I stayed here in a two bedroom room for a week long vacation with friends. The resort is in a great location if you want to be away from all the craziness of Palma. The port is in walking distance which is great but Palma is a 20 min drive. Rooms were clean but nothing special. This place is great if you aren't planning on spending a lot of time at the resort and just need a place to sleep. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner buffet and that's it. The outdoor pool is nice but again pretty standard for a hotel pool.
Just what a weary traveller needs on arrival - doubts over your reservation & details. Request for change to double bedded room as reserved was refused ; unsatisfactory twin-bed conversion with poorly fitting bedclothes was outcome from 2 complaints. Surprising lack of any apartment "welcome pack" e.g. tea/coffee/milk - empty 'fridge The property is beautiful and spotlessly clean thanks to brilliant room care. But be careful with the slick shower tray ! Restaurant service is excellent with helpful and charming staff. We v much enjoyed our short stay at this lovely location after initial disappointments. Thanks to reception for instant help with departure issues.
Stayed here end of February - early March 2017 for 4 nights. Set back from the busy tourist streets, apart-hotel with easy transport connection to other towns within short walking distance from the hotel to the bus stop & taxi rank. The hotel is very clean and breakfast was good, and the pricing affordable. It had pools indoor, outdoor and small gym. Would certainly consider staying again.
Stayed for four days in February for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. Greeted in reception on arrival with a glass of champagne and were upgraded to a two bedroom villa with a shared pool, which was ideal. It was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. On her birthday a bottle of champagne and flowers were left in the villa and in the evening she was resented with a cake and further champagne! The staff were very attentive. The hotel has a modern decor and the breakfasts were outstanding with a huge selection of hot and cold produce. We only ate there one evening but once again ample choice with fresh prawns, meat and fish. The other evenings we had a pleasant stroll to the harbour and found a Majorcan restaurant with excellent authentic food. It is also worth taking the local bus to the market in Andratx on Wednesdays, and Palma is only an hours journey away for 11 euros return. Overall an enjoyable break.
We arrived on the fifth of November for a late holiday. There was heavy rain as we flew into the airport which I hoped was not a sign of things to come but by the time we arrived at the beautiful La Pergola the sun was shining and continued to do so for the next nine days. We always enjoy the warm welcome we receive from all the staff but it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the glass of bubbly provided as we checked in. Very civilised. The rooms are always very clean and this was the same for the whole of our stay so many thanks to the very pleasant lady who looked after the floor we were staying on. The meals were excellent as usual and the variety was just as good as we remembered. The staff in the restaurant remembered us and this pleased us. The evening buffet was plentiful and the chef was always more than willing to make sure you got what you wanted. We had something different most nights and it was nice to try some local dishes and the different fish dishes. We must thank Dario for introducing us to some very nice wines and to his colleagues Xisco, Jesus and Kevin for their sterling work and making us feel so welcome in the bar. The breakfast bar was so relaxing before you set off for the day. There is a very good selection of breakfast items which allows you to have something different and if the weather is nice sit outside and appreciate the warm winter weather. All in all it was a lovely stay and we are looking forward to our next visit on the 22nd of April. This is a quiet location and we enjoy relaxing around the hotel and in the surrounding areas. Hiring a car was a good idea as this allows us to visit the many outstanding locations in Mallorca. Many thanks to everyone at La Pergola for making all our holidays with you so memorable.
Was, for a surprise, very easy to reserve a table for one person. When arriving I understood why, the room was half busy. I think this restaurant need a new, fresh vibe, touch. Meal - enjoyed as far as i had to take two mains to actually feel that I've ate ;) Service - excellent!
Visited 3 times in total. Stayed in a suit and twice in the apartment/ house's. Staff can be hot and miss. But generally helpful. Breakfast is great, dinner not so good. There is too much available outside for them to offer anything amazing. A long but comfortable walk to the main bars around the port. Kids areas are tucked away, which is a shame. Ideal for couples and older children.
Located in upmarket Port Andratx (which does not attract the riff-raff as no beach to speak of) and 10 minutes stroll from harbour frontage with shops, restaurants and cafes. Hotel/pool complex with apartments and villas in quiet location one street back from the marina. Modernised common parts but less so the remainder. Restaurant more a canteen serving buffet breakfast and dinner – Very good and varied selection for both but could be a bun-fight when hotel busy (Beware vultures taking more than their fair share of lamb chops from the hotplate). Villas are 2-up, 2-downs semis and ideal for two couples or parents + two kids. Set in a courtyard around a small pool. Private patio and BBQ area. TV has most UK channels. A/C on heat tends to take the house clammy but unlikely to be an issue when warmer outside. Service from the staff is outstanding – Very courteous, efficient and helpful. Various types of car available for hire from front desk (Basic 30 Euros per day, higher spec (Focus) 45 Euro per day all fully comp) as and when. One word of warning – If you are expecting only oldies and parents with toddlers in term time, think again. Germans either take their pre-teens out of school or there are very unusual half term timings. Some children of the feral variety and not helped by free ice cream and unlimited supply of boiled sweets. In summer, likely to be more popular with families so if you want a quiet life, then avoid like the plague. That said the weather in Majorca is better than UK so plenty of other times to enjoy the benefits of this hotel.
A very friendly and comfortable hotel. The apartments are convenient, comfortable and well cleaned and maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All meal are buffet style but well cooked and substantial.. It is located close to the Club de Vela yacht club and marina and when we were there is was very quiet and relaxing. A short walk to shops, cafes and bars.
good value and service out of season- comfortable rooms and beds suitable for self-catering, though the breakfast is excellent and the dinners not bad. ten minutes walk from the main port area with plenty of bars and restaurants (try romeo's). helpful and efficient staff. might be different in peak season. hire a car at Inter-rent (we paid 15e for a full week) and explore the island- about 20 ins from palma. you could use the bus but its not very flexible or cheap.
