We stayed here as a package including airport parking ready for an early flight. The hotel is smart and clean but unfortunately that is all I can say which is positive. The staff are disinterested, rude and lacking any people skills. The noise in this hotel is SHOCKING!! Be prepared to sing along to the car radios of passing traffic. Teach yourself to identify the make and model of every passing vehicle by its exhaust note and tyre roar. Amaze yourself that you can hear your neighbours bodily functions and nocturnal habits. Test yourself to see how long you can go without sleep! All in all we payed for two hours of poor quality napping in a hotel staffed by rude obnoxious people looking forward to home time. Given the choice I would have rather stayed in Joseph Fritzels basement than stay here again. Avoid, avoid, AVOID!
Nice hotel very friendly staff, rooms cleaned everyday while we was there .near to train station & pubs ( the station pub& bricklayers pub both £2 pint) . Will be staying there again .old Trafford only £18 from hotel in taxi
We booked room only as part of a trip to nearby Legoland Discovery having been to Tatton park on the way up. The welcome was friendly and the room was a good size with decent facilities although only 2 cups for the 4 of us was a bit odd. After a hot day the fan struggled a bit to cool the room down but we managed to get a decent night of sleep although the brief appearance of the fire alarm at just after 6am didn't help although it was swiftly dealt with. I can't really say too much about the food and drink facilities as we didn't use them although the menu looked nice enough.
Very pleased with this hotel we only booked for 1 night me and my husband but we where instantly upgraded with our room which may I say was stunning. Everything was in the room even dressing gown and slippers costa coffee machine, bottled water, tea coffee all the usual condiments.
Always a good place to stay for visits to Manchester & Cheshire. The hotel has been a fixture here for years. It has clean rooms, good brekkie and warm & welcoming staff - especially Mel on the bar, who has a fab sense of humour and is a star :)
Second time we have stayed here and again the hotel was a good place to stay. Professional staff, good sized room with comfy bed and clean bathroom with good shower and toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities. My only negative comment was that the room was very hot and only one window could be opened.
stayed here overnight before travelling from Manchester airport, The room was very clean and basic, staff very helpful, We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was okay but not really to my taste. The view from our room window was of roof tops so not very inspiring. As part of the deal we were given free transport to the airport and free parking for a week. We were given a card with a number to call on our arrival and was picked up very quick by a local taxi to take us to pick up our car. Very reasonable priced hotel
After arriving at airport with 2 young children to be told flight had been changed to 24hrs later we rang up and the staff told us to go back gave us breakfast and even argued our point with travel agent who wanted to move us to another hotel across town but leave our cars there They were absolutely brilliant can't say thank you enough for what you did for us Hotel was spotless and only 15 mins from airport
I found the internet listing for this hotel by accident (it is also called the Cresta Court on some websites), and ended up getting a great deal for one night's stay plus a week of parking at the long stay car park at Manchester Airport. The hotel is fine. The public areas look to have been upgraded recently. My room was ok, but the bathroom was getting close to needing an upgrade. The restaurant was quiet; the food was fine and not too expensive. The staff were friendly, the receptionist was very helpful. Driving to the airport took 15 mins, but use your gps and not the hotel's directions!
Stayed for 2 days last week. Best things: recent refurbished bar and restaurant are a big improvement. Staff on reception and in restaurant are VG. Food was VG, breakfast is a buffet but still VG. Rooms are nice if not brilliant and I had a good sleep both nights even though my room was at the front of the hotel. Short walk to bars in Altrincham. Free parking. Not so good: shower could be better. We will be back. Cotton's loss is Cresta's gain.
