The reception staffs were very helpful, when I couldn’t connect to the wifi. The checked in and out were smooth. The room was always cleaned when we were back at the end of the day. Location is very convenient, near trams and QVM! A lot of Asian cuisines around.

I booked in May as a Gold member and to celebrate my son's birthday but my requests were not honoured even though I emailed the property direct prior to,our stay. The check in staff had no idea of the special requests. The room was only just adequate for 3 adults (they only thought two were booked!) The electricity failed 4 times during our stay. The car pick up from the airport (organised under the Accor umbrella) was not as advertised. We were not met at the arrival hall; the driver spoke no English; it took us 25 minutes to locate him with the help of a Wilson security card. I provided feedback but no one from the Company has contacted me. We went back to the airport by SkyBus...a much better and cheaper experience. The assistant manager took note of our complaints and I am sure will try to help us next time...the only problem is there will not be a next time and I am unlikely to renew my Accor membership.

We had an appalling wait for the hire car, recommended by Accor, at the airport. Then a journey in silence as the driver had enough English to tell us that he couldn't speak English.Followed by arriving at the hotel to be greeted by staff who could barely speak English. This hotel appears to be mostly concerned with tourists from Mainland China. We do not speak Mandarin, so therefore we were at a serious disadvantage. There was a great deal of confusion over our booking and request for an upgrade. This was not satisfactorily explained until our last few hours in the hotel. The room we were allocated had 4 power cuts in the 36 hours that we stayed there. EVENTUALLY, we spoke to an Assistant manager, only to find that the fault in the electrics was known about!!! We were given a birthday cake for our son and his overnight parking fee was waived.

We have been there during our honeymoon. Service was just awful: room with no view (in front of a building) and no window to open, unable people on the reception at our arrival that did not know about our honeymoon offer (we should have a bottle of wine), and that gave us no news about city and things to do (no news about free tram, we asked for bicycle rentals and the guy had nothing to say), and no care for guests in general.

Within walking distance to Queen Victoria Market. Room is equipped with basic facilities, but there is no dustbin in the room (except one tiny one in bathroom) . Breakfast spread is alright, but may get bored over it as it's the same everyday.

Good Location easy to go to Victoria Market and other place but Breakfast is same menu every days for 4 nights. The hotel should be change menu of breakfast. The staff is ok. Room is clean and comfortable.

At check out they told me that everything was fine and they told me that they would have sent me the check by email. Once I received it, I’ve got a bad surprise. They added a night in the parking that I’ve never used because the parking lot was full that night and they knew this very well and the receptionist told me that, of course, that night wouldn’t be added to my bill! Than they added to my check also 20 bucks for breakfast. During my stay, I only bought 2 cappuccino as extra, and the cost of them was 10 dollars. But what I think is that everyone can do a mistake. So I sent immediately an email to complain about these extra they added to my bill. At this moment nobody answer me yet! The only one who replied me was the headquarter of ibis who told me that would sent my complain to reception at Melbourne ibis. At this moment nobody answered me yet and nobody gave me back my money. I will be waiting for them!!

Arrived to check-in after car parking. Checked in by the manager, our room type was full so they gave us a two bedroom suite which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice big fridge, comfortable beds and a nice living area. We visited Queen Victoria Market which is very close by. The breakfast was unremarkable. Check-out was quick and easy. Would recommend.

Stay here for 5 days and was pleasantly surprised as it was a last minute kind of trip, and i do not have much time to read reviews. Ibis in general is always a hit and miss kind of hotel with miss more than hit. Cant beat the location, right opposite the skylink airport bus. 10-minute walk to Melbourne central, the beautiful RMIT campus & State Library close by. A whole street of restaurants and shopping. My personal opinion, Melbourne’s food scene is simply fantastic, thoroughly enjoy my holiday here. Room I got is simple yet spacious and clean, a good decent size bathroom, wish to take this opportunity to praise the housekeeping, thank you for keeping my room clean, tidy and change my sheet after the third day. Really appreciate it. Staff are friendly and professional. However the breakfast could maybe upgrade a bit as I don’t understand why I have to pay an extra 3 dollars for a pouch egg?! And the water pressure is something that should be work on. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and will definitely come back if I find myself in Melbourne again. BTW, I love the city.

The room was big, spacious & clean (More about this later). They had a big sofa, a big fridge & a big bed. However I have to say their housekeeping was inconsistent. Despite me asking for 1 more hand towel & 1 more bath towel on Day 1 as there were 3 of us in the room, most of the time the housekeeper did not provide 3 of each. We had to leaving a note on the table. We also needed more hangars & 1 more box of tissues. So we called Front Desk but it took a long time for them to come. It took 15 to 40 minutes. Sometimes it was the next day during housekeeping! It was frustrating to be kept waiting. I am not sure if the housekeeper is supposed to wash our dishes as there were no detergent/sponge provided. So we guessed she will do it. There was one time we came back early around noon to put our stuff. Our housekeeper was inside washing the dishes. I wanted to smile at her but I stopped when I saw she was washing the dishes with her bare hands. No soap/sponge! We became more careful after that. Each time we wanted to use an utensil, we would see carefully if it is clean or not. There was one time we saw there was soy milk stains on the wok! This confirms the No-Sponge-No-Soap incident was not a one-off incident. Do look CAREFULLY at your utensils if u want to use them. Once, the housekeeper gave a small pack of detergent. Ok, so we get the hint she wanted us to wash the dishes ourselves. But there was NO sponge. We used our bare hands to wash the dishes. At least, it is cleaner.
