Super cool place - service not great in the lounge or dining room. Also, we had confirmation that we had butler service for the rooms we were in but was told that they had stopped this service - only for the suites - so that was a disappointment! But overall everything else was fab!
"Time is money!" Don't steal my time!!! Check-in took 30min. After long travel with 2 small kids unacepable. Room is prepaid be ready for your guest with a room when they show up at 7pm. Door lock was broken, AC was brocken. Light switches don't work on all functions. Doors have very poor sound insulation. First room had elevator shaft behind bed with extreem poor sound insultation. You could hear all floor dings and ropes moving. Asked for robes for kids at pool, said they have none in the hotel. (they have them in the room) we then got normal robes with out belts. Where told we could go to spa to get them. Hotel has a top down management problem. It's very beautiful, but not a four season service. Food was very good for s beach. Room service charges are like traveling with a discount airline a fee for everything.
Wonderful hotel everything you need to celebrate you and your love is here..from restauant to beach to pool to cabaret theater all is espectacular!! Well trained staff very upscale venue.. wish I would of taken more pics
Good amenities, spotty service - nobody helped with luggage or opened doors late at night. Not great food. The staff at the front desk could not be less friendly at check-in or check-out. Very strange because the other employees are quite nice.
I wanted to do something special for my husband for the holidays. I treated him to the Tierra healing spa at the Faena hotel with the couple love chakra package. We were suppose to start with the meditation; however, the therapist, my husband and myself was unable to focus and relax due to a fire drill test which lasted for more than half hour. Couldn’t they block the schedule for such drill? The meditation therapist ,Tina, tried everything in her power to make us focus. However, My husband and I felt turned off. The fire alarm drill went on for 30-40 minutes while we tried to meditate which cause us to loose time from our paid services. We felt rushed and none the less the staff could not educate us properly on the package. It was truly frustrating. I came to relax Not to figure out when my next treatment was going to be or how long did I have to enjoy my couple suite. The best part of all no manager came by to apologized about all the inconvenience we had encounter. The Meditation instructor ,Tina, was the only one who went beyond herself to save the day. She kindly offered us two champagne glasses, but in reality I came to relax not to have a drink. I am so disappointed because the place is indeed beautiful. The massage therapist were good , just horrible service for such a prestiges Hotel and Spa. I didn’t not sign up for a spa month special. I paid top dollars and got a one star service.
The Faena was exceptional all around. The best service my family and I have ever experienced on South Beach. Friendly, professional, prompt, and attentive. From the restaurants to the pool to the beach to the front entrance/bellman guys. I'd like to thank Jose Sanchez, Lead Doorman, in particular, for being so kind and warm and welcoming to me and my family over and over again. What a good guy. He made us feel immediately welcome and like we had arrived back at home--each time we pulled back into the Faena. Thank you, Jose!!
I am writing this on my last night in the hotel. We booked a double queen courtyard suite in March 2017 for a 4 night stay 24-28th Dec. $1200 plus tax per night. My husband is disabled so we need 2 beds. I re confirmed 2 beds in Nov 2017. We arrived 12:00pm and room wasn’t ready. At 3:45pm we got got a lovely single king bed room. We raised issue immediately and waited and waited. At 5:30pm we were given a free upgraded to a lovely 2 bed suite $3500 plus tax. First thing we noticed was that the smoke alarm was running out of battery. Call to an engineer fixed the constant bleeping. Then We realised that it was right next to the lift shaft so very noisy at peak times. We had no turn down service on the first night. First day room wasn’t serviced until after 4pm. We asked our butler for it to be done 10-12pm and turn down between 7pm and 9pm. It was that day but third day it was 3pm and at 21:25pm tonight there is still no turn down. We asked for milk for tea 4 times over 2 days. It arrived 48 hours after check in with some cookies? A/C didn’t work in main bedroom so despite lowering temperature I had 2 nights of disturbed “hot” sleep. On third night realised it was faulty. Engineers arrived and turned it on to “freeze wife mode”. I tried to turn down and realised it was either full on and freezing or off. Engineer came back and said it was faulty and would take 3 days to fix. He turned it off. Another hot night. At 2pm on our third day I asked at front desk for it to be turned on 7-9pm whilst we were out at dinner to help chill the room. Just back and guess what it had it been not done and room is very warm. This hotel is stunning. Rooms are beautiful as are the restaurants but it is really disappointing on the service. We have a dedicated butler here and have seen the concierge several times but there isn’t the care or attention to detail needed make this a return venue or one we’d be happy to recommend. I come to a hotel to be looked after and there is so much that is good about the Faena but under the circumstances I cannot give it any more than 1 star.
