My wife and I have just had the very best holiday, staying for a week at the Pullman Hotel Marrakesh! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the biggest smiles from reception, our cases taken from us and a The de Menthe delivered to us whilst one of the front desk staff checked us in without us needing to be with her. We were whisked away to our gorgeous room by golf buggy , overlooking the Atlas Mountains. The room was quiet, immaculate and incredibly comfy. The daily room service was outstanding- so nice to come back to a spotless room every evening! We went all-inclusive, on the advice of my sister who’d stayed here before, and the choices of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic, were excellent. We especially loved the house rosé! And the Cubanos! The food was absolutely delicious- no matter what time we turned up for meals, there was so much choice, everything so fresh and beautifully prepared and every meal was different during our seven day stay. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they got to know our preferences for drinks very quickly! The grounds of the hotel are stunning and immaculate too! The main pool was our favourite and the subtle noise of families enjoying themselves was lovely to hear. The shuttle service, free and very frequent into Marrakesh, was amazing- it made visiting the Souks so easy! As for the Souks- do what guide books say and not what I did on the first time we visited them- panicked when we got lost! Getting lost is what the Souks are all about and makes visiting them all the more exciting! We had fun haggling too!!! As for the staff at The Pullman, every single one of them made our stay all the better! They were all so friendly, helpful and a true delight to talk to! Caroline made a huge effort to catch up with her guests daily, ensuring everything was ok and that there was nothing more she could do to help. Sana too- I could name hundreds more! ALL OUTSTANDING! We WILL definitely return one day to this outstanding hotel - it has been, after all, one of the very best holidays we’ve been on (except for our honeymoon, of course!!!)! Thank you from both of us for a MARVELLOUS MARVELLOUS HOLIDAY!!! xx
Great resort, awesome facilities for kids, and friendly staff. PS There is obviously always room for improvement. And also I was asked for my room number on the first day. And also on the second day. However, as a person of colour I do not simply assume this is because of the colour of my skin. Even if this seems to have become a trend nowadays.
We really enjoyed our stay, and the suite was beautiful. As always, the staff at the kids club were amazing and offered lots of fun activities for the children. They were warm, engaging and supportive. We were a little disappointed that, even though I had checked in online and paid if full for our stay ahead of time, we spent a lot of time going through the check in process. Although I had booked our suite to be made up for two adults and two children, we needed a few phone calls and to wait until 9pm before the children's bed was made up (it was still a sofa without sheets or blankets). Our Nespresso machine wasn't working as it had a severe leak, and we needed to take it to front desk before someone came to fix it. Other than that, the room, the pool and the staff were lovely. The buffet breakfasts were great.
We booked a suite in this hotel for 300 euros a night that was spacious. Enough for a family of 4 or 5. It was clean, modern and nothing to say about it. The restaurant food was very healthy, with veg every day and nuggets for lunch for the kids and pasta every evening for all taste. We have been here 1 week now so a bit bored of the food like everywhere. It would be nice if the ice cream were branded and taste better. It would also be nice to have some lollipop water ice cream for kids available all day. The kids don’t eat much of the all inclusive so ice cream free all day would be great as it only starts at 15:00. The water of the pool was heated so that’s amazing. The pool was very clean. We have been to Spain before and the water was not so clean in pools. They could do with buying more sunbeds. Maybe 20 extra sunbeds and definitely more umbrellas. It was very hot when we came there was a heatwave in April. Also some mattress by the pool are very worn out and should be replaced. It would just look better. And they could also have an umbrella on top of the baby pool. A good thanks to the pool staff as he works on is own and does everything, watch the pool, gives the towels out, sort the umbrella. You should really have someone that watches the pool all day and someone else responsible for towels and umbrella. Also you should have a soap dispenser in a shower by the pool , that would be very helpful. Other than that the towels are clean, the pool area very clean and the pool bar kitchen very clean too. Cleanliness