Robertswood House

Robertswood is a charming and imposing stone-built country residence with three floors of Victorian elegance.
Just under a mile from the centre of Matlock set upon Farley hillside with stunning South-facing views across the Derwent Valley and surrounding picturesque Peak National Park.
There are 8 double en suite rooms.
There is a spa garden available for hire if required, with hot tub, sauna, changing room, toilet and plunge shower. This is a further £450 per weekend stay.
Guest access
The whole of the main house is exclusively for guests, including the spa garden at the side of the property if this has also been booked. There is a totally separate self contained apartment at the rear of the property sometimes used by the owners.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen and 8 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 8 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and an electric kettle.

Had a lovely long weekend at Roberts wood. An ideal property for a family get together. Along with the lovely views, the house is well equipped and the bar area was a big hit too.

New Year Family break

Superb trip from start to finish. Marylyn the host was excellent from the moment we booked the trip until the minute we left the property. Nothing was too much trouble and the property was amazing and even better than the photos suggest. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great house with excellent facilities, amazing views in a great location.

Awesome house!

We booked Robertswood House so family could come together for my daughter’s wedding at a nearby hotel (a shout-out to Peaks Edge Hotel - they did a superb job for the big day!). We used 7 out of 8 bedrooms and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The bar in one of the ground floor rooms (think a small traditional Northern English pub)/hot tub/sauna were a great hit with family members of all ages. The house is actually better than described - awesome space, incredibly well fitted out and stocked with everything you need. The owners were nearby and very attentive, helpful and genuinely nice people - thank you to Marylyn and Dave!! If you need 8 bedrooms in the Matlock area, don’t think … just book here! I genuinely believe we will be back … even if the trip from upstate New York isn’t quick.
