This hotel is perfect for a short break. I was there with friends and we chilled by the pool each day and went into town in the evenings. I want to go back to spend longer there as there is lots to explore. You have to rely on a taxi into town as we didn’t find the bus available when we were heading into town. I do think the hotel could organise a shuttle bus into town at set times to help out guests as the taxi is extortionate! I think there are only 2 taxis in Deia!! The food at the hotel was very good and staff friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The most charming little place ever! We had a wonderful break: peaceful surroundings, amazing views, excellent service. Quiet but yet with many options of things to do: chill out by the pool, tennis, walks... Our room was very nice and comfortable and it had a balcony with the most incredible views. The food was very good and not too expensive for the high quality. Perfect location to enjoy the sunset. Fantastic experience, to be repeated again and again.
We returned to the Costa D'Or as we had such a wonderful stay here 3 years ago. And we had another wonderful stay. The hotel is so quiet and relaxing ( generally!) and the staff so friendly and accommodating. It's in a beautiful setting and the food we had in the restaurant out on the terrace looking out to the sea was just as lovely as before. Thank you to all the staff as you are all brilliant, look after your guests so well and do a great job. It makes a big difference. We had a room with a sea view which was very comfortable with re vamped bathroom which has been done really well. We stayed in the building over the dining room which we did before and prefer. One only slight issue and not a big criticism are that in the mornings around 7 to 7.30am we could hear the slightly insistent base tones of the breakfast (kitchen?) music which woke us up. We had one night however when we could hear someone in the next room talking very loudly and who had the loudspeaker on on his phone so loudly we could hear the man's voice on the other end of the phone......at well after midnight, which carried on for an hour on and off. We were very tired after an early morning flight and long day and needed to sleep. I think maybe guests need a polite reminder that some people are staying at the hotel because it's so quiet and relaxing and don't appreciate their noise! It was totally unacceptable at that time of the night. Not the hotels fault but it caused us some distress. We almost went to knock on their door in the end and we probably should have done but didn't want to make a scene and add to the noise for others! Just for people to note.....the hotel says adults only but in actual fact that means 14 + !
This was the first time I have travelled abroad on my own in so many years. And i want to do exactly the same thing next year again! I had such a fabulous stay at Costa d'Or. The Staff were all so friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Even eating alone at dinner was actually a pleasure and not, as i had feared, lonely. My room was comfortable - especially the bed! The shower was great and the towels nice, big and soft. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was delicious! With a great selection of fresh fish, meat and salads. I really enjoyed the wine too. The view was breath-taking and the sun set right in front of the pool. Because this is an adult only hotel it was so quiet!!! You could just listen to the sound of the ocean. Perfect. Thank you to Fidel and the Team who all made my stay so relaxing and unforgettable
A beautifully located hotel with stunning views. We were a group of ladies staying just one night at this gorgeous hotel for a walking trip around Deia and Valldemossa. I can't comment on the evening meal but it was served in an outside terraced area overlooking sea. The breakfast was freshly prepared with fruit, breads, cereals and hot options in a buffet style. Our bedroom was fine for an overnight stay with a vey large walk in shower. Our only criticism of the room was that the only mirror in the bedroom was inside the wardrobe and this was nowhere near an electric socket for a hair drier or straighteners. THIS IS MY PERSONAL GRIPE ABOUT 90% OF THE HOTELS I STAY IN..... ARE THEY DESIGNED BY MEN? There was a dressing table in the room with space for a mirror behind, why was this omitted from the bedroom? Everything else was perfect.
Impulsive decision resulted in a fantastic experience! Wonderfull place, location, views, nice room, good food, and really extraordinary service and attitude from everyone in the staff. Our best recommendations!
Today is our last day at this lovely hotel, I booked it to attend the wedding of our friend at Belmond la Residencia. Although I booked it on a breakfast only option we have been eating dinner here most nights, the quality of food is superb and the staff are friendly , polite and very helpful. The views are stunning and there are trails down to the village and to the beach but be warned to wear proper footwear as you couldn't use flipflops. Definitely a perfect place to unwind just what I needed after 5 weeks travelling in Canada two days before flying here to Deia this hotel helped me get over my jet lag . I just spent my days relaxing, taking in the views and traipsing down the beach to vary our activities. A trip by bus to port de soller is worth doing and I suggest you bring your beach kit a they have a lovely beach which we regretted not bringing ours. Watching the sunset while dining alfresco was just lovely . Thanks to all the charming staff at hoposa costa d'or you have made my stay truly memorable.
We have just returned from a 4 day stay at the Hotel Costa d, Or. If you looking for a tranquil child free location coupled with exceptional service you will not be disappointed. The location is stunning, the food amazing, and the staff are exceptional. (They even remembered my birthday which I had forgotten!!!) Many thanks, to Laura, Hassan, Christine, Khalid, Vincent and Carlos for making our stay memorable. We look forward to returning again next year.
For travelers who like peace and tranquility, this is the perfect spot. Small hotel, adults only, in a renovated farm located on a cliff with stunning views. Super staff and great food. Definitely a place to come back to.
I am writing this in my room overlooking the sea with the sound of the waves coming through the open window. I have just had a wonderful meal and been looked after by lovely staff. The meal came after I had sat by the pool, sipping a margarita and watching the sun set. Wow!!!
