Was, for a surprise, very easy to reserve a table for one person. When arriving I understood why, the room was half busy. I think this restaurant need a new, fresh vibe, touch. Meal - enjoyed as far as i had to take two mains to actually feel that I've ate ;) Service - excellent!
Visited 3 times in total. Stayed in a suit and twice in the apartment/ house's. Staff can be hot and miss. But generally helpful. Breakfast is great, dinner not so good. There is too much available outside for them to offer anything amazing. A long but comfortable walk to the main bars around the port. Kids areas are tucked away, which is a shame. Ideal for couples and older children.
Located in upmarket Port Andratx (which does not attract the riff-raff as no beach to speak of) and 10 minutes stroll from harbour frontage with shops, restaurants and cafes. Hotel/pool complex with apartments and villas in quiet location one street back from the marina. Modernised common parts but less so the remainder. Restaurant more a canteen serving buffet breakfast and dinner – Very good and varied selection for both but could be a bun-fight when hotel busy (Beware vultures taking more than their fair share of lamb chops from the hotplate). Villas are 2-up, 2-downs semis and ideal for two couples or parents + two kids. Set in a courtyard around a small pool. Private patio and BBQ area. TV has most UK channels. A/C on heat tends to take the house clammy but unlikely to be an issue when warmer outside. Service from the staff is outstanding – Very courteous, efficient and helpful. Various types of car available for hire from front desk (Basic 30 Euros per day, higher spec (Focus) 45 Euro per day all fully comp) as and when. One word of warning – If you are expecting only oldies and parents with toddlers in term time, think again. Germans either take their pre-teens out of school or there are very unusual half term timings. Some children of the feral variety and not helped by free ice cream and unlimited supply of boiled sweets. In summer, likely to be more popular with families so if you want a quiet life, then avoid like the plague. That said the weather in Majorca is better than UK so plenty of other times to enjoy the benefits of this hotel.
A very friendly and comfortable hotel. The apartments are convenient, comfortable and well cleaned and maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All meal are buffet style but well cooked and substantial.. It is located close to the Club de Vela yacht club and marina and when we were there is was very quiet and relaxing. A short walk to shops, cafes and bars.
good value and service out of season- comfortable rooms and beds suitable for self-catering, though the breakfast is excellent and the dinners not bad. ten minutes walk from the main port area with plenty of bars and restaurants (try romeo's). helpful and efficient staff. might be different in peak season. hire a car at Inter-rent (we paid 15e for a full week) and explore the island- about 20 ins from palma. you could use the bus but its not very flexible or cheap.
Just returned after a weeks stay self catering at La Pergola. Lovely spacious room which was cleaned daily. Towels changed regularly and bed linen also changed during our week stay. Greeted with a nice glass of bubbles on arrival by a helpful member of staff on reception. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the town of Port Andraxt with a good choice of restaurants. A lot were closed this time of year but still plenty to choose from. Would happily return and can recommend this hotel to others.
Lovely hotel with good facilities. Unfortunately it has a bit of an identity crisis, as much of the branding, such as linen, is in the name of the sister hotel Mon Port. Cleaning standards were good in our comfortable one bedroom apartment, although it was a bit of a trek from reception requiring two lifts, a long corridor and an outside pathway (Room 6108). The balcony was shielded by a row of tall trees, so had no view and little sunshine. Our package included a complimentary buffet dinner which we took on the first night and really enjoyed, particularly the large range of vegetables provided. We also dined there on our last night, but were disappointed in the buffet, with a mussel soup (not to my taste), quite a lot of fish and very limited choice of meat and vegetables. However, the buffet was very attractive for breakfast although, as with most buffets, the food was not very hot. I would certainly return to this hotel. The port with its lovely harbour is only a short walk away and there are many restaurants. Some of the shops and restaurants were closed for the winter and I can imagine that the resort is very busy in high season.
Many hotels close in Majorca for the winter, but La Pergola is open all year. Staff are happy and it shows in their attitude to guests - they could not have been more helpful. The one bedroom apartment was very comfortable with a good view across the pools. Cleaned every day by the cleaning staff who were also very pleasant. We were on a half board arrangement and the breakfast buffet offered a good choice of hot and cold food. The evening was also buffet style but with the added attraction of having fresh meat and fish cooked on the hotplate. Although the food was good, we missed being served by the end of the week. The hotel (because of various special offers - one of which we took up) was pretty much full, but this was not a problem. A very enjoyable week, in this great location near the town of Port d'Antratx where there were shops and some open restaurants. All in all
Very pleasant hotel. Friendly staff, clean room and facilities. The buffet breakfast was very good. We were given a free upgrade to the MonPort sister hotel but we were shown the La Pergola room as a choice and both rooms looked nice. Short walk to the port and an hour on the local bus to Palma (approx 5 euros each way)
Lovely stay at this Aparthotel, would go back, I don't say that to many hotels but this was so relaxing. Got a great deal as well. Not far to walk into Port D'Andratx which was full of great restaurants, food in hotel was good as well. Many boats to look at in Marina which you can walk through, also a good restaurant at the Yacht Club which is right in the Marina.
