The hotel is centrally located in Milan close to the Citadel and just half a meter from Muscova Metro Station. The service was wonderful. Great attitude, smile and assistance in every little thing. The room was very comfortable and without our asking we were offered a room on the top floor "to have more quiet." It turned out to be a great offer. On the evening the street filled with cafes and pubs, ice cream shops and a lot of noise. We enjoyed the hustle and bustle as we strolled down the street, but when we went up to the hotel room we were pleased with the silence. excellent.
Rooms are terrible: decoration (ugly 80´s), TV (no remote), tremendous beds, uneficient air conditioning, small windows. But: good size, good breakfast and nice location. So if you want to be in the middle of everything and have a good breackfast, but not sleep, is a good hotel. In Spain this is a Hostal 3* with a 60€ price per night.
27c this week in Milan and rooms facing sun could be warmer. I did not believe the bull about the local government forbidding the use of ac during certain hours. Don't take the risk find somewhere else.
Every time I come to Milan I try to book this hotel because I love the area. It's full of restaurants and shops and is very pretty and lively. The rooms would benefit from a make-over, they are a bit dated. The TV in my room wasn't working well. This time I got the single room, it was VERY small....
Lovely hotel very central, everybody very helpful.it is just across the road from the Moscova station, about 10 mins walk to the Duomo and shops etc. Lots of lovely little cafe and resturants around, lovely for sitting and people watching....
Where to start..everything about this place was horrible. We stayed four awful nights after booking online. Old rooms, the pipes banging in the wall kept us up one night for two hours. We didn't feel safe leaving at night because of all the homeless people outside screaming. One woman at the desk actually took the time to glare at the guests as they entered. Sometimes we stayed outside waiting for her to go on break to enter because my mother and I were tired of being looked at like that. They didn't restock things like toilette paper or cups in the rooms. We had to use our own tissues. The one time we approached the desk we were yelled at by the same woman who glares for bothering her when she was busy. The partiers outside at the bars could be heard in the room all night. The beds were rock hard. This hotel was recommended to us by visa, we will never look at their list again! When you travel as much as us, your hotels are your home away from home! We are very friendly Canadians from a small city. Never in my life have I been treated so imhumainly as I was at this hotel and based on the price I expected better. It ruined our time in Milan between the loss of sleep and the woman at the front desk. Pick hotels wisely my friends! I suggest the manager sends his afternoon curly brunette worker back to hospitality and tourism school because it is not ok to treat people, let alone paying guests like that!! Ps. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels so I have a lot to compare to, this one was by far rock bottom!
The decision to stay in Brera was the best it could be. From there, we walked to various sights of MIlão, besides being next to the entrance of the Metro (Moscova) and numerous interesting restaurants and bars. Eataly is also very close. Super full breakfast. Great experience, we still need late checkout, and the staff authorized it. We recommend!
My family stayed at this lovely boutique hotel in Milan in July 2015. The hotel is lovely - front desk was a bit stand-offish but the house-keepers and resto people were lovely. The breakfast is awesome! The location of the hotel was also perfect and walk-able. we loved it. The only draw back was that their AC was not very strong...
We stayed two days in Carlyle brera hotel, it was recommended by one of our Italian friend, hotel is nice and simple, staff at the reception is friendly and helpful. The best thing of the hotel is the location two minutes walk to moscova metro station. A lot of restaurant near by. I would recommend to everyone.
Booked this place via the HotelTonight app when I arrived in Milan from Barcelona on a solo trip a few years back. It's a great location, and I was able to walk outside and explore myself without the need to ask for directions. Lots of restaurants and bars are within very close proximity. Great mid-range property!
