We checked in on a Thursday March 23rd. My daughters and I didn't have 2 feet in the door before we saw it-the sign that said the pool was closed for renovations!! I had 2 very disappointed 12 year olds on my hand as this is the second spring break in a row we've stayed somewhere only to find out the pool was closed. I wish hotels would report or post things like this to Orbitz so the customer knows ahead of time. Once we got past the disappointment of the pool we walked in our room. I'm not sure if it had been newly redone or what but it had a very strange smell to it and it caught us off guard every time. The bathroom had a moldy smell to it as well. Our room was very clean though and perfect for what we needed it for. In the future I will request a room that's not next to the same wall as the elevator as we did hear it go up and down all night. The staff was very friendly and my daughters loved the lending locker where they checked out a game to play. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and it's 10-15 to just about anywhere you want to go. We liked the hotel in general but next time I'll make sure the pool is open whether it's there or any hotel we stay at.
It was a great stay. The only negative is that the water heaters malfunctioned, but the staff went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience.
My trucks was broken into, and my DVDRadio was stolen, plus my amp and speakers.
We use whenever we can. A great chain of hotels. They have everything you need for a stay, you don't need to go out to eat, you can buy at the "pantry", or get take out. Same price as most other good hotels, yet they have amenities most others don't have. Excellent place to stay.
This room was perfect for my family. We were able to cook in the room for the children. There was enough space for us all. The room was clean and neat. Staff was very friendly.
My husband and I got a room for New Years Eve. The room was average Candlewood, however, there was clearly a rowdy party a few doors down that lasted for hours, full of cursing, loud hallway talk/yelling, and the walls seemed thin (we could hear the music which got louder each time they slammed the door letting people in/out). I don't believe they were our next door neighbor, but maybe our neighbor's next door neighbor. In all fairness, it was New Year's Eve/New Year, but I'm convinced we were the only ones on the floor because no one (including us) seemed to complain to management. Complaints were definitely warranted/appropriate, but we were preoccupied...In short, thin walls is a negative for this location.
MY AUNT PASSED AWAY, AND I HAD TO GO TO THE FUNERAL. THE HOTEL AND THE PEOPLE WERE WONDERFUL AT MY TIME OF GRIEF. THE HOTEL LOCATION WAS VERY CLOSE TO MANY OF MY RELATIVES.
