We've just returned from a week in Viva Blue. It has been the best holiday in a while for our family. Big kudos to Juan, GiGi + the entertainment crew, especially Theis and Carlos. Muchas gracias!! ☀️😊🍻
As our first family holiday with a 6 month old child the Viva Blue hotel was a fantastic choice. Overall the hotel caters very well for children, with cots and baby bath tubs available on request. The service was fantastic and everyone went out of their way to make us feel settled. A special thank you to Gloria, whom our son took a shine too and every day she would come and say hello. The food is nice and there was sufficient choice for us. The indoor pool and spa, despite being small, was a welcome addition when the weather was overcast on a couple of days. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the beach. I would definitely return.
The resort itself was wonderful - friendly customer service, clean, very good food, nice gym, beautiful pools and a relaxing spa area. I was traveling solo and part of what attracted me to the hotel was the sports bar, but I was a little disappointed with the atmosphere. The hotel seems amazing for families, but if you are traveling without children, make sure you like being around kids. The main downside for me was the lack of good restaurants (based on my experience and reading other reviews) in the area, but luckily the hotel had a good variety of options. All-inclusive is maybe the better way to go.
Booked this hotel early on the basis of the reviews and was not disappointed. Even before arriving the communication with the staff was faultless and allowed us to amend our rooms reservation to suit. The hotel is really geared for families with lots of activities and entertainment laid on.We as a couple opted to spend the afternoons in the adult only pool area which was a little quieter. We also opted for the all inclusive option and whilst the breakfast and dinner options were slightly limited the lunches served around the pool bar were excellent. We also took time to travel into Palma for the day which was well worth taking the time to do. An excellent hotel.
We stayed here at the end of August and it was great. Despite arriving at nearly one in the morning Jaume was very helpful at reception and pointed out where to go on the map. On arrival we were given cold drinks of water and fruit juice which was great as there was nowhere else to get them from at this time of night. Our room was spacious and very clean and beds were out(two were pull out from the sofa) ready to sleep in. We were self catering but decided to try the breakfast on the first morning and it was fantastic (so good we went again). It was a buffet, but hot food was always hot whenever you arrived. We also tried dinner on our last night which was just as good as breakfast. We made friends here who were all inclusive and they said there was always something new on offer every night. We also noticed this during our breakfast. The pool area was fantastic and clean we never struggled to get a sunbed, even if we arrived mid afternoon. There were a range of activities in the pool all day such as water polo, family races and an inflatable course race which is set up for children in the lane pool in the summer months. There are life jackets provided for those who need them and it's open from 10-12:30 for children under 120cm and 12:45-6 for children over 120cm. There are pools for people of all ages. An adults only pool, a small shallow pool under an umbrella for babies, a slide pool for children, a deep pool, a pool deep enough to stand in and play water polo which slopes up to being very shallow, a length pool which has 2 lanes and an inflatable in summer and a spar which children are allowed in from 9 till 2. There is a pool bar in the middle of all of these pools which serves great food for lunch. The entertainers were great and played very well with all the children. The evening entertainment was great for all ages the acrobats show was probably our favourite. Although we don't have toddlers, we would recommend a room with a garden for them as we had that room and thought the children would have loved it if they were that age. The room was spotless and the shower was powerful. In the garden room we had two sunbeds and a hammock. If you are staying self catering I would recommend the Dakota (tex mex) near the hotel, there are also a few in alcudia if you head down there and restaurant gran China in alcudia as you get beautiful views of the port. The only down side to this hotel was the pool closes at six (they have a bit of lea way as we have seen people swimming in there at 7) but overall that wasn't too much of a problem as that's when we usually get ready for our evening meal, but we do enjoy an evening swim sometimes. Also, if you read the brochures it says no inflatables in the pool, however, they sell inflatables in their shop and loads of people have them so it's nothing to worry about. Overall a great stay and would definitely return again! Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic! Service at the hotel staff was great. No fault at all. Special thanks to Gloria, Daniela, Kiko and Victor! Other impressions: - food and drinks: excellent! - room: clean and cozy. - pools: super! - childrens and adult entertainment: poor! - it should be improved! - beach: excellent!
