Amazing place - research Oaxaca
PROS:
- amazing service
- perfect location - you can walk everywhere in town
-beautiful hotel
-great restaurant & coffee shop in hotel
-very clean
-filtered water in the bathroom was thoughtful
-nice toiletries- provided conditioner & slippers!
-pretty pool
-impressive art collection- the decorator has great taste
CONS:
-sound is an issue (hotel would benefit from soundproofing doors - even a rug or a fabric cover for the crack between the door & floor would help, or consider providing a white noise machine / ear plugs)
-bathroom is not properly ventilated- moisture doesn’t leave the bathroom / bathroom would be better if constructed out of tile instead of wood. Regardless, the bathroom was very clean & nice
-no hot water one morning (it is my understanding that this is not preventable in Oaxaca)
I really loved staying here. I would absolutely stay here again. The hotel was not as luxurious as I am accustomed to for this price range, but after seeing where my friends stayed in the same price range, I realized this hotel was very special. If you want extreme luxury in Oaxaca, you should expect to pay extreme luxury prices. This place was wonderful & I’d love to come back. Thanks for the memories
