An absolutely beautiful room with such a spectacular view. It made our anniversary trip such a fantastic experiment.

The Hotel is a little old and it shows by their rooms and amenities. I booked directly through the resort and had chosen a front ocean view and and I paid extra just for that room. When we checked in we got a room off the side, partial ocean view. They told us we had been upgraded. But the room was seriously small, dirty and a bunch of spiders and bugs in clear view, NOT what I wanted. They told us the room we wanted wasn't available until the next day and we could get it for a discounted price of the difference. That really bothered us since I had spent $30K for my wedding and 5 rooms for my family staying at the same resort. They told us the rooms aren't a guarantee. So why tell us the rooms were available when we booked them? If you stay here DO NOT bother staying in rooms above the 8th floor. They are exactly the same and have no other significant value other than your higher in the building but they will charge you way more for them. Overall the staff is what made our stay comfortable. Our wedding whent on without a hitch and we overall enjoyed our stay on the beautiful clear sandy beaches.

We arrived very late (1:am) due to United Airlines screwing up We booked a room with two beds even called to make sure but there were none to be had Our first night but the next day the Staff made sure We got Our two beds. United screwed Us out of most of the first day and getting any sleep the first night. The Staff at the Royal Lahaina Resort made it all feel better

The hotel is really nice and conveniently right on the beach. We would have loved everything, however we wish we were told about the complimentary trolley that went around the area, as well as another shuttle that was $3pp that takes you to other nearby areas that the trolley doesn’t take you to. Also, upon check in, for some reason, the name was not under my married last name (which is what I booked under), and it was under my maiden name (which was moved to my middle name). They had trouble finding our reservation because of this. Luckily, on my driver’s license, I have both names. Not a huge problem, but it was a little bit of an inconvenience.

Great location. Close to great beaches and snorkeling. Ocean view was a partial view but still nice. Our room was very comfortable as well. It is a well maintained property with helpful and nice staff. Hotel restaurant was good with very comparable pricing to other places in the area. There is also a free trolley that picks you up in front of the hotel to take you to Walers shopping and other resort properties nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing experience. Beautiful hotel, gorgeous grounds, perfect beach. All around loved it!

Loved the location. Mostly friendly staff, nice restaurant, beautiful beach, great luau next door. Deep pool seemed a bit run down and unclean

The Hotel is very nice. We stayed in the cottage near the pool and bar. It did not have any type of heating or cooking facilities like a microwave or toaster. If you are looking for that you need to book the upper floor. The one draw back was that they closed the hot tub at 7:00pm which I feel is much too early but the grounds are beautiful and the room is very nice and clean.

Nice room with decent views. We got a standard room but were told that we are being put on the third floor where there is literally nothing to see. We had to wait and ask in different ways to get a higher floor in the standard room instead. Finally we got a 4th floor unit. Bedding was comfortable, balcony chairs were nice. We could see the mountains on the left and the beach on the right. So the views were nice (one problem is as soon as you go into the balcony you see a green roof with lot of utility stuff) but if you ignore that and look to your left and right, its pretty great. Overall staff seemed a little off at the concierge. But the restaurant food was decent and they even made a few adjustments as we were vegetarians and the service was pretty good. Best part was we even got to watch the dolphins swimming while having lunch! Overall, we had a good stay. The room service was great, the restaurant food is delicious and you have direct access to the ocean!

With wonderful walkways along the beach to jog or walk in the morning, swimming pools to cool off in. Walk to the Castaway cafe for breakfast. The grounds are beautiful.

It was a wonderful experience. The resort is more intimate than most which is nice

Stay was amazing! Only thing I really didn’t like about the room was the lighting in the bathroom. Im not a talking full face but it would be nice to see what I was putting on.

We are a family of four and thought our room was very comfortable. We had the garden room which was perfect, we walked right out to the pool and beach without having to go inside the resort. Our family had a great trip! I am thankful we picked this resort. The staff was very accommodating and the location was perfect!

Excellent location but overall service poor! Room very old and not so clean.

Awesome ocean view and room was very nice. Easy to find and lots of convenience around the resort

Nice hotel but a little dated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Good experience.

Staff was very friendly, especially in the coffee shop and snack bar near the beach walk. Not great view of golf course over the roof. i.e. think there was some trash on roof outside of room. Room felt little dated but otherwise very comfortable and clean. Mattress was very comfortable. Can't ask for closer access to the beach. Was little surprised about $15.00 per day parking fee and on occasion had to park quite far from the hotel. Overall had an excellent stay and would choose Royal Lahaina again. Mahalo, Rick P. Cortland, OH

Was a good value for what it was, but everything around Kaanapali is overpriced.

This is the single worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room smells of mildew. The lobby smells of raw sewage. The shower leaks. The hot tub closes at 7pm without notice. Towels are not available after 5pm. Room service does not answer the phone, but will return calls one hour later. The concierge is a jerk. Every member of the staff answers with "well I didn't do it." I recommend staying at a $50 Best Western instead. Even if the roof leaks, you get what you pay for.

Aloha, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We apologize that the front jacuzzi closes early. There is a second jacuzzi back by the tennis courts that closes later. We are very happy you enjoyed the rest of your stay, and we hope to be able to welcome you back soon.
