c above or not and or make me re type it.... Location was perfect ! Clean and comfortable final attempt to submit.

Check in staff was great. Pool and bar area is very nice. Great value for the price.

Stayed in Miami for the weekend to attend an event. Everything was great about the room except there were no full-length mirror in the entire hotel to check yourself. Otherwise everything was as expected and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

My stay at the Astor was in the end good, with some hiccups along the way. The room they put me in was nice, but extremely warm. It appeared that the air conditioner wasn't functioning so they had put a portable one in there - which was unsightly and not at all effective. I woke up several times sweating during the night and not well rested the next day for work. The room also smelled a little "off". Not bad but just musty and old. In the morning, I noticed a bug crawling across the floor and told the front desk, who told me it was a baby roach - not a bed bug thank goodness. (I didn't realize that roaches are like house flies everywhere else in the country - so very common.) Either way, the manager was very kind and not only offered to move me to a different room among other things. They made it "right".

Friendly staff and overall good stay. Short walking distance to beach, restaurants and other stores. Would stay at hotel again. Cute lounge downstairs during the last weekend.

This hotel should not be listed as 3.5 star possibly a 1.5. First of all they offer valet at $32 there is no valet had to pay $50. Down the street. If you decide to get a room make sure it is in NOT on the 1st floor you can hear everything and everybody even taking showers. As for the room the hotel had NO Towels at all for the guest. I asked a manager he said there were NO towels what hotel does not have towels common curtesy. This hotel has NO pool and No use of beach chairs. Room was big is the only benefit. We also found hair that belong to someone else on supposedly clean sheets. Terrible stay No rest and had to purchase our own towels to shower. Please orbitz do not trick your consumers this hotel is rated WRONG!!!!!

The pros: The location is awesome, right on Washington Street so you can walk to the beach, shops and most bars/restaurants. The lobby is inviting and has a bar on the main level where you can use the Wifi, and have a cocktail. Pablo is awesome, he was very welcoming throughout our stay, my only wish is that he was there more often. The cons: The room was extremely dirty, holes in the walls, very outdated. I asked for an iron and ironing board the first night and they couldn't accommodate us with that. Basic amenities like an elevator, television, phone, hot water and even air conditioning were not promised throughout our trip. From the start I found that most of the amenities the hotel offered were not to be provided (elevator service was down most of the trip, key cards didn't work half of the time, no in-room dining as advertised, telephone didn't work, no ironing boards, wifi didn't work in the room, etc.) But what bothered me most about the stay was that the air conditioning didn't work half of the time. It was spotty, as well as the hot water but I don't believe those are amenities those are more code-violations if you ask me. When it's 80 degrees out, I would expect air conditioning to be a requirement for most hotels. This was the most disappointing. After I complained about it several times the woman on-duty offered to refund our amenity-fees which was equivalent to about $15.00 per day. Not enough to make me want to come back and re-book for another stay.

Astor Staff very warm and kind Lovely, Rosalyn and Gigi were very helpful and kind The staffs at the check in specially Laura was amazing I am looking forward going back again even though the building is pretty old The distance to the beach only about 5 min walk Lots of great restaurants of all kinds Really enjoyed

Hotel is nicely located, terrible service is terrible... It took me 1 hour waiting at the lobby to get my car from the valet service

The hotel was clean, located close enough to South Beach to walk to the ocean, and had a staff that was very friendly and professional. Loved the style and architecture of the hotel - definitely felt very South Beach.

Fabulous staff. Some rough edges, but the crew did their best to address my concerns. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishing and will benefit from ir.

The ONLY thing that was good about this hotel was the shower. They didn't have the room we paid for and that was the whole reason for picking this hotel. It was disappointing.

Great price! Great Location! The staff was friendly and they also had a shuttle from the airport.

Rooms were dusty/dirty from recent reno. Worst part was we were guaranteed (by email and reconfirmed) a cot for the room. None available so one of us wound up sleeping on the floor.

hotel is actually in a very good location near the south beach. recommend for budget travellers!

Upon arriving staff said our original room was given away for no apparent reason and our room was upgraded to the Astor Suite which was very nice but it has ants all over the place , bed was full of sand. Great walking distance to beach. No hot water. Complain to manager about the ants which he said they were no ants even though we showed him the ants plus we all had bite marks from them which he insisted that we were out on the beach. Room service cleaned up the room and even went through our belongings meaning wallets. If your looking for a great location this would be the place but I will not be staying here again. This is my second time visiting miami and I love it there.

Hotel refused to fix air. Very hot and humid. Had to call for assistance several times.

This hotel was perfect for me as I was in town for Pride. Two blocks from Ocean Drive and all the action. The rooms were spacious for this area and the bathrooms were fairly large. I stayed on the ground floor and it did get a bit loud being by the staff exit door...especially in the morning. I would certainly come again if I get the same rate.

Everything was great except not having a pool. But everything was in perfect walking distance!

Miami is my 2nd home, i love Ocean Dr, but love to stay away from the noise when resting..Astor was the place to be! Staff was AMAZING, location was GREAT..only 2 aves from Wet Willies and rest of strip...1st time at this particular hotel, and WON'T be my last
