Visited this hotel in August for a second year and were not disappointed. Rooms Stayed in a swim up room with two children aged 5 and 2. The room was spacious, decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. The cava on arrival and fresh fruit on the last day is a lovely touch. The mini bar is also restocked daily. The swim up pool is fantastic when travelling with children. Food and drink Huge selection at all meal times and the best food I've ever had at an all inclusive hotel. My 5 year old is a particularly fussy eater but loved the food here! All inclusive is well worth it and would highly recommend it. Branded drinks on offer throughout the day and night as well as cocktails and my personal favourite sangria! There is also ice cream and ice lollies. Staff The thing that really makes this hotel stand out is the staff and their excellent customer service. They honestly can't do enough for you. The manager Chej was always around and would make time to speak to us and the children to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The reception staff are very professional and no request is too much trouble. There is table service in the evening and during the day at the pool bar. The waiters always had a smile on their face and again made extra effort with the children which is always appreciated. Paco and Miguel in particular looked after us throughout our stay. We have already booked for next year and if your thinking about it just book it. You won't regret it!

Absolutely amazing. All staff fantastic. Rooms and hotel and pool beautifully maintained. All inclusive fridge stocked in rooms is a great touch. Favourite bar man though all great. Was juame. Looked after like royalty all week. Defo 20/10 from us

This was our 2nd visit to Sa Coma Playa and we were not disappointed. As soon as we stepped off this bus we felt that we'd arrived at our home from home. We literally picked up where we left off and it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces. The staff are outstanding and make a massive effort to make you feel at home. Always polite and friendly and nothing is too much bother. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable and the air conditioning makes for a nice cool environment even in a heat wave. The entertainment team are so full of energy and create a fantastic atmosphere poolside and in the evening. All staff are particularly good with the little ones and it really did add the magic touch to our holiday. The poolside bar staff in particular deserve a special mention. The dining hall is run incredibly well and the waiting staff are friendly and efficient. The kitchen had seen a revamp since we were there last which was nice and had a better flow. The food was good and offered plenty of variety although I would have preferred a greater choice for my wife who is a vegetarian. Some vegetarian dishes could be labelled better. Also some of these dishes, despite being labelled vegetarian, were not and contained pieces of ham or parmesan (which is not veggie). However the vegetable lasagne was a massive hit and the choice of fresh salads, wonderful soups and a freshly made stir fry were very good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone - we've been twice and I can honestly say that they have created two memorable holidays for us. To the staff at Protur Sa Coma Playa - thank you once again.

Had a fantastic week again. Booked a suite for the first time (bearing in mind we have visited this hotel too many times to count) and it was amazing. The additional space was great and the walk in wardrobe/dressing area made it so easy to keep the room looking tidy. The double balcony had a great view down to the sea and was a perfect sun trap every afternoon. The food was varied (we were AI) always a good choice and quality. The wine fab too!! Finally the staff, they are the most welcoming people in every area. The restaurant, bar, reception and cleaning staff are always happy, helpful and want to go the extra mile. Management at this hotel lead from the top, either Juan or Chej are always on hand to assist you should you need them but as they have such a wonderful team behind them we doubt you will, however they are always there to make you feel so special. We will be back again next year and can't wait. If you feel like treating yourself book a suite they are lovely but in fairness the normal double room has never failed to impress us.

