Not as you would expect for a hotel

Reasonable location. Disappointing facilities - book in closes at 18.00 (no reception after this time) and restaurant closed on Sunday evening. Room comfortable and clean but public areas bleak and unwelcoming.

Our stay was not enjoyable. The lift is archaic & needs to be replaced. The walls in our room were badly scuffed & need cleaning or repainting There was no shower screen so water went all over the bathroom floor & made it very slippery. We were given an attic style room & we continually hit our heads on the sloped ceiling. The reception staff was quite rude as when I telephoned to advise of our arrival time, she was laughing because I could not speak French. There were also other women in the background laughing. This is not a kind thing to do to paying guests.

Hotel L'Europe excellent

On arrival we where made welcome, enquiry re parking answered and directions given. The evening meal was very good, high quality and plentyful. The ambience was good and staff very pleasant and helpful.
