Nice hotel, lovely spa, nice breakfast, nice (small) pool area. Would imagine the pool gets very busy in the summer! Good bar service by the pool etc Was worried with it being so close to the airport but no problem at all.
My boyfriend and I visited this little island for the first time, and we really enjoyed our stay at JS Palma Stay. Basic room, small tv, room was clean, we spent most of the time out but when we came back at night the hotel had performances, one night there was pianist another night there was a singer. We really enjoyed the singer. As for the location, it was a short walk to rent a bike (you can also rent from the hotel but it was a little cheaper to rent from a shop). Lots of shops and restaurants. 30 minute bike ride to Palma city.
We spent the October half term break here and really enjoyed the week, especially as it was child free and very quiet during the day. The hotel is in a great location with a very short transfer time and so close to the beach. Our room was very clean, large enough for a couple and suitably well equipped and we especially enjoyed having the large terrace with our own sun beds. We did miss having a double bed but the twin beds were at least comfortable. I think possibly the main problem with the accommodation was in the bathroom where the shower entrance was so very narrow that whilst it was absolutely fine for us, someone who was well built would find it difficult to actually get in the shower. I would also have liked body lotion and hair conditioner but it was not a problem as I always travel with these. In the restaurant, there was an amazing range of delicious food for both breakfast and dinner and everything was always quickly replenished. Here, the main problem was that nothing was really hot and luke warm cooked breakfast is somewhat unappetising. However, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food from the cooking stations was hot. Wine by the glass and beer were both a reasonable price. Then other issue which we experienced here, as in many other hotels, was the noise generated late at night by other (more selfish)guests who may perhaps have drunk rather too much and were returning to their rooms, although we fully realise this is a problem the hotel can do very little about. In summary, we had a great week at a very good hotel. With just a few smallish changes this could easily be even better but don’t let that put you off as this is definitely a great place to chill out and enjoy the sunshine.
Very enjoyable 5 day stay on October 2017, just me and my husband. The rooms aren't huge but are comfortable and the whole place is exceptionally clean from the frontage to the rooms. The staff throughout the hotel are polite and courteous and super efficient. Two pools, a nice bar area and plenty of sunbeds ( I'm not sure about this in the summer). The hotel is in a fairly residential area so not too many tourists but so close to the beach and the facilities and restaurants. I would highly recommend the JS Stay.I did feel that the food became a little samey after a few days but the quality was good
The best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have propose to my girlfriend while in Palma and the hotel staff have organized the room perfectly for our return with roses and Cava. I cant thank enough the hotel staff for their help in organizing everything. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great spa area, beautiful rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.
Stayed at this hotel from the 10th October till 14th due to flight being cancelled with Ryan air well where do I start This hotel was just beyond my expectations 4* I think it deserves 100* really good hotel close to beach and all Aminities free to use spa gym and swimming pools rooms absolutely lovely excellent views only had breakfast but plenty to choose from really enjoyed our stay
lovely hotel lovely staff always very helpful, was worried at first about the noise but you don't notice after a couple of days pool fantastic size and the indoor facilities were fab we did not use the gym but was very well equipped did notice the cycle facilities were fantastic for any one who rode. lovely range of nearby shops and restaurants and fantastic beaches as far as the eye could see, a small niggle about the food was not always hot whatever time u ate.we changed times several times and it was not any different, rooms spotless a little smaller than we are used to but u do only sleep and wash in them .cleaned dailey the housekeepers were very friendly would go again . thanks js palma
This hotel has comfortable rooms, beautiful grounds and an excellent, filled with variety breakfast included. Two issues that did stand out for us was that the WiFi just didn’t work in our room 2001. It faded 99% of the time with the network not readable let alone able to connect to. The other issue is that the two double beds in an adult only hotel don’t make sense. The double beds slide around with little nocturnal activity making for a royal nuisance! Can management at least tie the beds together so that my partner doesn’t fall between the two beds? Another positive is that there are no screaming children to deal with since it’s adults only! What a beautiful thing!
We found ourselves becoming increasingly more comfortable in this hotel during our stay. We found ALL the staff to be extremely professional and friendly and everywhere to be very clean and well maintained. When there was an issue with our first room allocation, it was quickly resolved and we ended up staying in a much more spacious junior suite ( thanks to Alvaro on reception) which had a lovely view of both the pool and the sea. Although clean and modern, we found the initial standard room small and a little claustrophobic but for a short stay would probably be ok - however the upgrade would be well worth it. TV in room not a problem as downloaded programmes to a USB which plugged into tele- not much going on after eve meal whilst we were there! We stayed half board and really enjoyed the food finding there was plenty of choice with themed nights creating variation. All the staff in the restaurant work so hard and you feel it really matters to them that your experience is a good one. If you order wine and don't finish it ( rarely a problem!) it can be labelled and kept in the fridge for the following night. The indoor spa is lovely and includes a relaxation room with lounger bean bags and soft music playing. The resort itself is quite nice but low key; pleasant beach, bars and few shops. Really recommend hiring a bike as whole area totally set up for cycling- ride to Palma takes a good half hour and the cycle path running along the coast is lovely taking you through a more up market resort called Portitxol with restaurants lining the seafront. In the other direction is Arenal ( much livelier!) which is also a lovely cycle ride with a wide palm lined pedestrianised road for most of the route. As others have mentioned, there's an "express" bus to Palma No 25 which we really recommend despite it being a good 15min walk to get to the bus stop for it. This is behind the Hotel El Cid (towards Arenal). Bus journey time approx 20 mins and 1.50 euro. Buses often packed and you may have to wait for the next one to come along or walk on to the stop before this which is outside the aquarium. We just combined catching the bus with a decent morning walk. Otherwise there's a bus stop 5 mins from the hotel for the non express bus as other reviewers have mentioned. All in all a great stay.
We stayed for a long weekend and have nothing but praise for this quality establishment. The views out from the room we had was brilliant, over the pool and Palma Bay over the surrounding buildings. The room was a little small as reported by others but that was the only negative. The pools area is second to none, the sunbeds are arranged each night with military precision, there is not a broken chair or umbrella in sight.... quality all the way. The bar service is excellent and the buffet restaurant (apart from a dripping tea pot ;-) ) had us all highly satisfied and saying very clearly that we would definitely come back to this great hotel.