This hotel is a fantastic family hotel and we had a great time here. The food is the best we have had at an all inclusive, having the two restaurants at lunchtime to select from is great, especially being waiter service. The staff are so helpful and friendly , nothing is to much trouble for them . The selection of cocktails is fab and the various coffee was lovely . Plenty of things to do for my 9 year old son . Great location for the beach. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a great hotel. The staff were really helpful and showed a real desire to make a difference to our holiday. We got a deal and upgraded to a Royal Terrace room (with roof terrace and spa pool). The room was great and we used the terrace and spa a lot. We were on the All-inclusive deal and I would recommend it highly. For the price this is a really good deal. The food is very good and of a high quality. The best all-inclusive we have had. The drinks were good too. The staff are super friendly. We loved our main waiters Victor and Gigi. They were super friendly and laughed and joked with us. The facilities were very good. Pools were great for families and the training pool good for doing lengths. The bike storage facility and bike shop/workshop were very good too. We visited as a family and would thoroughly recommend Viva Blue.
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It was perfect for us - we have 4 and 6 year old boys and they had an amazing week. The food and drinks were lovely, the entertainment was fun and the staff were friendly. There was so much for the kids to do and they especially loved the huge inflatable assault course. We upgraded to a room with a garden and hot tub. The hot tub was lovely and we used it every day but mosquitos were a problem in the garden. Avoid the bushes and grassy areas as there were loads when we went. It's very close to the beach which was great as we could walk over but not have to take loads of stuff with us. There is a small shop onsite which is handy and they sell little pocket money price toys which were a hit with the kids. We will definitely be back next year. Our boys are so excited already!
From the minute we arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised. This was our first stay here with your 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter. The room we requested had piping issues/no water, so for the first night they put us up in another kind of apartment. As compensation for having to move after one night, they offered the four of us free breakfast throughout our 10 day stay. Very thoughtful and professional. As for ALL the staff at the reception during our stay (Lucy, Sofia, Ilona, Jimmy, Tomateus? Mateus), they were very friendly, professional ,helpful, understanding and resolved any issues we might have had as well as being able to answer all questions we had. Some of the also went out of their way to help and others had a great humour which was nice. So to the whole reception team a BIG THANK you for everything. You are definitely an assett. Keep up the smiles, patience and good work. The same goes for all the crew at the restaurants, whether it be the breakfast room or the other lunch/snack bar. All staff very friendly and smiley. Hourya who was assigned to clean our room during our stay was always smiley and did an excellent job with keeping the room not only clean but also tidy (which can be a bit hard with loads of kids shoes and toys lying around the apartment). All of the Entertainment/Animation team, Carlos and Emily I remember their names. Unfortunately not the rest of the crew but you ALL did an excellent job and our kids loved what you did, not only at the mini disco every night but also at the mini club during the day. The sports olympics, crafts and arts, T-shirt painting etc. You were all so patient and it seemed genuienly caring. 10 out of 10 for that. Our room was practical, clean and we liked the view out to the terrapin. Nice and quiet instead of out toward the pool side with the animation program going on until later. The location of the Hotel is excellent. We had lunch just outside on the main road pretty much every day. The hotel is close to all shops, SPAR, shopping boutiqes, car rental etc. It was close enough to the beach even though the walk was about 10 mintues (with kids anyway, all a bit slower but if you walk as adult, it's only about 5 minutes). I had a massage at the hotel and was very very happy with it. I forget the ladies name , sorry. We appreciated the free washing facilities which despite the hotel being full, it was never an issue for us to do get a washing slot. All the pools were great, and the childrens playground plus bouncy castle excellent. The kids (and us) loved the pop corn machine which was available every night at the mini disco, we loved all the staff being super friendly, helpful and patient. IT'S THE CREW THAT MAKES OR BREAKS a stay. We loved the breakfast buffett (did not eat dinner at the hotel), lots of choice, all food fresh all the time, freshly squeezed juices and a MASSIVE THANK YOU to JUSTIN who fried our eggs or omelette every morning. Justin was smiling, chatting and a great cook, even though it must have been so hot behind the stove sometimes!! Another asset to the hotel. The amentities shop was excellent also. The ONLY thing we did not like: MOSQUITOS :) we DID bring some anti mosquito stuff though so after a couple of nights, that was sorted out also. We loved our stay with the hotel so much, that I wanted to rebook again for the autumn holidays........but you EVERYBODY must love it so much cause you are already all booked out!¨Speaks for all the staff and management!! Keep it, great to see a hotel being so successfull and keep the great staff!! See you next time.
