Clean and spacious. Could use a little air freshening. Could smell mold which comes from an older home I realize. Floor could be repaired. Pieces of the floor were a little hard to navigate as they were sticking up

Trip home

The property was nice, roomy and conveniently located downtown near bars and restaurants. We only had my wife and I but the property is big enough 12-14 people comfortably.

Lots of space

Place is huge. The laundry room has an office, so if you have to work, you can, there are several other spaces for conversations and games, the front porch, back deck, a front room, dining room, living room. Yes, the floors are rough and the pool is under trees, so was never really free of debris, but great place to get together with family, grill out, and play games.

Loved our stay

We were in town for a family funeral and needed a place large enough and convenient for our family members. The home was adorable and have much charm and character. The home exceeded our expectations for space. The host was very responsive and did a great job of being proactive during our checkin process. We most definitely will book again in the future.

Patriotic Family Stay

We enjoyed our stay in Alabama, it was very cozy and welcoming. We did have issues with the a/c upstairs it would get extremely hot. But other than that it was a great stay.

Fantastic place!

The photos don’t do it justice! This house is huge!!! It’s a beautiful classic Mobile home. I read many reviews that mentioned the flooring, please don’t let that scare you away, the flooring could use replacing but for the price of our stay it was a great value & no one really minded the flooring. Clean home, many amenities, space for everyone, quiet neighborhood close to all the downtown Mobile attractions. 5 stars for sure!

The flooring was peeling in certain areas on the bottom floor. Photos added of the floor. Patriot family homes was very polite every time we needed to cal but, when I called and asked if they had a sheet pan I was advised they had basic cooking utensils. When we arrived to the property I saw they were missing a couple of items. I had to purchase oven mitts, baking sheets, and a pizza cutter.

Mobile stay

Overall very disappointed. Booked this property mainly because of the pool, it was green and cloudy, couldn't swim. Trash can hadn't been emptied in awhile. Broken deck chairs. inside furniture was full of dust.

Girls Trip

Great place, really need to fix the floor. Curtains would be nice. Another hair dryer. Plug in by one of beds on guest room and another in the bathroom did not work. A few more chairs in each sitting room would be nice. The six of us were comfortable! We would stay again!

This is a literal house of horrors. My child cut his foot on the floor because there’s broken pieces of floor sticking up and pieces missing everywhere. There was trash outside by the pool which was filthy. While sitting out on the deck giant cockroaches ran by and we saw roaches in the laundry room. The sheets were stained and had visible crust on them as if they weren’t washed at all Same with the pillows. The place is unsafe and absolutely filthy. We actually had to leave and go stay somewhere else.

DO NOT BOOK!

This place is a nightmare. The pool was green and filled with bugs. After reaching out someone came to clean it and it kept leaking water so it was unable to be used. Dishwasher did not work. Trash cans outside were overflowing. The floors are busted and duct taped down in a few spots. Location is dodgy and not the best part of town. Upon arriving was never sent the door code.

Nice! Needs more work...

The house definitely accommodated my family as far as the space and amenities were concerned. The host was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. My family was in town for a funeral, the host made sure a beautiful flower arrangement was there waiting for us when we arrived at my request which I thoroughly appreciated. The house has been updated in most aspects but definitely needs a lot more attention to cosmetics and detail (for example, chipping and unfinished paint, the leaves could have been cleared from the front so we could see the driveway better, etc.).

Terrible Stay

I would have liked not to comment but I wouldn’t want other people to go through the same. I can only simply say, I do not recommend this place. When we came, the check in time was 4:00, we arrived around 4:45 and we found 2 people claiming to be cleaning the pool but we’re swimming and smoking and the pool was still dirty. They were also calling me for 2 days straight because they supposedly were going to clean the pool. I do not recommend this place at all.

DO NOT BOOK- health & safety hazard

This property is unfit to be rented. There is a roach infestation, unsafe floor conditions and is extremely dirty. The property management was notified of these conditions early in our stay with no action. We then had a huge water leak that demanded immediate attention. They sent a team out to fix the water leak to which the team commented they were aware of the unsafe condition but yet continue to rent the property. The pool is unkept and we did not want to take the chance of actually getting in the water. The dust build up on the fans and the hair all over the bathrooms were signs the property is not properly cleaned, if the roach infestation wasn’t the clear giveaway. The conditions were so bad we asked for a full refund. I do not recommend staying at this home.

