Until recently, LA FORANA HOUSE was a small and typical farmhouse in our western part of the island of Elba, where all the inhabitants worked the land and especially the vineyard. Even today the small village of CHIESSI is surrounded by the ancient terraces on which the wine was cultivated. Today the old mule trackers, who used to carry the grapes from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the donkey, have become hiking trails. From CHIESSI you reach the highest peaks of the Monte Capanne massif (1018m).

LA LA FORANA HOUSE has been completely restored in 2015 with great taste and care for details and with just fine finishings. It is a small gem in the heart of CHIESSI, one of the most authentic seaside villages on Elba Island.

It is named after a large granite cliff in the area called LA FORANA.

The house is on two levels with a large living room with open kitchen of high standard: ILVE oven with 4 burners and fish in the center; large fridge column, hidden in a cute wardrobe, antique marble sink, antique tiles, and so on.

There is a double sofa bed in the living room. The living room connects with the first, beautiful and spacious bathroom with large shower with crystal walls and large waterfall as well as a basin sink made of an old olive trunk.

A comfortable staircase leads upstairs with a double bedroom, open to the rest of the house, and another beautiful bathroom with just a crystal shower cabin with shower head. From the room you access the large sun terrace of the first floor from which you enjoy the sea view. The terrace for its south exposure is especially suitable for sunbathing in the low season, protected by the north winds.

The whole house is very bright with finishing touches: oak floors (no ceramics!), antique wooden fixtures, air conditioning (with heating) in all environments.

Entspannte Frühlingstage in gemütlicher, penibel sauberer, stilvoll und durchdacht eingerichteter Wohnung. Es fehlte an nichts, alles funktionierte und war wie auf den Bildern. Sogar Strandtücher wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Marcello ist ein freundlicher und dezenter, doch stets verfügbarer Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung gab es ein Gläschen selbst produzierten Honig und einen hübschen Blumenstrauß auf dem Esstisch der Veranda.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt; gern jederzeit wieder

Das Haus ist exakt wie beschrieben, fast noch besser, der Ausblick und die Sonnenuntergänge über Korsika sind herrlich, der Vermieter ist sehr aufmerksam. Trotz zwei Regentagen haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen, da wir ein "richtiges Zuhause" hatten. Absolute Empfehlung.

Maison sympa et relaxante

Marcello est un homme très gentil et très fier de son île. La maison est très bien équipée, très confortable et très loin des propriétés copier-coller à la IKEA. Au contraire, le déco va avec le style nonchalant des environs. On s’est senti directement à l’aise. C’est un petit havre de paix en dehors l’anarchie estivale de l’île. À ne pas manquer les magnifiques couchers de soleil et également une vue sur la Corse !

Un’oasi di stile e di pace

Casa curatissima nei dettagli e molto accogliente. Perfetta per una romantica vacanza.Tranquillità, tramonti da godere in una piccola oasi di pace. Bellissimo il portico giardino e il terrazzino da cui ammirare tramonti e stelle. L’host molto gentile ci ha accolto con un pensiero del proprio orto e con una confettura fatta dalla signora. Speriamo una esperienza da ripetere.

Sehr stimmungsvolles und schönes HAus

Ein sehr schönes Haus, das liebevoll eingerichtet ist und eine schöne Terrasse hat. Das Haus liegt an der Ortsdurchgangsstraße (die Terrasse nicht direkt, da eine andere Terrasse davor ist) , es war aber bei unserem Aufenthalt im Juni nicht viel Verkehr. Das Örtchen Chiessi ist sehr beschaulich und ruhig, es gibt einen kleinen Strand. Einkäufe müssen im Nachbarort getätigt werden. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, il proprietario molto gentile, la casa comoda spaziosa e arredata con gusto, il patio comodissimo da cui guardare il tramonto cenando. La vicinissima spiaggietta bella on un mare incantevole. Veramente non potevamo chiedere di più!!!!!

Schönen Urlaub in La Forana im Vorfrühling

Zu zweit haben wir im Häuschen La Forana wunderbare Vorfrühlingstage erlebt. Die Gastgeber waren nett und freundlich. Übergabe und Abreise haben perfekt geklappt. Im Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Lage ist ideal für den Start von Wanderungen. Deswegen haben wir den noch milden Monat März für den Aufenthalt gewählt. Eine Wanderpfadmarkierung befindet sich direkt an der kleinen Strasse die am Haus vorbeiführt. Auf der kleinen Terrasse im 1.Stock konnte wir uns ungestört und besehen sonnen. In der Nacht habe ich dort mein Teleskop aufgebaut, womit ich vom Wind geschützt schöne Astrofotos machen konnte. Viele Dank!