is very important for us and we impressed. The ground are amazing with fresh veg gardens, an amazing kids club that we did not use much because of the heat. Also our son was under 4 so we had to pay for 1/2 day a few of 20 euros. But we were going to drop him 1 h in the morning and 1 h afternoon so it would have costed us 40 euros a day. Maybe for the 3/4 years old you could do a rate at the hour as kids are more grown up. And for the kids evening enertainment it would be nice to be earlier like at 19:30 at the bar and mini disco every night so the parents can also dance. But great hotel we will recommend it. Just for the service I did not put 5 star. As I believe it’s the culture. So I ended up helping myselve with fork, spoon, water as when I needed it as sometimes they forgot or never did it. Saying that last night there was no more couscous so I asked for some at 10:00 and one of the chef bought it especially for me in a tagine at my table so I was very happy. The management in the restaurant definitely need to manage staff better a cleaning tables and setting them up again. As this is often a let down. But great hotel and good food. We would come back
We spent a good time with all the staff of the hotel. Really thank you very much for what you did fir us. This is a pic fir our ( diner de gala ). Thank you to the GM Mr khalid. We hope to see you soooooon :) We Are One
We were celebrating my wife’s Birthday and this was stop #3 of 4. This was the only place I have stayed where I was treated like I was not a paying customer . I think of the old Burger King Commercial “Have it Your Way”. Except , their theme should be “Have it Our Way”. There were three situations that stand out : 1) We arrived an hour later than we anticipated to check in, so we were tired and hungry . We were told to relax while we were checked in. After about 20 mins, the worker said that we had the room only without our included breakfast. So, I had to dig out the confirmation and email it to her. We sat for awhile longer until she returned . She said she fixed the reservation to show that we prepaid for the breakfast buffet. However, our room would not be ready for 30 mins . My wife and I ate lunch and returned in an hour. The new worker on duty said our room would not be ready for another 30 mins and to have a seat in the lobby. I told her what happened before and she said” sorry , she has to wait to hear from housekeeping “ .At this point I demanded to speak to the manager. To his credit, he immediately put us in a room. I could not help but to notice that everybody else checking before and after us were given a room right away. 2)Buffet service : While we were waiting for the room, we went to eat lunch. I told the hostess the situation and I would charge it to my room, but my room number would be assigned shortly . I filled out the form with my full name and we ate. As I was leaving , she stopped me and said “ I need you to write the name that you checked in under”. I was confused, because that’s what I did. . I asked for clarification , and she said “ Oh, some people check in under a different name” ! I asked her if she had a problem finding me in the computer and she had not looked yet ! I could not believe her. Was she implying that I was tying to get a free meal? I was insulted because this place is heavily guarded and secluded . Who the hell would travel all that way to get a free lunch buffet ? I showed her my confirmation with my name and she confirmed that I just have breakfast paid for. 3)The next morning , I see her and give her my information and we ate breakfast . She come up to me while I was getting food and starts talking about I am not on the list for breakfast ! I was like, we discussed this last night! I had to tell her to call the front desk. She did and told me that they said it will show up when the system updates . Was she a fool? Why didn’t she check her system before running up to me . Again, This made me feel like they were expecting some type of problem. As before , I noticed nobody else being approached in that manner. As a point of reference , we were the only black couple there at the time. We read the reviews and they were mostly positive . It left me wondering why we were treated differently . We were never made to feel like we were welcomed. Including refusing to sell me a large bottle of water that they were giving to others with a wristband( another story of foolishness) Morocco was a wonderful trip . The people in the town were great . As a person of COLOR, I would steer clear of Pullman . That may in fact be their preference . Save yourself the frustration and find another place to stay if you want to be treated with respect .
I enjoyed my last couple of days at this place, what a nice and lovely resort with nice and exsperienced staff. The breakfast was fresh and big every morning, so was the dinner. Everybody always was nice.
