Aloft Milwaukee Downtown

Pros: two blocks from MSOE campus. Excellent choices of eating/drinking within walking distance Authentic Milwaukee experience My room had a great river view Cons: urban car noise until bars clothes No in-room info about hotel amenities, i.e. Fitness center location, lobby bar/cafe availability/hours Carpet in elevators NEEDS replacing... it was gross

Has to be the worst hotel I ever stayed at in a long time. We could not check in so they held our luggage. But returning at 5pm and still not a room ready. Then it was low light, horrible if not worst bathroom ever, and just too modern European for this USA gal. Only plus was close to ballpark. Food in lobby was just awful and costly. Worst of all, paying $269 a night for the worst ever hotel.

My family and I stayed for one night, but regardless it was a goood experience. The mini fridge needs to be update. Mine was leaking. That was the only problem

I had great time staying at the Aloft. The staff were polite and gave me everything that I needed. The lobby Is amazing. It had a bar, a pool table, and a snack bar. The fitness room had good workout equipment. I would really recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

A little expensive and took a while for valet to get my car every time, but great hotel, clean and comfortable, friendly staff and great overall experience.

The hotel is very nice. Both times friendly staff. Very nice comfortable bed. Good location downtown.

Short stay, but pleased with location and hotel experience. Loved being right by downtown.

This hotel is just fine, but nothing special. The valet parking is expensive.

The Aloft looks attractive, gave you free bottled water in the room, and had decent facilities (such as the workout room). However, the walls are so thin that I literally could hear the conversation the man in the room next to me was having (not just that I could hear he was having a conversation but I could hear exactly what he was saying and could have responded to him). I also was surprised that their only options for purchasing items you forgot (such as toothpaste) was in a literal pre-packaged kit of other items at ungodly costs. I am pretty used to being at hotels nowadays that have signs that say "forgot this, no problem we have it" and this was definitely the opposite approach, particularly given its downtown location where the nearest pharmacy shuts down at 6 pm so you can't walk anywhere to purchase forgotten items. It was an acceptable stay, but I wouldn't book there again.

Trendy hotel close to downtown, but disappointing on a number of levels. Traffic from outside was unbelievably loud! Walls seem really thin. Little things, like the bathroom door not closing all the way, mini-fridge not being really cold, not enough coffee stuff in the room, were odd. Staff was very nice however!

Good will stay again very comfortable definetlt will stay again

Close to all the nightlife and easy in and out! Nice bar area and the rooms are setup for comfort including a rain shower!

This hotel is very new and modern. The staff is especially friendly. Even though it costs extra to park, it was no problem to get our vehicle from the valet within 10 minutes of our request for it. The staff was quick to respond when we requested additional blankets. The hotel and room was very clean. I would stay at this hotel again.

Staff was great room was nice. Parking a little high.

This was a decent hotel at a reasonable price located near a variety of entertainment, shopping areas, bars and restaurants. Not a lot of frills, and the rooms are a bit cramped but clean and comfortable. A good hotel for shorter stays with limited people in the room. Downsides: 1. Driving in from the south on Old World Third Street, it is easy to miss since the only signage is at the top of the building. 2. We chose not to use the pool since it appeared that the side of the building we were on required us to cross back and forth through the lobby/bar area to get to it, which was awkward. There may have been another way to get there from our room, but we didn't see any signs for it. 3. Staff could be a little friendlier/more welcoming as you go in and out. Felt a bit ignored at times.

Hotel was really nice. I loved the modern look. The rooms were clean and comfy. The few things I didn't like were that you had to walk through the lobby, pass the bar and lounge in order to get to the pool. The second thing was how it was required to use the Valet for overnight parking, which was $27. I could have easily found parking half block away for $7 overnight. The little snack shop was nice, but again way over priced. My son wanted a small can of pringles, while I also purchased a little pint of Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, $15 just for those 2 small items. I couldn't believe it when the lady at front desk told me my total. Overall, the staff was very nice, and rooms were fantastic.

I went to the hotel as a getaway with my daughter before starting a new job. I wanted a place to take our puppy and they were more than accommodating. So that was great. The only dings for this critique is that the hallways are very acoustic - meaning I woke up several times in the night to the lovely sounds of drunken people coming home at midnight and beyond. There's no room service but plenty of places within walking distance to get take out. Overall, nice place. It's unusual to find a place that doesn't charge more for dogs - and has treats and water bowls in the entry.

Check in and out was fast. The bell hop and valet parkers were fun, friendly and fast! The place was clean and comfortable. The complementary water was nice but ours was open and half empty! (not cool!) The room was a little pricey but considering it was Brewer game time and State Fair, I understand. I would visit again. Great location near all the late night fun!

The staff and the hotel were fine, it was one of the guests who created problems approximately 2 AM in the morning. Upon check out the assistant manager asked us how our stay was and I related the story to her. She was well aware of the incident and offered to refund us $100 off our stay. I thought this was more than generous and I will certainly give them another opportunity in our next trip to Milwaukee

Courteous staff, great location, only had one problem and really wasn't a big deal. Staff handled it right away. Modern rooms and unique bar and lobby. I would definitely go back. The bar and patio are great place to enjoy a summer evening night cap.
