As a SPG platinum, I wanted to try this famous St Regis for a long time. I was planing to stay a week but stayed only 1 night... - Location**** : St.Regis is situated at 30 min from airport on a small bay with beautiful « calas »; pretty closed to mass public area with a small town behind but still private enough Most of the rooms face blue Mediterranean Sea. The hotel is situated over a well managed garden with huge pools (including a big one dedicated for kids) The hotel is perfectly accessible for handicapped people and baby troller (I met many babies during my short stay) The hotel is perfect for business congress and people who don't care about fine luxury but enjoy the spot They must offer big package deals in Germany by the way when you listen to the langage spoke by most of the customers - Beach*** the access is easy (but hard to swim as you need to cross the rocks).Take plastic shoes - Rooms** : the seaview is great from some rooms if you asked for the last level in main building (the rest are jails or dark caves...with some access to garden) The main issue of the hotel is RENOVATION : the hotel rooms (I got a « renovated one ») have the confort of 1978 Even the beds, cosmetics and towels come directly from a generation ago. This is very humiliating at this price ! - Frontdesk* : they upgraded me to a « renovated junior suite » after 2 hours waiting at the bar from 18pm. It was very far from international standard of what it shall looks like Rooms over the terrasse are terribly noisy. A party in the buildings on the right kept me awake until 3am as noise spread fast in the little bay :( I requested an extension of stay until the end of my week but it took the manager 1h to tell me there was a congress in the middle. They bought me a drink for the wait... - Breakfast* : the terrasse is really beautiful to have breakfast in the garden Then come the food...I ve seen a lot of breakfasts in my life of Platinum but during this one, I made a secret prayer to survive the horrible bacon or the micro-diced outdated pineapple. Yeak ! Service was basic and mechanic (like often at Starwood) Breakfast is included in the absurd price of the room so...they are very happy to remind you as often as possible that "here breakfast is offer as you are Platinum". Thanks... - Concierge* : was agressive : I asked him to call me a taxi : he said that "normally he was not supposed to do it but it was ok for this time" Interesting concept for a concierge in a resort lost out of town Conclusion : I won't go back to this St Regis before a radical renovation of the rooms and upgrade of the professionalism of the staff and food However they seem to only want big parties, huge families meetings and business congress. Platinum couple guests are treated as second class guests
Ultra 5 star everything! Everything is of the highest quality. The rooms, the service, the pool, gym, spa, everything. Not cheap, but for those who enjoy the finer things in life, would definitely check this place out. Also, the spa pool area is open to all guests. Great spot away from the main pool. No beverage or food service at the spa pool, but very quiet, relaxing and beautiful. We loved checking out the various spa rooms in the indoor pool area. Sauna, cold room, steam room, etc. Service was unlike anything I've experienced. Definitely worth a stay while in Mallorca.
Treated my wife to this hotel for her 40th Birthday for 5 nights last August. We stayed in a big suite for around €2200/night. Was expecting a really great hotel and room however found the quality of service and standard of rooms far below St Regis standard. The room fittings, furniture and colours were terrible, did not have the luxurious look and feel that a St Regis should have. The bathroom fittings and colours were awful, really tasteless. Clearly the interior designer had no clue on what guests really want. The only nice thing about the room was the great view. The pool area and grounds were very nice, however not enough to change our impression about the hotel. Breakfast buffet is served "factory" style. All the nice fruit had always run out and the buffet was always messy and unappetising. So for us the breakfast was also below St Regis standard. This hotel is really spread out, so it was a long walk to reception from our room. Most of the time when we called reception, there was no answer at all, when we complained we were told rudely (multiple times) that they were "too busy" to answer the phone. Are you kidding, a 5 star hotel......... In general the hotel was completely under-staffed, which for August at a high-end resort in Europe is inexcusable. The idea was to try the St Regis out and if we liked it we would visit this summer with our family and friends, however after this experience we decided to reserve 7 rooms for 12 days at the brand new Park Hyatt Mallorca. I am a Starwood Platinum Honorary Life Member and have been a Starwood member for around 25 years. While this is certainly not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, it is barely average for a luxury hotel and certainly not value for money. If this was a Sheraton I would understand but not a St Regis.....We will not be staying here again.
Five beautiful days @ Saint Regis Mardavall !!! Had wonderful time, the stuff are awesome (thank you Patricia) .. the pool 🏊 is great, spent days in it .. the location is very nice, whole and whole had a splendid time and would come back again for sure 😍
We stayed at the Mardavall for a long weekend and had a fabulous stay. The hotel is in excellent condition and oozes class. The team at the hotel provide friendly and professional service. The pool area is simply as good as it gets. If you want a luxurious, restful break in the perfect setting then look no further.
Exceeded our expectations, very nice, fresh hotel, with great common areas and large, excellent, recently refurbished rooms. Big pool area with several pools, also for kids. Broad breakfast selection and above all, great service throughout the stay - highly recommended!
The hotel has good location and all amenities of a 5-star house. The rooms are huge and well equipped. The territory is well-kept and looks fantastic. So why I give 4 star to this hotel? For me, it lacks right focus. It’s not a beach hotel although it’s located next to the sea (no private beach), and it’s not a golf hotel (you have to drive to Arabella golf courses about 15 minutes). So this hotel is just for a short relaxation over weekend in my point of view. It plays in the premier league considering a very high level of rates for the island (starting from 600 Euro per night for basic room in the low season) and one expects the same level of service and attention to details you have in the best hotel chains of the world. But it’s not always the case here. Here are the major areas of improvement: 1. Service is not consistent. Sometimes it’s great, but sometimes you have to deal with trainee who doesn’t honor your SPG status or not pro-active with assistance. 2. Food is very basic to say at list. For that level you expect a la carte breakfast, and not 4-star-buffet-style. 3. Rates are really high and don’t reflect the value one receives when staying in the hotel. 4. Although I’m fluent in German, it looks a bit akward when staff speaks to you in German and not in English in the resort of international level. 5. No attention to details. 6. Staff seems to be not interested in your feedback/opinion on the stay. These things differentiate a good hotel from a great one. But if you have to compete with Jumeirah or Park Hyatt (at least by the price) recently opened on Mallorca you have to go an extra mile and be great.
The bedrooms are super cosy and the food here is amazing. The only downside is waking up to screaming children at 7am every morning. The staff are super helpful and this time they accepted my dog which I'm very happy about.
There is nothing to criticise in this hotel. perfectly clean, extremely polite staff, nicely kept gardens, good spa area. The food is also great both at the pool and at the big restaurant as well. Their mohitos are to die for in the bar
The St Regis Mardavall is an outstanding property. From the moment my associate and I arrived the staff was always there with a smile. I have never seen a entire staff go out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for my business stay of 7 nights. From house keeping to the wait staff and managers I just want to commend you. The restaurant has an excellent selection and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. I understand from my associate that the Sunday brunch was very nice as well. I will defiantly recommend the St Regis to anyone that is going to Palma.
