Escape to this picturesque Queen Anne Victorian house on the National Historic Register at over 150 years old. This is the JJ McAlester House, founder of the Town of McAlester, which blends classic architectural styling with all the modern conveniences that you are looking for in a family/group retreat or a romantic getaway for couples.
This gorgeous property has been completely renovated over the years and boasts 4 comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is space to sleep 12 adults comfortably. Bedrooms include One (1) King Bedroom, One (1) Queen Bedroom, a third bedroom with two (2) Full Beds, and a Bunk room with four beds-including one (1) Bunk Bed (twin beds), one (1) full bed, and a one (1) trundle single bed that pulls out from under the full bed. Additional sleeping options include a sofa-bed in one of the living rooms.
Entertainment and Relaxation Areas
Guests will feel right at home with high speed wi-fi and televisions in each of the bedrooms, along with 70+ inch televisions in the two living areas (YoutubeTV, and Disney+/Hulu/ESPN bundle throughout the house). Central heat and air, laundry room, and game room with pool table, classic arcade games, and dart board. Read a book or enjoy company out on the expansive wrap around porch area, take a stroll out on the 2 acre grounds, play a tune on the Grand Piano, or spend your time cooking a gourmet meal in the spacious kitchen with modern appliances, including a double oven.

We loved our stay. Beautiful historic home. Perfect setting for our extended family gathering. Lots of spaces to sit and visit, plus a room and toys just for the kids. The house was spotless, had all of the basic necessities and a few nice extra touches, like coffee and creamer and some bottled drinks. It was very welcoming. The beds and bedding were comfortable and having a first floor bedroom was perfect for our guests that struggled with stairs. Hosts were friendly and communication was clear and prompt. We’d stay again for sure!
