This is a quaint small hotel, secure, with a great staff. It is walking distance to the Plaza Grande and all the wonderful shoppes and restaurants around there. I enjoyed our week long stay; but it is not 5 star luxury if you are expecting that.

Is a nice little place. Owners very accommodating. Breakfast was good. Room had a lot to be desired compared to other hotels in the area and the cost. the cost was more than what I was paying at other much nicer local hotels. Pool area is, well, there is a small pool more for people with disabilities. No area to sit around it. There was no TV. Wifi was between two networks, had to keep switching between the two as one or the other would go out. Owners have a yappy dog that barked every time someone came in. Rooms are off a nice central courtyard area but people would gather right outside my door and chit chat. Stayed there as where I was staying were booked that week and had to find other accommodations. Location is good. Bed was very comfortable. .

Can't say enough about the helpfulness of Patricia and staff. They assisted us in so many ways in the peaceful and cozy atmosphere of their guesthouse which happens to be within walking distance to the city center. We highly recommend staying here if you want exceptional service accompanied by a smile. Thanks for making your place feel like home to us while in Merida!

A modest hotel, very inexpensive with comfortable rooms. Basic but clean and efficient.

Hola Ivette, Thank you for your review ... not everything was bad ... :-) Casa Carmita is very quiet place to rest or enjoy taking with us or other guest. May be it wasn't the perfect place for you even because you was a little ill. But ... we have a dog, 2 cats, fishes and a turtle that never find becasuse she is a freedom spirit ... :-) Somethimes people arrive and feel the concept ... and sometimes not ... The rooms has all you can need, except TV because it's a quiet place and we don't like noises ... except the birds and the dog when a guest arrive. We consider that Candy is a toy more than a dog ... and very good company for some guests. Casa Carmita is a Colonial "hause", so the area for the pool is limited ... we think that te pool is enough for rest but of course not for swinm. Well we don't expect that all guest enjoy in our place ... but it was nice to having you at the hause ... you was a very quiet an polite guest ... Best regardas, Patricia.
