A great hotel with self catering facilities, very friendly and helpful staff and in a good location. The only negative would be that the aircon seemed to only be in the bedroom and the controls didn't appear to have any effect so the room was a bit on the warm side. Not enough to put me off staying here again though.
Great small hotel in the heart of Melbourne. Spacious and well appointed with good sized bathroom. From my perspective I would probably want to divide the large room up a bit more and have a door into the bedroom rather than a half partition.
Awesome hotel. Excellent location and nice and quiet. Great service from all staff and would definitely stay again. The restaurant is great too with excellent staff again. The beds are comfortable and rooms very spacious
My family stayed in the 2 bedroom units.Well appointed & clean. Amazing staff. Carpet needs some attention & the shower recess needs replacing, Great location, very quiet. Would definitely stay again.
Recently stayed in a 1 bedroom spa deluxe apartment. Huge self contained apartment. Very clean and comfy bedding. Great location, very central. Breakfast average, hot items were sitting there for a while as there were not many people at breakfast. Decided to go and pay for breakfast at Higher ground down the road on second day. Great stay, bar area very nice and relaxing although not busy at the time we were there. We were offered late check out at $20 per hour the next day, although when we rang that morning we were denied that deal that we were offered by assistant manager the night before. Disappointing but we left our bags there all day which helped. We would stay again but wouldn't include the breakfast.
I stayed in an Executive Studio for 3 nights from September 4 and it really was very nice and comfortable. I'm not giving 5* because the rooms don't have a safe to keep passport etc and the noise in the ground floor restaurant is deafening. Even when I was checking out at 6am the 'music' was blaring out. For heavens sake turn it off, otherwise, thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
Mantra is well situated near Southern Cross Station for access to the airport and is just a short walk to the all wonderful boutique shops and Melbourne's famous little restaurants. The staff at Mantra are delightful and the rooms large, clean and very comfortable - the room service also offers good food for the late night traveler.
Great place to stay, very central, easy walk to the shopping areas in Bourke St. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, very clean and comfortable, kitchen had microwave and a double hob if you want to cook but there are plenty of restaurants within easy walk. Breakfast was very good, both continental and full breakfast was available. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again when back in Melbourne.
Studio is good size, bed is nice. Location is close to my office, but not too noisy. TV could be upgraded to a bigger one. Kitchenware not really adequate if you want to cook a full meal, but the target market most likely won't cook dinner anyway. Not a problem for business trip.
My wife and I were very impressed with the service, room and especially the bed, which was amazingly comfortable. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly, definitely a case of extreme value for money!