Just returned on Thursday from 11 great nights, all-inclusive, in a swim up room with my wife and 7 month old daughter. This review is longer than I intended but I want to do this great resort justice! In our opinion there are more beautiful places in Majorca than Sa Coma, but don't let that put you off if a great family friendly resort with lots to do and a great beach are your priorities. As a large resort this is as good as anything we have experienced, and hotel brands we have been loyal to in the past have a lot of catching up to do in terms of facilities, cleanliness, and above all great service. We think every 0.5 difference in tripadvisor rating does make a difference and this hotel definitely deserves the 4.5 overall rating it currently has! Our room was great, just as it was shown in the pictures - very clean with a great shower, minibar was good (re-stocked every day), and we had a bottle of cava delivered to us twice during our stay which was very nice. The swim-up was brilliant, probably the highlight of our holiday and we used it every day. It is important to remember that this is a large resort and many of the facilities are shared with other Protur hotels on site (e.g. mini golf, tennis, spa) but they make no secret of this and it shouldn't put anyone off. The hotel itself is relatively small and quiet compared to others in the resort, particularly the Safari Park, and we liked this. I have to say though we did prefer the evening entertainment at the Safari Park hotel, mainly because this was outside. Although our drinks were not all inclusive at the other hotels, we normally preferred to head across there after dinner anyway. We did go to the entertainment in our own hotel a few nights too and it was also good, it was just our preference to be outside. Before coming we were torn between the Protur Biomar (5 star) or Protur Sa Coma Playa hotel (4 star) in the resort - in the end we went for the Sa Coma Playa as we could get a swim-up room in our budget and we felt assured it was good by the 4.5 rating on here. We walked round the Biomar when we were there and it also looked very nice, quite exclusive, however we did feel that the Sa Coma Playa had a more family feel. We will be equally torn between these two hotels when we return! The buffet was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner - lots of choice & we were never bored over 12 days. As a hotel buffet it was ideal and we enjoyed our meals. We dined at the Country Grill once, which is one of the themed restaurants around the resort. I understand that you can dine at one of these four restaurants for each full week you stay, and are encouraged to make your selection as early as possible upon arrival. In all honesty we preferred our main buffet to the Country Grill, which was really just a BBQ style buffet. To be fair they don't claim this restaurants is a la carte, but I was surprised that we had to go and pour our own beers! We will probably give these restaurants a miss next time. We didn't visit Bou restaurant, the Michelin Star restaurant on site as we didn't feel this would have worked with a 7 month old so cannot comment on this but maybe next time :) The staff at Sa Coma Playa were amazing, and the only time we have experienced a similar level of service was at a 5* exclusive resort in Cancun. We are cynical of hotels where reviews consistently praise staff by name. This is after a holiday in the Dominican Republic where staff were clearly somehow abusing the review system to give themselves credit. However this is definitely not the case at this hotel and the credit given on here is hard earned! Reception staff were informative and helpful, restaurant staff, and the guys who welcome you to the restaurant, were very nice, even when our 7 month old was making such a mess every time! Bar staff were unbelievably friendly, and spent lots of time smiling and talking to our baby daughter. We never used the adult pool but had a walk round and this was very nice and quite tranquil. Although our review focuses on the family aspects of the hotel I'd say we would also have had a very enjoyable stay if we had travelled just as a couple. We both used our free passes for the Biomar Spa and enjoyed this. My wife also had a massage one morning and enjoyed this very much too. The main pool was very good, clean, with plenty of sunbeds. We only used this a few times as we had the swim up room but when we did we were able to find beds with shade available no problem. The pool is well laid out with shallow areas for kids and a walk-in area. The bar area beside the main pool is very nice and it was here that we experienced the best service from the bar staff. We didn't use the waterpark, as we had enough swimming at our swim-up and the beach, but this looked good and we will undoubtedly use this in future when our daughter is old enough to use the slides. The golf driving range, tennis courts and small motor boats also looked good and are activities that we will look forward to when our girl is older. The mini golf at the resort was brilliant and different from anything I have experienced before. However this is definitely not buggy friendly, particularly the second / harder course! I would recommend using a sling or carrier if using this with an infant. Sa Coma beach is very nice with very clean water, you sometimes had to avoid parts where seaweed had come in with the tide but the beach was so big it was easy to find a space where it was crystal clear. There is a nice promenade and we loved walks along there, although you need to watch out for the children on the hire bikes and quads! The streets from the resort to the promenade are lined with shops, which were actually quite nice. We had a few cocktails at the bars along the beachfront. Near the beginning of the stay my wife needed to visit the doctor - this was expensive at 110 euros but it is good to know that there is a doctor available in the resort for a few hours per day. She was then able to collect her prescription from the pharmacy located between the hotel and the beach. We also walked to Cala Millor once on a cloudy morning. We stuck to the main roads as we had a buggy, as opposed to the (apparently) more scenic walk past the castle, but this was still enjoyable and not nearly as far as I expected and we had a very nice walk (and a few drinks!) along the promenade in Cala Millor. If I was to suggest minor improvements to the resort I would say we found resort information to be slightly thin on the ground. We were issued with a sheet of paper with the resort map on one side and full of information on the other side when we checked in but that was all. As such we found ourselves having to ask lots of questions at reception, such as gym opening times, where to get our swim-up pool towels changed, local facilities outwith the hotel, directions/distance to the beach / Cala Millor etc. This is the first hotel we have stayed where there hasn't been a folder in the room full of this type of information. I would also have liked to have some music around main pool, particularly as there is also an adults only quiet pool. We also found the timing of dinner to be a bit late with a baby (restaurant opens at 7) and would have preferred to be able to go at 6pm or even 6.30pm. We had requested a late check-out when we booked our room with the hotel (this is offered on the swim-up rooms on request, subject to availability). As the hotel appeared to be relatively full I didn't have high hopes of getting this, so we were absolutely delighted when we were told we could have our room until 6pm and this made a huge difference to our last day with an 8pm flight. We put our trip together ourselves, booking directly with the hotel, and I'd highly recommend Suntransfers for airport transfers. We have been lucky to have travelled quite extensively over the last 5 years and my wife doesn't like returning to the same place twice, but we are already planning on returning here which is the best compliment I can give the resort!

