Booked two rooms for a family vacation in May 2018. Very unfriendly representative at front desk. Upon checking into our rooms we reported that our bathroom door was broken off in one room and the air conditioner in the other room did not work. He insisted that the AC did work but agreed to reset it after which time it came on. When we came back from dinner it was off again. I asked him to reset it and he became very frustrated saying many rude things including, "You Americans want everything," and actually started yelling at me invoking an argument. He did reset it again and it came on for about an hour after and then went off for the rest of the night. Spent the night in an uncomfortably hot room (80 degrees F, 27 C). There are many hotels with good customer service, but this guy is unfriendly (to Americans at least) so I would not stay here again.
I stayed in hotel Florence during design week in April. The rooms are basic but livable. The service though is inexistent. I left a pair of shoes and a scarf in the room and they were unable to find it after calling 3 times and speaking to the manager. All the information I got is they couldn’t find it.
Room was small but perfectly comfortable - clean bathroom, nice comfortable bed, and we were so lucky to have a room with big balcony (which would be even better if it was warmer outside:)). Location is great I guess it like 5 minutes away from metro station, which is only few stations away from Duomo. There wasn’t so much for the breakfast but if you’re staying just few days it’s again absolutely fine! I wouldn’t stay for a longer time but for the weekend gataway it was really perfect!
Hotel is very close to metro station and to the main Train station. We walked in 15 minutes from the main station to hotel. You don't need taxi or bus to Hotel. Check in was fast and perfect. The woman on the reception was really friendly and helpful.Big Thank You to her.We came early to hotel and room was ready they gave our room. The hotel and room very clean and we had a perfect room with balcony.Breakfast enough and very nice.Staff on breakfast saloon also friendly smiling and helpful. And Thank you for housekeeping people they were smiling and saying everytime : buongiorno...:) Grazie Florence Team
Small, warm well kept hotel. 24 hour reception close to Loretta metro. The room was cosy with good double glazing and effective shutters. The beds were comfy and daily maintained. Very clean and adequately furnished bathroom with soap and shampoo supplied. There's a safe and fridge for guests to use. Now the breakfast was an education if you're a traditional British person or have dietary needs! Plenty of sweet biscuits and cake such as Pantone, yoghurts, cereal such as coco pops. Lots of cheese and meats and strange warmer with boiled eggs, weaner sausages and peas or green beans!
In an expensive city, this hotel is reasonably-priced, but as a result, is a little distance away from the centre, outside of the main tourist areas. However it's only a ten minute taxi from the Central Station and all the sites are easily accessible by the metro from the nearby Loreto station. Although located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, there are several good quality restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel itself is a little dated and in need of a few upgrades and repairs. Our room was a good size, but the facilities were a little dated. The toilet seat was broken as was the shower door, and the shower itself was very small with hardly room to move in. The breakfast was fine with a decent continental selection and the staff were polite and helpful.
The room was quite small but OK. The bathroom does not look clean because of black mould behinde silicone in the shower cabin. Outside air conditioning unit was very noisy, so it was hard to sleep with window open and we needed to use ear plugs. Breakfast was fine, variety of choices. Hotel has a good position near metro station Loreto and it is not far from railway station Lambrate.
I got a tremendous deal for this three-star hotel and was concerned there would be a reason for that. There wasn't. This is a standard three-star with clean rooms, air-con and a decent three-star breakfast. The hotel is not exactly central but it is within a quick walk of Loreto subway station and a slightly longer one to the historic Tram No 1 - the best way to get in to Milan if you want to see the city.
The Hooper-Nash clan spent a day in Milan, A wonderful shopping City, even for your nan! A short night's stay on our Italian trip, We wanted something central yet cheap for our 1 nights kip, Hotel Florence was chosen by us, Close to the centre, although should have taken a bus, The staff were friendly, the hotel clean, The quality of the breakfast was a surprise unforeseen! A great selection of coffee, meats, cheeses and cereal, Our bellies were oh so full after our days' first meal! All-in-all a hotel to recommend, For our budget traveller friend, Perfect for spending a few days on your Milano tour, Our only request is that they improve the elevator! Many thanks to the Hotel Florence team, It was a great start on our Italian holiday dream! Next stop, Verona....
Hotel Florence is a very pretty hotel. It is a small, quiet hotel. The rooms are not very big, but there is enough place for you and your luggage. The bathroom and the room are very clean. They change the towels every day and they clean the room every day( there are some little remarks about the walls and the ceiling in the bathroom, but as whole it is ok). The breakfast is very good, there are different cheeses, croissants, breads, cakes, juices and etc., it is a buffet breakfast. You can order espresso coffee and you do not pay additionally for it, it is included in the breakfast. The staff is very kind, they ordered a taxi for us and they prepared a breakfast box for us because we left the hotel at 5 a.m. The hotel is very close to a station Loreto (about 3-4 minutes walking) . It is close to street Buenos Aires ( shopping street ). There are some local restaurants near to the hotel and if you are tired you can have a dinner there. There is a grocery shop between the hotel and the station Loreto - Carfour Express. The central station is very close to the hotel(1.5 km), as well. If I go to Milan again, I will choose this hotel again 😊.
