Emerald Sol is a newly updated vacation rental cottage in Destin, FL, located just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico, so you can stroll down and enjoy the beach, lounge in the sugar white sand, or catch a breathtaking sunset. Emerald Sea can be rented by itself or with the home behind it, Emerald Sea, for a two-family or group vacation.


***Emerald Sol and Emerald Sea now offer a brand new private pool shared between both homes! The pool can be heated for an additional fee.***


This updated pet-friendly vacation rental home has been recently remodeled and is perfect for a beach vacation! The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, and the second bedroom offers a twin over full bunk bed with a full trundle. The full bathroom has just recently been renovated as well. The living room also contains a queen sleeper sofa. French doors lead to a private patio, where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning and delight in the fresh air rolling in from the Gulf, which is only a short stroll away. This vacation rental home can easily accommodate up to 9 guests!


Emerald Sol and Emerald Sea both have the same layout, contain a washer and dryer in each home, and share a private pool between the two homes. This is the perfect situation for a two-family vacation or a beach getaway with a group of friends.


Beach access: Just across the street and a few minutes walk from the rental is a newly built beach access for your use! This beach access includes parking for vehicles, including golf cart parking and bike parking, with a large deck plaza leading down to the white sandy beach, an ADA accessible boardwalk/dune walkover, restroom facilities, and a picnic pavilion with dune walkover.

I had to call to get the key-code to enter the property, the RUDE worker stated it had been sent in a text, in fact it had NOT, Then hot water tank died on the first evening, after several attempts to repair, we moved into another unit. In the first rental we both received cut feet and stubbed toes from the horrible and not secured flooring, both exteriors are filthy and in need of paint and updates, doors and light switches are very dirty. The stairs are rotten and have nails/screws sticking up, the decks are not safe to walk on. THE INTERIOR SMELLS OF DAMPNESS-MUSTY-MOLD. We paid to have the pool heated, the first night and next day it was warmish, after that it was too cold to enter the water and swim as it had NO HEAT! We will not recommend or return to this property. MANY nicer, newer, cleaner rentals for the same price are available.

Spring break 2026, we had a wonderful stay. 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs, everything worked out great. The location is incredible, the house was clean, the beautiful public beach is just up the block. Lots to do all around. We were able to check in early, had to call for a maintenance issue and the managers were there in less than 20 min. The pool was great for the kids, we did not have to share as there was no one at the other unit. Toys available for the beach. Rented a golf cart from the property manager at a discounted rate. The only negative I can add is that the house has definitely been well used, it’s in much rougher shape than the pictures and the trundle bed is not comfortable.

There would be nothing wrong with the home itself, but HUGE roaches came out every night. They came to spray some spray I use from Lowes. Next day, same thing. Then they tried to tell me they were “palmetto” bugs, as if that makes it any better. Who can sleep at night knowing huge bugs are crawling around? It’s pretty bad when you save for a vacation and it is an actual nightmare. The manager, Heather, was very sympathetic when she said she found out and moved us to a much nicer home. I was glad for her sympathy and moving us, but I do not recommend renting this home.

Location was perfect, quick walk to the beach. Management company was very responsive with issues. House was old, not remodeled as advertised. Exterior - deck boards sticking up and loose. Fascia boards rotting and falling apart. Interior - cheap flooring not put in correctly, coming apart. Kitchen not up to date. Fresh paint and new furniture nice though.

Nice property inside, could use some cleaning around outside of property. Quick response from property manager with questions. Construction at current beach access, so makes for a longer walk to access beach. Super comfy couch and king bed. Appreciated the sharing shed for beach items and left some for future guests as well.

Quaint Beach house

We loved the location of this property. We walked to pretty much everything. The house is cute, but needs a few updates here and there. If we had an issue, the property management team came out same day, that's awesome! The pool was prefect for our kids, there is a shallow wading area and then a deeper swimming side. The pool supply shed was very messy when we got there, I cleaned it up, and the pool guy who lives close by was very grateful! After that he made sure the pool was in pristine condition for us. Overall, we really did enjoy our stay. FYI, bring earplugs to sleep because there are 2 huge party houses on both sides of you.

We enjoyed everything. One or 2 items need to be addressed. The ceiling fan in the guest bedroom is not working properly and could use a few more pots and pans. Also one concern, the construction closed down the entrance to the beach and we had to use a different entrance which was closed, but had a code that someone gave us. We did not get a code upon check-in to any Beach private access. The pool was great and the location was great !

Great vacation

This was an ideal location, with easy access to the beach with multiple attractions in the area. Easy walk to nearby market and restaurants along the beach. We really enjoyed having a pool at the property and that it was on a dead end street with minimal traffic. The house had everything we needed and more. This place helped make our vacation so enjoyable.
