A rather wonderful oasis with both fine dining and wine tasting onsite, both of which we enjoyed very much. The room was also very nice. Reception staff attention to detail and knowledge was middling so recommend that the management consider actions there.

Beautiful grounds, staff were lovely. We got upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was a nice surprise. My daughter has food intolerances and they were a great help with heating up pre prepared food etc. Breakfast was beautiful with gorgeous views over the Yarra Valley. I would love to come back.

A Perfect Family Getaway at Balgownie Estate! We had a wonderful time staying at Balgownie Estate with our family. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful vineyards and rolling hills — perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable for us and our kids. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We loved the on-site restaurant — the food was delicious, and they had great options for both adults and children. There were plenty of things to do nearby, including wineries, chocolate and cheese shops, and fun outdoor activities for the kids. We especially enjoyed the hot air balloon views in the morning and the stunning sunsets in the evening. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing Yarra Valley experience with a touch of luxury!

Lack of soundproofing in the rooms unfortunately took away from being able to wind down & relax. It was if the walls were paper thin. We could hear a whole family of people in the rooms below us speaking loudly & playing games up until after 12midnight. The staff were wonderful

We stayed here with another couple for a relaxing weekend in the Yarra valley. The location is amazing, beautiful views and an amazing team and restaurant. We enjoyed the 3 course dinner and the food is sublime. The wine matching to the meals was top notch and we will definitely be back. Thanks Balgownie.

The steam room and pool Jets were out of order, and the Suna advertised is misleading as it isnt actually available to guests unless booked via the spa. Apart for this the staff were amazing, the resturant and wine tasting was amazing, and the room was great!

TOTAL DISGRACE

we booked room for 3 ADULTS for mothers day stay in this hotel. when arrived, find out ther is only one king bed. ask front desk staff Maddilin for a extra bed when dining. 2 and half hour later we finished meal. told by front desk staff needLIN ere is nothing they can do because we didn't inform them we need two beds. and the.house keeping staffs are off duty. even no help offered when we ask for a extra lenine and blanket TO MAKE OUR OWN BED USING SOFA. she also claim the hotel is fully booked except the director's suite when we ask to book another standrad room which we find untrue by checking hotel.com later. we keeped screenshotfor evidence. when ask for solusion. told us to contact our booking agent to rebook for a two bed room at 930pm. refuse to contact higher manager until we are very upset. extremely rude and bully attitude. when we ask to talk to manager, she threating to remove us from front desk. eventually we paid more than 701.07 dollars extra to change to the director suite.

Their error = no customer care!

Room is nice and was clean. Staff friendly on check in. We had late check out arranged however staff made an error and our room was entered by cleaners early while at breakfast & stripped. When we returned to the room we alerted them we had not checked out. As a result a personal photo was removed from the room & 2 pairs of earings missing which they refuse to accept responsibility for. As compensation they offered a mid week stay which we cant use due to work or a free dinner which would be a 2 hour drive.. both very unreasonable considering the situation & personal loss. They refuse to offer a weekend stay to replace the night we actually paid for and nothing for the lost earings. Very very poor customer care.