The hotel needs complete refurbishment. I ended up staying in 3 rooms over only 1 weeks stay. Each of the rooms had major issues with beds, bathrooms, doors. The male staff were very rude and unhelpful. The few female staff who were there were the only ones who understood customer services. The food was average at best. Good point was that it was away from the centre and had space within the grounds. The spa was good, but very overpriced (context: London is cheaper).
We only stayed at the hotel for one night, but the lack of communication at the resort or customer service we encountered in our short stay was appalling to say the least. Our hotel room had roaches in it, smelled like sewage the entire time, had ants running through it and more. For dinner, we were given the suggestion of going to the asian restaurant on property. The menu had maybe 4 things on it. Sushi included one option written on the menu until we inquired about more options. If you do not want to make it or serve, then don't offer it. We ordered a bottle of wine which was on the menu, and they waiter was confused like he had never heard of it (there was maybe 20 bottles to pick from, so this wasnt an extensive list he had to memorize) and then he came back saying they do not have it. Once the sushi arrived, they proceeded to set down about 3 little things of soy sauce for a table of 10 people. We specifically ordered vegetarian sushi and explicitly said no fish or sashimi, and we got salmon and sashimi. We kept asking for soy sauce for each person at our table, and they kept bringing enough for one more person. After about the 10 request, we just gave up. Every time we requested it, there was only one waiter, but two "managers" and other random staff just standing around really unwilling to help out. Our seafood guests ordered the curry dish, which was written as having salmon, prawn and more. It only came with a few prawns, other seafood was to be found in the dish. In addition, after dinner we chose to stay and got cocktails and twice we placed orders where they were not fulfilled by staff. The juice stand didn't have half the things on the menu. I ordered three times the following morning before an order was available. Would not recommend staying here, plenty of better options in this beautiful city. Only pluses - the check in desk staff was quite kind and helpful, after that the rest of the day was disastrous. From the
This hotel seemed to be a very nice conference hotel but i wouldn't say it matched its 5 star rating. Although the facilities exist, many are poorly maintained. For example one of the pedalos was broken, the nets in the tennis areas etc were in need of repair, sun loungers weren't in great condition. The same can be said for the staff....some were fantastic, some were not. The majority during the day we came across spoke little to no english, which isn't an issue most of the time but if something is amiss or required it can be frustrating for both sides. As a party of all adults we spent most of the time at the adult pool, which meant having to walk to the family pool for alcoholic drinks. This in itself is not a problem, however being all inclusive meant we were given small glasses each time, for the men who were ordering beers and wanted to have a pint(ish) measure this meant ordering a couple at a time to save having to walk back down every 15mins. They would also get the other people in the party a drink at the same time, when the bar tenders would ask where we were sat- in order to bring the drinks over- and realised we were at the other pool they would immediately take back the offer of carrying them over. This would be fine had we been allowed to borrow a tray, alas this was also not an option so after some faff they would help bring them over. I have read in previous reviews that the all inclusive customers felt as though they were treated differently and we all felt this way from time to time. Another thing that we were not impressed by was one evening we went to the bar and a member of staff approached me and put a fez hat on my head and an apron on me and asked if i would like to make a cocktail. She instructed me on what to do etc, another member of staff took photos and all was well... until 5 minutes later when i was handed a receipt to sign for the cost of the cocktail... when i explained i had not been told it was for a fee and had i known i would not of taken part- we were all inclusive so no need to spend extra money on a drink i didn't even get to choose- the member of staff simply shrugged at me. I asked for the manager and he dealt with the issue professionally and politely but it was still felt a bit off, especially with the smirking and shrugging, not what i would expect from this level of hotel. The food was ample and varied, very nice tasting and the chefs were very friendly. the only issue would be at breakfast time, we had to ask for coffee multiple times nearly every morning until someone brought some over and then again for tea spoons and then again for the milk... I don't like to give anything but positive reviews however i feel for the price paid, the service and facilities were just not adequate compared to other hotels i have stayed in for a similar price. For a conference hotel, or just somewhere convenient to stay then this would be fine, but for an all inclusive, 5 star holiday it unfortunately falls short.
