Holiday Inn ANA Sendai3.5 out of 5.0

This is 4th stay in ANA Holiday inn hotel in Japan, after Wakkanai, Sapporo, and Nagasaki. While ANA Holiday inn hotels are mid-range hotels, this particular Holiday Inn ANA hotel is typical mid-range, mostly targeting business customers. Therefore, the room size is not so big, but enough to stay. The room is clean. The location is good, it is located just 10 min easy walk from Sendai east exit. there is also a subway station nearby, which is just 5 min walk. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which i used for breakfast only. There was local food choice, Sasa kamaboko, and zunda mochi i particularly enjoyed. For dinner, there is many choices in Sendai station, and if you take subway, with only 2 stops, it takes you the area where you can find many restaurant choices, from local food to western food, cheap to expensive.
I have to say this holiday inn hotel is a little old and the service quality needs improvement. Rooms are not very big with a little noise. Internet is a little slow. Breakfast is average with 1000 yen. The parking fee is very expensive in Sendai. A bad choice for staying in this hotel.
Great location, 10 minute walk from the station. The staff were super friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and had every ammienity you could desire. If you are spending a lot of time in your room then this may be a bit basic but is perfect for an overnight stay.
Clearly they didn't do the numbers correctly when they sized the breakfast area. We had to get into a long queue for a table. It was very crowded. It was our last day in Japan so would have been nice to have had a pleasant breakfast. The food was fine but too many guests for the space provided. Car parking is round the corner through a connecting passage way. You have to loop the front of the hotel to find it. They will give you a map to it. We had a broken glass table in the room. Under the covering cloth was a smashed top. It's not really what you expect at a Holiday Inn. I've given the review 4 stars since I'm feeling generous, I think other may put it at 2 star perhaps with the breakfast queues and the broken glass topped table.
Everything about this hotel I liked. It was extremely relaxing, clean, and a great vacation from Tokyo! The staff did an excellent job to accommodate non-Japanese speakers, and the check in process was very quick and simple. Whenever I return to Sendai, I'll definitely would like to return to the Holiday Inn ANA Sendai.
It's conveniently located from the Sendai station. if you to walk, it is about 10 min. Walk. I took a taxi and it cost me 670 yen. Since I speak Japanese I can not tell you how good their English ability. I stayed there only one night visiting my friends. The dining facility was not the top but the breakfast was good.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. The rooms are very spacious, with big beds, convenient desks and tables. The bathroom is full of amenities and offers everything you would expect. The place is clean, safe, close to the main train station. The service is very efficient and even surprising considering the quite low price.
We checked in for 2 nights stay. As with others in this chain, the service was as expected. Its about 10 minutes walk from Sendai JR Station. My double bed room was a bit larger than other japanese hotels in this price range. I like the firmness of the bed, but find that the double bed is really narrow. This hotel is not for guests that expect to have coin laundry provided by it as with most other japanese business hotels. Otherwise, it is okay. Generally, my stay was pleasant.
On the quiet side of the JR station, about 10 minutes walk.. easy to find, room size is OK, amenities, room fittings adequate, clean, good value for money, there is not much around the hotel but there are heaps of places to eat, shop etc around the station which is more of a modern mall with trains than a conventional station.
A very easy to find hotel that is a short less than 10 minute walk from the Sendai JR station, and is very clean, and is very good value for money with great service. There are some great restaurants in the area, and as the hotel is on a triangular block, try to ask for a corner street facing room
