This is a hotel/motel hybrid - which was not clear to me before we checked in. The door to our room was completely exposed to the outside and that was not a good surprise. Everything was okay and safe after all, but I am not a fan of motel set ups. There are inside rooms, but we did not get one of those. The rooftop pool was great and the property was clean. Staff was friendly.

If they stick you in the floor 1 rooms behind reception, be warned. Absolutely absurd that those are even rooms available. Luckily they very kindly moved me when I was concerned about the noise. The place is clean, basic, had a basic reno fairly recently so the rooms look pretty good. I wouldn't rush back but it's decent.

Front desk receptive to requests. Never figured out the lights. Need better and larger selections of LPs for phonograph. Few amenities in the room (e.g., shower cap). Nice to have wine on rooftop, but would have liked a small snack to go with it. Coffee in lobby of sunrise building should be available earlier — 7 not 8.
