This was mine and my partners third visit to this hotel, we arrived and we we were recognised by staff members even though it was 2 years since our last visit. This is what makes this hotel so great, it's a lovely friendly run hotel with staff that have been there for years. Nothing is too much trouble and you're always greeted with a smile and a hello. The guests as well as the staff are all so friendly and always willing to give out advice on bus times and places to visit etc. The rooms are functional and clean, with complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel has had a bit of a refurb since our last visit and looks good. The restaurant area although small has an additional seating out on the veranda area which is good for people watching. There's a good selection of food at every meal time and it's very quickly replenished if anything runs out. I love the newsletter that they put out at breakfast time on every table for you to read. Full of info on places to visit, markets, the day's weather and a few useful Spanish phrases along with what the evenings entertainment will be. Saw singers, dancers and a magician while we were there. All pretty good acts and they kept the kids and adults amused. Talking of kiddywinks, there isn't a kids club here but there is a kiddy corner with a few toys etc for the little ones to play with which seemed well used and the kids I saw all seemed happy enough there. There's also an ice cream machine for the kids (and adults) which was very popular along with help yourself soft drinks, coffee and water machines. The pool bar opened through the day and the main bar opened from 5pm. They have great bar staff who remember what you're drinking as well as having a laugh and a joke with you. Once again, plenty of variety of drinks and very generous measures. I also liked the fact they now serve drinks in glasses and not plastic cups. They do transfer your drinks into plastic cups towards the end of the night that way there isn't the problem of glasses being left lying around after the bar has shut. People were still sat drinking long after the bar had shut and playing cards or chatting. The staff are quite happy with guests doing this unlike other hotels where they ask you to drink up and leave the area! I really can't think of any negatives about our visit here at all apart from maybe the lift doors slamming shut, although if people kept hold of the door as it shut instead of letting it just slam shut that very minor problem would soon solve itself. We came across stag and hen parties, families, couples and solo guests and they were all lovely. The stag and hen parties were quiet and no trouble at all. Overall another good stay here. Although all the staff are just brilliant and work tirelessly I have to mention Pedro who everyone loves. Not only did he remember us from two years previously he even remembered what month we were there! The guy is outstanding

Clean and Tidy, older style hotel in one of the best beach side locations in Mallorca. Food fine, views magnificent from the bar terrace and great service from engaging and helpful staff. Also on main bus route to Portals Nou and Palma for a change of scenery. I can't imagine what the whingers from Leicester did, most of the staff I engaged with were game for a laugh including the manageress. Will definitely return.

I've just came back after a second visit to hotel. The location is perfect just across the road is I think is the best beach I've been to. The hotel lives up to its 3 star rating... The all inclusive food is very nice with lager and red and white wine at hand. The pool is small but I opted for the beach. The pool has a small bar ran by a young lad who speaks very good English and is friendly. The main bar is ran well. At night they have entertainment but I went for walk to the countless bars. The receptionist is friendly helpful and quick. I was on fourth floor facing the beach and what a view especially when the sun is rising. I will return one day...so give it a go !! One more thing try the cocktails next door

Me and husband stayed here last week of may.after booking we read reviews (wrong way around I know!!😕) I was panicking that We'd made huge mistake..how wrong was I!! The hotel is a bit dated, but quirky and absolutely spotless, staff were amazing throughout. Pool area is small..but was pleasantly surprised at how many loungers were available all day every day. Nice touches throughout hotel include coffee machines and water machines, also champagne in reception 24/7..always sandwiches, nuts ,crisps muffins, fruit etc all day, food in restaurant was ample,ud have to be really fussy not to like anything.location I would say is best in Palma nova, central and across road from beach, cash point right outside hotel as well as pharmacy and loads of other shops.we stayed in room 421 which was great, could see pool, beach and promenade,we will definitely be returning.as for stags and hens,we saw both wen we were there,no trouble tho.but hotel don't put up with any nonsense.so if ur Worried, don't be..enjoy!!!xx

Me & A friend went here for her 40th Birthday never been here before so didn't know what to expect. We had a sea view room also over looking the pool area which was a lovely start to our holiday. Room was a little dated but we didn't spend much time in there so it didn't matter. Room was cleaned daily and the cleaner was spot on. All staff were welcoming and friendly and made you feel comfortable. It is a beautiful hotel location is brilliant you have everything you need at hand which means if you just want to relax and not venture out you can. However if you like to explore there are lovely walks you can take along the beach or there's a bus that goes to different parts of the island that stop close to the hotel. Over all everything was perfect from start to finish got home today looking to book again.

7 Days in May/ The hotel ishas just been dated, could do with a little more, exceptionally clean at all times. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially Pedro and Maria, if they left it would be a sad day, that's not to say that all the staff were great. after a couple of days the staff even remebered what drinks we wanted. The food is good and always plentfull, The chef cooked fresh food on the griddle in front of you at every meal. Different enteranment every night, The location is great, lots of shops and bars/restaurants close by, the beach and sea just across the road, only downside was a very small pool and lack of Gluten free food which my wife needs, but that's not stopping us going back in October.

The hotel is a little dated but exceptionally clean and well run. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is great and always plenty of choice with a chef cooking fresh food on the griddle at every meal. The extra touches include buckets of ice with fizzy wine to help yourself to, ice cream, crisps and nuts laid out all day to help yourself to. The location is fantastic with lots of shops and bars/restaurants close by.

Stayed here with 5 friends on a girls trip. All inclusive for 3 nights. We were a bit apprehensive but pleased to say we absolutely loved it! First impressions were great, greated by David in reception who was very friendly and went over and above our expectations to ensure we all had a great trip. The pool area was clean and although slightly cramped at peak times we were still able to get a bed each. Bartenders were so friendly and hospitable. Rooms were very basic but beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. Only thing with rooms was the thin walls, although we were roomed next to each other so didn't really matter to us. We also asked for sea view rooms and luckily all got them. The hotel is right beside the gorgeous beach. The food was not great, however for the cost we did expect this. One main selection for lunch and dinner. Wasn't our cup of tea but breakfasts were very good. And snacks during the day were also good so this shouldn't put anyone off. We were also happy to eat out anyway. Overall we had a great stay at tropico playa and would definitely recommend it and also stay again ourselves.

Having read some previous reviews we were prepared for the worst. Our room was a bit tired but functional, it was above the bar area so we did get some noise. The entertainment finished at 12 midnight most nights apart from our last night where there were out of tune group singing till the early hours. The food was ok, the drinks were ok but the staff were fantastic. The hotels position in relationship to the beach makes up for the failings in the hotel, we would probably go again if the cost was cheap enough.

The tropics provides a really warm welcome and the staff are a credit to the group, We went all inclusive and although they couldn't possibly please every body everyday for the hotel to provide what they did for the price was more than adequate . There was entertainment laid on 9 out of ten nights the other one being a quiz night . We had a great time there on our second visit and will be back. In summary great hotel in a brilliant location.
