Okay... where do I start? Check in: rang the bell and Cody comes out, but I had to wait for him to finish playing with his phone before he could help me. Sorry your job interrupted your entertainment... he checks me in and asks me to sign the paper... can I have a pen? He then tells me where the elevator is, to which I reply "thanks. First floor but I guess it's good info..." he laughs oh yeah. My reply? "Thanks to m for being a reward club member, why yes I would like the extra points thanks for asking..." Cody, are you working or am I bothering you? The room is crazy musty. Every chair needs replacing. The shower has only a cloth curtain, I mean I could go on but you get the idea right? Theres a perfectly good HI Express less than a mile away, call and get an extended stay rate from their sales manager, you'll be happier. So why 3 stars? Honestly this is a 2 star hotel but one thing saved it. In the shower are refillable full sized shampoo and conditioner. Would like to see recycling but it's a start. Now just fix literally everything else

My husband and I were in the area for business and had a great stay here. First, Skylar at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. Great first impression! Our room was very clean and once we turned the ice maker on, had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated being able to print things in their business area and the free laundry with the fitness room attached ( great way to wait for your laundry- hop on a treadmill). We have stayed at Candlewood Suites in different areas of the country and have never been disappointed. Great service from the front desk staff when we had a question or paid for items from the Cupboard. They even have wineglasses if you ask for them. You can get a 10% discount at the restaurant in front of the hotel, The Rib Crib. Ate there twice. Excellent food and service. If your group consists of adults, I recommend sitting in the bar area. The hotel is set back from the main road and is very quiet, but with many restaurants and a Walmart nearby. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is located among dozens of others along the interstate in McAlester. The service is good and the rooms were spacious, complete with kitchenette. Ours were very clean but our companion said there was hair on the wood floor in her room. Beds were very comfortable and noise was not a problem. There was no free breakfast but there is a room off the lobby full of food you can purchase. Rooms had coffee and even popcorn for the microwave. Obviously designed for travelers planning on staying more than one day. Good, clean facility. Only con was a faulty bathroom light in one room; plus the building does not have a covered drive through to keep you out of the rain when loading or unloading luggage.

I made a reservation for one night (7/3/18) saying that I needed a room for three adult males. The person confirming the reservation said they can provide a rollaway bed in addition to the king bed and sofa sleeper. I agreed to that arrangement. On the night of the stay I was told that the rollaway was unavailable but the room has a chair that someone could sleep in. I told them this was unacceptable but was not given any other options such as a single room for one person. Besides the rotting fruit in their "Pantry", a lack of soap in the room, and few other things, the idea that a hotel would make a guest sleep in a chair was the reason for the Poor rating.

Was difficult to book online. Had to go the old fashioned way and call. Price went up from internet to phone. Not sure why but still a reasonable price for a night’s sleep. Room was a bit musty but nothing horrible. Full kitchen, decent bed, nice shower. Didn’t like that there was a pre-set room temperature that couldn’t be changed. Had trouble with the TV but Cody fixed it quickly. He was most pleasant and offered to refill the complementary fruit basket when we arrived. In addition to complementary fruit (apples and bananas) coffee and Lipton tea, they offer snacks for purchase. No food service but plenty of places to eat close by. Nothing fancy but certainly clean, comfortable and affordable. As mentioned in other reviews, furniture needs updating. I think the chair pictured in an earlier review was actually the chair in our room. We laughed so hard when we saw it. A managers response from February said they were in the process of replacing furniture. Sooner rather than later would be my recommendation. May be better off removing chairs like that while waiting for replacement furniture. There are two other chairs in the room. No need to keep the tacky chairs around.

This hotel offers a lot of space and amenities for the price. It has a complete kitchen, which is great for those who want to prepare their own meals or have dietary restrictions. I enjoyed peace and quiet on my floor, which is something hard to find in many hotels. The desk staff seemed competent, but not exceptional. The bed was pretty comfortable, though seemed to be on its last leg. The bed linens felt thin and worn, but the towels were good and substantial. As others have noted, the upholstered furniture is obviously worn and should have been replaced long ago. I had a generally good stay here. If the rooms were updated a bit, it would be very nice. If you value having a kitchen, that's a good reason to stay here. The trade-off, of course, is that there is no free breakfast provided.

This property was clean and fresh, the staff helpful, the wifi fast, the beds comfortable and the price was really good so it is really ok. However, everything is well used and it shows. The office chair in our room was fake leather and it was worn down to the underlining and could not be adjusted. That is unacceptable. There were stains on the carpet. The cabinets, fixtures, air conditioner, and decorations were all original with the building and there were nicks and scratches on most of them. Breakfast is only fruit. But again, for the money the place was ok.

Booked for the price and the kitchen, will come back for so many reasons. I called the hotel to request a quiet room. Top floor, corner - perfect! King bed, BIG kitchen - perfect. Towels are lux and fluffy. Full size washer and dryer, and gym. They have a "borrow" library, movies, games…and a grocery store. We worked every day on a lake home and needed a respite from the heat, so for me the bath was wonderful every night as was the Good Morning every early day. This home away from home was perfect.

We drove to Texas and this hotel was listed on the "Points Break" list and was located in a good spot to stop both on our way down and back. Very clean, large room with a comfortable bed. Chairs need replaced as they had worn spots in the material, and we didn't have the same room twice and the chairs in the second room were in the same condition, other than that no complaints. Staff were pleasant and helpful

My husband and I were driving from Illinois to Texas - about 14 hours. We hit Mcalester about 11pm and decided we were too tired to do the remaining four hours. We were able to get a last minute room here. There were no king rooms available but we got a room with two double beds. Jessica at the front desk was very friendly and she got us checked in promptly. We were on the second floor, room 215, it was near the elevator but we had no noise issues. Our room was very spacious, clean, and we got a good nights rest before finishing our drive the next morning.
