waste of time

Here's the deal. I went to VRBO for a quick stay on a certain date. When I booked it two things happened. 1) I was booked on the wrong date. It was supposed to be on the 12th not the 13th. 2) They double booked me on the same property and charged my credit card twice. I explained this to the host immediately and they suggested I might be able to move into something else they had on the 12th. This didn't happen and I never heard from them again. I sent several messages to cancel these mistakes and they did not respond. I called VRBO and they were just useless. It is THEIR system that does the booking and their system made the mistake. Instead of helping me they called the host and asked them to fix it and they did not. There is a serious problem here and it needs to be fixed. They need to reimburse me for the double booking but they seem to be ignoring the situation. VRBO's policy on how to handle this is plane wrong. You need to protect your CUSTOMERS. Also, whenever I sent a message it went ignored but they have a script bot sending you messages about how nice your stay will be. They seemed to, again, ignore the messages so why contact them? Lastly, these properties are bad for Mexico City. The market in Condesa is flooded with these properties and locals have nothing to rent. This whole area was better when these rentals were not legal. I don't like Claudia, but if she wants to help Mexico City, she should regulate this stuff out of existence. Don't stay here.
