Holiday Inn ANA Sendai3.5 out of 5.0

Clearly they didn't do the numbers correctly when they sized the breakfast area. We had to get into a long queue for a table. It was very crowded. It was our last day in Japan so would have been nice to have had a pleasant breakfast. The food was fine but too many guests for the space provided. Car parking is round the corner through a connecting passage way. You have to loop the front of the hotel to find it. They will give you a map to it. We had a broken glass table in the room. Under the covering cloth was a smashed top. It's not really what you expect at a Holiday Inn. I've given the review 4 stars since I'm feeling generous, I think other may put it at 2 star perhaps with the breakfast queues and the broken glass topped table.
Everything about this hotel I liked. It was extremely relaxing, clean, and a great vacation from Tokyo! The staff did an excellent job to accommodate non-Japanese speakers, and the check in process was very quick and simple. Whenever I return to Sendai, I'll definitely would like to return to the Holiday Inn ANA Sendai.
It's conveniently located from the Sendai station. if you to walk, it is about 10 min. Walk. I took a taxi and it cost me 670 yen. Since I speak Japanese I can not tell you how good their English ability. I stayed there only one night visiting my friends. The dining facility was not the top but the breakfast was good.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. The rooms are very spacious, with big beds, convenient desks and tables. The bathroom is full of amenities and offers everything you would expect. The place is clean, safe, close to the main train station. The service is very efficient and even surprising considering the quite low price.
We checked in for 2 nights stay. As with others in this chain, the service was as expected. Its about 10 minutes walk from Sendai JR Station. My double bed room was a bit larger than other japanese hotels in this price range. I like the firmness of the bed, but find that the double bed is really narrow. This hotel is not for guests that expect to have coin laundry provided by it as with most other japanese business hotels. Otherwise, it is okay. Generally, my stay was pleasant.
On the quiet side of the JR station, about 10 minutes walk.. easy to find, room size is OK, amenities, room fittings adequate, clean, good value for money, there is not much around the hotel but there are heaps of places to eat, shop etc around the station which is more of a modern mall with trains than a conventional station.
A very easy to find hotel that is a short less than 10 minute walk from the Sendai JR station, and is very clean, and is very good value for money with great service. There are some great restaurants in the area, and as the hotel is on a triangular block, try to ask for a corner street facing room
Nice place, good staff and best part very close to station thus easily accessible. Rooms are well equipped, Breakfast in house was good and suits all types. Didn't got chance to use restaurant for lunch or dinner so cant say about them.
I'm just finishing a two night stay at the Holiday Inn Sendai. Here's what I liked about it. When I made my reservation only a smoking single was available. But, at check in and without me asking I was upgraded to a standard no smoking double. That was appreciated. My room, 1114, is very comfortable and quiet. I keep dozing off so I know the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is nicer than the unit baths found in most Japanese hotels and the shower was hot and relaxing. I also like the lobby of this hotel. It has a very peaceful feel to it. Some other reviewers commented on the wifi problems, but for me, the wifi worked great. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that early check in wasn't possible. My flight arrived in the morning and by 10:30 i was at the hotel. I checked in and my bag was collected but I was told to come back at 2 pm. Normally at Holiday Inns (and this is my 9th in my past month) for Elite status members if a room is open you can get in regardless of the time. And if one isn't they will tell you roughly when one will be available. I was a bit surprised that I had to wait until the official check in time at 2 pm like everyone else. Elite status should have some advantages and early check in is a really important one. Apart from that little annoyance the hotel was fine and I wouldn't mind staying here on my next visit to Sendai.
Visited this hotel in Sep'15, with family during our stay Sendai. Stayed twice as on one day room was unavailable. The hotel is close to Sendai Railway Station. Hardly 7-minutes walk from station. Property is good, clean, very good housekeeping. Dinner last order is taken sharp at 20.30 Hrs. Even if you are late by 05-minutes, you are shown the rules. I am a Gold Elite Priority member, but I did NOT get any recognition during check-in. They are even particular about the number of water bottles they offer you complimentary. I was not very happy with the overall management policy, as it involves showing guests a lot of rules. Staff is though helpful, and they had securely stored our luggage when we arrived on the first day, i.e. 24-Sep’15. Luggage (05-bags) were sent separately directly to the hotel address before we arrived. I liked the hotel's Environmental Policy, which you shall find in the attached photographs
