If I am ever back in Milan again, this is where I will stay. They have earned my loyalty. I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights this early June to accommodate our family of 6, and I am so happy about our whole experience. I am very impressed with their customer service! The front desk was able to check us in our rooms early, and coordinate to have all our rooms next to each other. The bellman was attentive from the time of our arrival, and took care of our luggages immediately. Communication started even before our arrival which was reassuring. I was welcomed with a lovely note on my bed and a message which was a nice touch. Each and every one of my family were treated with outmost respect, and care by each staff member. I have to point out that we had the BEST Concierge experience at the Sheraton Diana in all the years I've travelled. My husband and I stayed in many 5 star hotels in Europe, US, and Resort hotels in Hawaii, Asia and Mexico and we both agree on this. All our 3 rooms were spacious! LOVE the familiar, very comfortable, high end beds, pillows, sheets, towels, that I've come to expect from the Sheraton. Rooms and bathrooms are not updated or new, but it is definitely very clean, bright, and oh so comfortable. I had the best 2 nights sleep in our 16 nights in Europe. Love the warm strong shower! I loved coming back to the comfort of our hotel room after all the walking, climbing and touring we've done in Milan. It rained while we were doing our evening walking tour so our tour guide took us back to our hotel. Our bellman provided each of us umbrellas so we were able to continue on our tour. The two bellman we met were both so attentive, and has made such a positive impact to our stay. Service is consistent in every level. I had an issue (my fault) with the in room safe, and when I called for help, it was attended to immediately. Also, hotel is conveniently close to the metro, good restaurants and shopping. I don't always make time to review every hotel I stay in, only the ones that stood out and went above and beyond. I took the time to write this review as I've read some negative reviews that would have swayed me to book elsewhere, but I am so glad I chose to stay here. I highly recommend this hotel!
I really enjoyed myself at this property. The location is great and easily accessible from public transportation. The standard rooms are great and the upgrades that are being implemented are amazing ( we were fortunate enough to stay in both types of room). I thoroughly enjoyed The garden with adjoining restaurant as well. But what is most important to know about this property is that the staff is AMAZING! We were accommodated in every way. Every request was met and exceeded.
For those of us who travel frequently, friendly and attentive service always stands out. The standout feature of this hotel is how hard they try to make things work for you. For example, we arrived st 9.00am from a flight from Australia and the hotel could not give us our room early as it was busy with a conference. When we explained we only wanted a shower to freshen up after our long trip, Dimitri organised for us the key to a single room so we could shower and even rest for a few hours if we wanted. We were then invited to have a coffee in the lovely garden setting. Here we met a waiter who has worked at the hotel for over 25 years - his connection and pride in the hotel was obvious in his service. When we arrived back later in the day, our room was ready and our bags waiting for us. I read the reviews of others that the decor is somewhat dated. It is a bit but we're in Milan to experience the city, not sit in the hotel. And I'll take great service, great location (metro 50 meters and easy to walk to city centre), outdoor dining/bar over flash premises and average service any day. A tip, the bar is seriously popular as an Aperitivo hot spot for whose who in Milan. Book a table of you want to be part of this action. We've booked to stay again in a couple of weeks on our way back through Milano. (The sales start on 1 July - thank you Anna for the map with all the key shops marked on it!) Grazie Mille
With hindsight, I would have stayed somewhere else ! My room was tiny and tired. And that's after I declined to stay in a rat hole on the first floor. The bed was so uncomfortable, with a pot hole mattress, I had to turn it around to find a comfortable position to sleep. Everything in the room was tired and dated. From the furniture to the toilet seat, indicating lack of care and poor maintenance. I overlooked the garden, which is charming but terribly noisy. They play loud music until 11pm. I could hear it from my room and the conversations as if I had been right there. A cocky manageress told me that my spg privileges only applied if booked directly through spg. Amex platinum didn't achieve any better. The only good thing about this place is the bar, where drinks and hors d'oeuvres are excellent. It attracts a big young following. (the ones you hear upstairs, trying to get some sleep). Drink there. Stay somewhere else.
Sheraton tends to be a brand you can trust and that stands for acceptable quality, yet I've found this hotel lacking in even the most basic things. The location is not terrible but it is still far from the city centre, rooms are very small and must have been comfortable back in 1950 and the decoration is outdated. However my biggest disappointment was the food which in Italy tends to be pretty decent. I ordered room service and the vegetables were stale, the chicken was dry and the mozzarella was clearly not fresh. The ONLY thing this hotel has going for it is the garden area. In the night there is usually good music and you can order some pretty good cocktails
My daughter and I stayed from 21st-25th May. The hotel staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and very well appointed. Location was great, with the city centre being accessible by either public transport outside the door or by a short 15 minute walk. Restaurant food in the evening was extremely good and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay
I am writing this review as I would like to thank the Sheraton Diana for my stay in Milan for 3 nights from 28th May to the 31st of May 2017. The checkin was flawless. The room allotted was huge and great. The hotel staff is above excellence specially the concierge who went outside his way to be Extremely helpful and did everything asked and done with a smile. This hotel is right near the Duomo and right near the shopping district. This hotel is definitely a re- visit for me when I visit Milan again.
What a fabulous hotel with large rooms and the most helpful and pleasant staff. They go out of their way to help you. Would stay here 100 out 100 times. 👍perfect location. Right around the corner from the longest shopping street, surrounded by restaurants and a walk away from the main squares .
Visited Milano for a 3 day get-away and found this hotel perfectly suited. Great, central location close to the metro and across the street a huge park. Many small restaurants in walking distance added to our pleasant stay, in addition to a fantastic inner hotel garden where breakfast is served. The rooms are quiet and cool, clean and comfortable. The service is friendly and competent. We highly recommend this hotel for couples on a romantic get-away to Milano.
I'm honestly puzzled by this hotel.I cannot believe this is a Sheraton. I understand this is an old building in Milan, but why not restore it before using it as an hotel? my room was truly disgusting. an old and smelly green carpet with dirty walls and broken carpet. The bathroom was dirty too. the windows are old and do not insulate noise from outside. The hotel is on a busy street so there is noise all night. When I show some pictures of the torn carpet to the person at the lobby, he just told me "sorry, we know, we are going to do some restoration...".. meanwhile, they charge 189euros for a crappy room.... amazing.