Hello my TA friends! As many of you know we typically travel very well and have a 2nd grader in the house so we are particular about all the details. Our last splurge was La Reserve in Paris (read that review!) and we usually stay at Ritz/Four Seasons type hotels. Miami: We have stayed at 1Hotel (Thanksgiving), Miami Edition, FontainBleu, St. Regis Bal Harbour and countless others. I wanted to surprise the family and booked 3 nights at Faena after going kid friendly at Loews in South Beach for the first part of the holiday trip. This place is completely clueless in almost every aspect of the hotel business. The following story is exactly what happened. Check in at 12:30pm (we know a little early for regular check-in). They said they would text me when the room is ready. Not once did they tell us anything about the property at all! We wander out by the pool and find the restaurant and relax for a few hours. We ask the concierge where the kids club is and he says its probably "closed". He goes in the back and 10 minutes later says sorry its on the 14th floor 1401. We go up and find nothing. I call through the house phone and its actually 401 (we have met the kids club person at other hotels so luckily she was nice). At 3:30pm I call the front desk and ask "any updates"? They said yes your room is ready "just now"... I asked why I never got a text - They looked bewildered! Glad I asked them or we would have been sitting around all day. They assign us a room (never go over anything about the room at all!) We come in and thought our reservation was for 2 beds not 1. I call down at 4:20pm and they said they will look it over and call me back. At 5:40 (1 hour and 20 minutes later and 4 phone calls down) I went downstairs and asked them what is going on. Not a single person was working on it (including the manager Alicia). So, 20 more minutes pass and she calls up to explain the reservation and so almost 2 hours have passed with no luggage and no clarification - absolutely pathetic. I was fine with the room but had thought to double check. Things kept getting worse - everyday at breakfast one or more tables were asking for management and wondering where service was or food was. Always a lack of communication on all fronts. We even got a to go breakfast order for the beach and I personally had to teach them that when you give a to go order you put in utensils and napkins - they said "oh yeah". Cmon! and they forgot one item, but I can't complain about everything The pool area I would say is maybe a 4 out of 10. Janet Jackson was there in a cabana that looked like your neighborhood YMCA set it up. Nothing special... all the hotels I mentioned above have better facilities. The beach was nice, but nothing special same old chairs, waited 40 minutes for umbrellas, etc. If your paying holiday prices and getting this treatment... I can't understand who trains or runs this place. I bought my wife a 300 dollar spa treatment (I took her up since she wanted to know about the fitness classes offered during the week). Answer from the spa desk: "I'm not sure when those are, but I think we do them". Are you serious lady! She then said I think yoga and something else but not sure what days. I'm fine if your clueless just tell the customer that you will get the information and email it later. Don't act like you don't have a single clue about a fitness schedule. In the end my TA friends - Go to Pao or the cool panther lounge for drinks/dinner and enjoy the facilities one evening. However save your money, mental status, and time and stay elsewhere. This place from top to bottom has the poorest trained staff and management Monte has ever seen!
Star in Miami, Perfect Design and Service. colourful Arrangements made perfect. Wonderful view to the Ocean from floor 11th. Food in Pao very good, but noisy and high prices. It seems to be a real Hotspot in Miami Beach.
I was at Faena with some friends for lunch. The place is beautiful, nicely decorated, the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed cocktails on the terrace with people we've just met, had a laugh and then enjoyed our meal inside the hotel. The food was marvelous, the staff was great, amazing service and delicious drinks and food. We were invited to go to the club downstairs, but we had to go. Over all this place is super fun and very fancy.
