypress trees. Beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to stay here.

Absolutely Wonderful

The property was exactly what I was looking for, it actually exceeded my expectations. Not only did it look clean and tidy, it smelled clean. The only suggestion I have is that some of the windows failed, this happens with double paned windows, so that there was condensation between the panes making it difficult to see clearly through them. The weather was such that we just opened the windows and doors.

Perfect Location

This house is as advertised - amazing ocean view and just steps away from the nature preserve and walking trails! Safe and quiet neighborhood away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Grocery stores and many restaurants are just a 5-10 minute drive away. Master bedroom, kitchen and family room are up on second floor and 3 guest bedrooms share a bathroom on the lower floor. The hot tub was clean, well maintained and easy to access.

50th Birthday with Friends

I live in the Bay Area and booked this stay for a quick getaway with friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was perfect! It is clean and has a great location, amazing views, and tons of space. The beds were very comfortable there is plenty of room for 7 adults. I would highly recommend it. All my friends wanted the info to book their own getaways. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful Friends Reunion

We were four friends from high school who were celebrating our 75th birthdays this year. The beach house was perfect for us, as it had everything we needed to relax and catch up with each other. It was super easy check in, and after having a wonderful lunch at the Ritz Carlton the first day, all of our meals were at the house. We bbq'd, walked along the coast, enjoyed wine on the balcony and had a great time. Andreia was friendly and easy to communicate with both in checking in and out. Would definitely go back!

Great Quiet Getaway Near Ocean

This home is in a quiet neighborhood with great ocean views. We wanted a home a little outside of San Fransico to get away and relax and this was a great choice to stay when not out sightseeing. Plenty of room for family and located near woods & ocean. Communication with owner was great & very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful oceanfront retreat!

My family and I were welcomed into this cozy home with spectacular views, well kept home, and very clean from top to bottom - inside to outside! Fully furnished, stocked with all the dishware we needed, and plenty of pods for the instant coffee maker. Board games in the closet, table tennis in the garage, outdoor furniture, very cozy hot tub location, the sound of waves all day and night! The detached room was a wonderful place for any one of us to hide out for a few moments and listen to just the sound of the waves and the breeze coming over the coast. Everything was in working order, we had no issues and enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Owners communicated very promptly and professionally when contacted. And this property is on the border of the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve - if you don't know, look it up! Nature walk trails, beached harbor seals, views of whales in the distance, tidepools to explore. We had a very memorable time at this house. Very much recommended!

Amazing time. Views are outstanding. accommodation’s were great. Very clean & comfortable, plenty of room. The writers room is a must to sleep in. The sound of waves as you fall asleep, l slept like a baby. Cannot wait to go back. Maybe in August or September not June gloom next time. But still amazing despite the fog.

Absolutely perfect home, in a peaceful location

Our family of 4 recently stayed at this VRBO property in hopes for a peaceful getaway and this home absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. The spacious accommodation, stunning ocean views off the deck, beautiful trails, and walking access to a marine reserve created an incredibly serene atmosphere. My absolute favorite spot was just few feet away from the driveway where there was a bench that you can just sit on in quiet, and find comfort watching the sunset over the ocean. It was the most beautiful and peaceful moment for me personally. Our kids (age 8 & 11) also loved this home, with lots of space to hang out downstairs, run around in backyard, indoor games, and a cute sunroom. The kids room was super cute and it’s clear the owners thought of everything for their guests. If you have kids, it’s definitely going to be ideal for your family. The owners were excellent hosts, and very kind people. I can’t wait until we come back, and in the meantime, we will share this listing with all of our family/friends. Beautiful view of the ocean! Loved the location. The hot tub wasn't working as advertised. The freezer had a huge chunk of frost ... maybe a seal problem. The WiFi wouldn't let additional users the first night. The one queen in the big room needed a box springs. But overall we had an awesome time. Too bad the reserve was closed for exploring the tide pools.

Fantastic Family Vacation on Bay Area Coast!

The house was perfect for our family of four "mini-vacation" (four day long weekend) to the San Francisco area. Located about halfway between SF and Palo Alto on the coast. With two teen-aged kids, we were less than an hour from SF (and day trip to Muir Woods), and we were also 45 minutes from Stanford for a college visit. Nearby Half Moon Bay, and we did another day trip down to Monterey/Carmel. The house itself is great: very clean and well furnished, with multiple bedrooms, and otherwise "as-advertised." Great communication with the owner. Steps from the nearby nature preserve, which we also greatly enjoyed each day. It was beautiful seeing the west-coast sunset over the Pacific (including at the nearby Moss Beach Distillery restaurant)!
