For a 2 days visit its a good alternative for the high rates in the center of Milan. In 10 minutes with M1 you reach Duomo Square. Very friendly staff, they help and advise you. Breakfast is simple, but OK. We will come back next visit!!!!!!
We had a good stay at Hotel Amendola. The staff were fast and responsive in their email communications. The hotel is a few mins walk from the Amendola Fiera, metro stop. It's located in a neighbourhood area
There was a very strong smell of cigarettes(room106! on the 1st floor). Everything in the room(especially the bed) was impregnated with this smell from some previous guests and nothing could be done. A receptionist(evening shift) who did not speak English gave us an air freshener, telling they do not have any other room available. We just slept with our cloves and with an open window(8 degrees outside)..In the morning we were smelling like the room too.. Also the shower was broken.. The receptionist tried to be polite and friendly, but it could not overshadow our bad night and the whole experience.
The staff was friendly at the desk, pretty good breakfast was provided. I was attending Cisco Live Milan and the location was close. The metro was like 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. There was a Thai massage center near by which was very convenient after a busy and tiring day. Some eateries near by including one India/Pak style one. A mini market was also near by.
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel which is set in a quiet and safe residential area. (my daughter has lived on the same street for the last 10 months whiilst studying at University in Milan). The twin room (No. 120) was spacious enough, and on the 2nd floor - there is no lift. The bathroom was ok, but the shower basin does fill with water very quickly and did leak onto the bathroom floor, but didn't cause a problem for us. On arrival, which was about 11.30pm, the room was very hot. At breakfast on the first morning, we asked Mustafa if he could check the air con was working and also provide a fan as it was unbearably hot during the night. He told us that the air con is controlled centrally and comes on at 2-4pm and again from 6-10pm, but he obliged with 2 fans which made a huge difference, and we had both on all night. Breakfast is basic, consisting of pre packed croissants, bread for toast, melba toast, "dairylea" style cheese, cake, 2 cerials, fruit juice and coffee. There's a toaster and microwave for you to use. Wifi was free and worked perfectly. A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom and also soap and shower gel packets - lovely white fluffy towels too! If your'e looking for a budget hotel, then I would recommend it. Everywhere was very clean and Mustafa was more than happy to help make our stay comfortable. I would use this hotel again. Overall, a very pleasant stay - thankyou Mustafa.
A simple hotel, but it offers anything you need. Spacy rooms, good shower, airconditioning and excellent wifi. At booking was indicated no breakfast, however a espresso machine was in the lobby and toast, brochettes and yoguhrt was free available. Location was good, a 10 min walk to the fiera, and also at 10 minutes walking distance you will find a good choice of restaurants
What to say. Quite near to the communication, small but comfortable in range of its stars:) Breakfast is the thing you may skip. I'm really dissapointed of coffe. Everything may be wrong in Italy but not coffee.
I really enjoyed my stay here. It is close to the metro station and quite close (15 minute walk) to MiCo which suited me well. There is not a whole lot happening in the local area in terms of bars and restaurants but there were a few. Very friendly guys work at the front desk. A proper espresso coffee every morning. Breakfast was adequate. All round a pleasant stay. Recommended for anyone on a budget.
I stay two nights on last weekend (summer time). The room is average, one bed is almost broken, the closet is not really good especially the flush. Everytime after take a shower, the water come out of the cabin. The worst part is air conditioning. The AC only ON at night but it turns off around 22.00. Can't you imagine HOW HOT it is in summer?? Even though they provide fan, but it doesn't help much.
I stayed in the hotel one night for business. The hotel is located in very quiet residential area. It is not far away from the metro station. There are some not paying car parking area not far away form the hotel (very difficult to find in Milano). The hotel is small and not very modern, but the room I used was very clean and had anything for a confortable stay at an affordable price in Milano. People at the reception were helpful and friendly. The WiFi in the room was fast and easy to connect. The brekfast was basic. I have been very happy with the hotel and I will use again for my next stay in Milano. I payed 100 € for a the room (brekfast incuded). I can definitevely recommend this hotel when you can have the room ata the same (or lower) price.