This is a filthy disaster

This property does not look anything like the pictures they have posted. The carpet is stained and torn, the flooring has tape all over it and is a trip hazard, the paint is peeling off all the kitchen cabinets, the dishwasher is falling out if the cabinet, the deck boards are coming up causing a trip hazard. The pool was dirty, the oven and stove was full of grease, the bathrooms were dirty, the ceiling has a leak, all kinds of dort and trash inside a closet shelf and huge palmetto bugs all over the place. We never stayed one night in this property it was that dirty. They offered to clean the place and give a 20% discount however cleaning it did not fix any of the hazards or remove the bugs from the place. Do not stay here. Anyone giving this place a 10 out of 10 is a friend of theirs or they work there. A company claiming to be veteran owned and patriotic taking peoples hard earned money and making them sleep in filth is sad.

Great visit but room for improvements

The house was location was good, very clean and lots of big rooms to spread out. However the house and outside needs improvement; Flooring in all downstairs is busted up, cracks all over which is a trip hazard, no remote for master ceiling fan so could run fan without light (one switch). We wanted a fenced yard so out dogs could play outside however there is no under pending around deck or house so the dogs could get under deck and house, the gate had big gaps and holes, just in yard, against fence and house so area was useless , neighbors has 20 cats which was over all the time sleeping. Driveway and sidewalk is a danger zone as it’s busted up so bad my SUV dragged every time I left house and walk carefully to not to trip and fall on sidewalk. No railing on steps to get into house.

Good stay just needs some fixing

Our stay was generally enjoyable. However, my husband incurred a foot injury due to a raised screw. The flooring throughout much of the home is in poor condition, with areas that are coming up, posing a significant tripping hazard. I tripped multiple times during our weekend stay. Additionally, the air conditioning system did not function effectively, resulting in consistently high temperatures around 78 degrees. The upstairs unit did not operate at all, but we were grateful for the fans provided to help keep that area cooler. In the far bedroom upstairs, the ceiling appears to be deteriorating. While we appreciated the pool area, we did notice a security camera present (presumably for the property's protection), which made me feel somewhat uncomfortable in my bathing suit, as it seemed that the three neighboring properties could see the deck area.

Decent but attention is needed

I'm going to start with the good. House is huge although does not look it from outside. Nice pool in back yard with a big deck. Location is quiet, not far from groceries and gas. There were beach towels in closet. That being said there is definitely room for improvement. Master bedroom door does not lock as it's on the outside of door so issue with privacy. We had 10 people and only a small couch/sitting chair in living room. Had to sit on bar stools but still not room for everyone to relax. Laminate flooring is coming apart due to humidity I'm assuming. My grandson tripped over it numerous times and you will stub your toes, we just wore shoes to avoid this. Drywall is coming off the walls and there was mold in couple different places. Encountered several water bugs during our stay so pest control needs evaluated. Deck needs a railing of some kind especially with young kids coming through. Bathroom floors had hair from previous guests. Price to me was high for all issues and needed repairs

Looks Good - Leaves Alot to be Desired...

I found this place on VRBO and my family (my husband, 22 year daughter and myself) all thought it looked like a great place to stay after being displaced due to Hurricane Milton. They allowed our 5 pound dog and cat to join us. The positives: - The people we communicated with were fairly responsive. - The house had electricity, AC/heat (downstairs) and running water. - The house is HUGE. The negatives: - ALL of the floors are cracked and broken. I wish I would have read through the reviews prior to booking. This is not something the owners are unaware of. A review from September, 2023 states the same thing. The owners/managers even responded stating it would be their priority to get it fixed. Apparently not. Bring thick soled shoes/slippers. - The pool was absolutely disgusting! Do NOT believe the pictures on the listing. The water was green and sludgy. Full of leaves, dirt, algae and slime. - You don't need to get drunk - the floors all slope and make you feel like you are. Feel like they will cave in. - Realtor let herself in unannounced to show the house. She had the code to get in - WHILE WE WERE THERE! We had no idea the place was for sale. - The TV in the main living room is too small for the space Bring your binoculars. - Furniture is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. - No TV's (or heat- we needed both AC and heat during our stay) upstairs. I've run out of characters for this review. There are more things to say. There are better places out there. Don't waste your money.
