Check in was painful.....computer system was down. The assigned a room to me where TV did not work. Took HOURS to get reassigned to another room. But the most aggravating thing was my key card rarely worked in my room door and I had to get it reprogrammed over and over again, which didn't always work. The good thing was the staff were as frustrated with that as I was and often went with me to use their master key to get me in my room without complaint.
I liked the room, it was very clean and looked really cool when I walked in!
Well located, easy access to hwys , sorry, I forgot, room 111, the bathtub’s drain is partially clogged up
The hot water went out the 1st night . It was back hot the next day, thank goodness!
Great location near plenty of shopping and restaurants. Seemed like a safe neighborhood too.
Staff was pleasant and helpful, landscaping was a nice touch viewable from inside and out
Elevator broken at one end, entry door broken at the other end forcing guests to walk the length of the building to access their rooms. Stairs available. Hot tub out of service. While it is clear some renovations have been done (hallway carpet is nice) they have done the bare bones minimum in updating this place. Our room had an outlet that, instead of patching the area, they painted and textured over the plastic outlet cover. Also, the sink did not quite reach the new countertops so they caulked about 2 inches of space which looks terrible and caused the entire faucet to wiggle when turning it on. Finally our door kept sticking causing us to have to put a shoulder into it to make it open. Truly not the quality of LaQuinta that we have experienced in the past in other cities. Stayed 2 nights ($114/night) which turned into over $270 for the stay with taxes.and fees. This facility is NOT worth that! The loud family across the hall and people talking loudly as they walked down the hall only added to the frustration. You can hear everything in the hallway and when you're trying to sleep and the people across from you are standing in the hall gabbing it up, opening and closing the doors repeatedly, it becomes frustrating in a hurry! The rooms were clean however, and you cant beat the pet policy but there is still so much improvement needed to justify that price in my opinion. Will try LaQuinta again but will not likely return to this one. Really disappointing.
staff was very nice and pleasant to work with. the rooms by the elevator are loud, room wasn't spotless, had stains all over, dirt and mold. the extra blanket we requested was so thin and worn down. breakfast was pretty sad looking. our floor was so loud, a group of people had parties two nights in a row, screaming and running around the floor. we didn’t sleep those two nights. noise control was not there and felt sorta unsafe as those guests would walk around all night and stand at our door (located by elevator).
No working pool, guest with loud barking dog that woke me up at 6:30 a.m and breakfast was a disappointment
The pool didn’t work at all and this was the main reason why I stayed at this hotel they should of said this over the phone when I called and asked ,then we got stuck on the elevator for a sec you all need to get that elevator fixed
Staff were always very helpful and pleasant. Hotel is in need of some tlc.
Great place to stay, especially if you are a dog lover!
The hotel staff was very professional , polite and accommodating. The Facilities were very much average due to the age of the hotel and up keep. This tends to be the norm for lower priced hotels in the area. The continental breakfast was outstanding well stocked and exceptionally clean. Very pleasing stay for the week.
We had issues with our toilet not flushing the first time and our main door handle would stick sometimes. But overall it’s a nice hotel in a nice area of Memphis.
The hotel was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, the food was great, and the room was comfortable. The only problem was that we could hear every word from the room next door, and they were up all night watching tv. We didn't sleep at all. It is unfortunate, because the hotel was wonderful except for that.