Stayed for 7 nights all inclusive after a Med cruise with Thomsons , Can i start with a big thankyou to all the lovely people we met and also the staff we came into contact with ( Juame ) ? Didn't see any of them shirk in their duties, The hotel is lovely in every way the rooms , the shower , the free restocked mini bar ( all inclusive only ) the air con on all the time so you can go back to a chilled room after sunbathing by the pool, Various pools, one quiet pool in a secluded spot , Main pool is great and safe. Lifeguard is brilliant i watched as he took a lady by the hand and helped her into the pool. by walking into the water with her and provided a float as she had some difficulty in walking , kids pool is shallow and good for toddlers , Main pool has a gentle slop with a handrail into the water , very well thought out , Restuarant is lovely, as well as the rest of the hotel it is modern with plenty of space. Meals are very good but as usual you won't please everyone , carvery , grill , pasta, pizza freshly made,, stews , fish , something for most people and spotless , all soft drinks are served by the bottle another good touch, or draught beer and wine by the glass , Estrelle or San Miguel beer , you can get strongbow 1 euro 50 for a bottle , Sweets are lovely and a good selection , soup is nice and warm, as is all meals . Entertainment was good for an all inclusive, as most hotels don't want you staying in and drinking , Kids could be better entertained, toddlers are fine ( Animation team is just 2 people ) but nothing for older kids at night, they had a discussion about giving a 2 year old a small medal as they shouldn't be in kids club till 4 years old, but it should'nt have been said infront of the whole audience, family of the wee girl not happy about that. Branded drinks included or small charge for non all inclusive around 2 euros 50 . Snack bar at lunch time was very good as the food looked superb , 60% of the guests are German but everyone is very nice no pushing or shoving also nicely dressed in the evening just smart casual , First time here. and if this is the standard of Protur hotels i will visit again and again , All in all very pleased with hotel also looks very well catered for wheelchair guests , Resort not much in it close enough for beach with a few good pubs if you don't like the evening entertainment , Free wifi was also good Not so good Booked for 1 A -LA-CARTE but got something like a china buffet king horrible ,

Just returned from this hotel, stayed with family including grandchildren. The hotel is very clean. The bedrooms are lovely, good TV choice, air conditioning was excellent, the bathrooms were modern with good shower although I found the shower tray very slippy and quite dangerous for older guests, beds not very comfortable. Although people rave about the food, my husband and myself were not over keen, if you like pork then you will be very happy as this was the main meat dish and it was pork, pork and more pork again every night without fail!!, can't say I enjoyed one meal the whole time we were there, great choices for kids, pizza, chips etc, ice cream was nice, sweets looked nice but not great, we have had a lot better, disappointed no porridge at breakfast, also no small plates which was annoying, had soup one night and it reminded me of hospital soup. Mostly the food was done on the cheap, vol u vants with lettuce and prawn cocktail sauce, with literally 1 prawn in them, ugh!! The chef in the morning needs to learn how to cook eggs, they were either not cooked enough, or rubbery and over cooked, he was not happy when I asked him to make me a fresh one every morning, his face said it all! also there are no poached eggs, they do not do them , the bacon was very good though. The wine was good and reasonably priced. You can eat outdoors if you get a table but we never bothered as no views. The restaurant is a little canteen like, very busy. The pool area was good, did not have to rush for sunbeds as always plenty available. Entertainment was pretty poor as was pool entertainment. Plenty for young children as able to use sister hotel facilities, looked around the Safari Park and so glad we were not staying there it was so crowded. Location of hotel was just okay, 10 minutes to beach, went to Porto Cristo beach on the bus which is much nicer than Sa Coma beach. Some of the staff were lovely, particularly in the snack bar and serving evening drinks, the manager was also pleasant. Take note when you arrive at the hotel , you pay 15 Euro deposit for beach towel, MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE RECEIPT AS WHEN YOU RETURN THEM THEY DEMAND THIS FROM YOU!! reception staff not very friendly and insist on the receipt, room safe was 2 euro a night. I would not return to this hotel as prefer somewhere with better quality food, also not that keen on the resort as prefer more rural and typical Mallorcan areas.

My in-laws had stayed at the hotel before and took us with them this time as it is such a great hotel. Good sized rooms and lovely pool. Big dining room with excellent choice of food. Had to do the typical hotel thing of towels on sunbeds, but that's no big deal. The water park a short walk away is an excellent day out for all the family, great value. Beach not far and lots of shops. The only thing that could have been better were the sofa beds in our rooms, which were small and the kids (ages 8 and 10 years) said they were uncomfortable. The sofa beds would probably be ok for toddlers. We would stay at the hotel again, but would look into upgrading for the kids to have bigger beds.

My son has developed hand foot and mouth on return from this Hotel and after looking into this it appears my son is not the only child to have contracted this. Although we have stayed at this Hotel before and have never had an issue. We would be reluctant to return here and am amazed that the Hotel or Travel Companies are not informing guests of this outbreak

Excellent hotel - smaller than our usual choice but part of the Protur Sa Coma resort which means you can use the facilities of other hotels such as The Safari and La Reserva Water Park ( la Reserva water park is an additional cost) The food at the hotel was simply stunning - excellent quality and choice at every sitting - the wine was very pleasant as was the beer. All the staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and approachable- a credit to the Protur group - I must however mention Mr Chej Ramdan the Guest Service Manager we met him whilst checking in and he ensured that my granddaughters 6th birthday went wonderfully with table decorations and birthday cakes Yes two - one at breakfast and one at the evening meal and then as well treated us all to a complimentary visit to La Reserva Water Park - she was so happy and it was all thanks to him - it made our holiday a very special one - the rooms were modern and spacious with free mini fridge and immaculately kept - in fact all areas of the hotel were immaculate. All in all I can t fault this hotel and have intentions of returning in the future and have reservations in recommending it
