We really enjoyed our week here. The hotel was clean and attractive. The staff were great. There are a few areas around the pool I noticed that need attention to maintain the standards. The gardens are large and attractive and even in high season we did not feel cramped for space. The beach is grey sand which doesn't look as attractive as golden sand but did not bother me. I enjoyed running along the beachfront each morning. It was very peaceful. The breakfasts were a very good standard and there was loads of choice. The staff were very helpful. Our room had a nice view across the pools to the sea. The road at the front of the hotel is busy and I would not have liked a room that faced the road. A really relaxing stay but plenty to do if you want to be active. We usually ate out in the evening, so not at the hotel. One night we did eat at the tapas bar in the hotel and that was nice food but rather expensive. We went to Laguna beach further along the beach to eat or into Estepona which takes about 35-40 minutes to walk.
Stunning hotel and pool area but beware the expensive pool bar prices. The beach area not as attractive but gives you the option of the beach or pool. Only a short stroll to Laguna Village if you fancy a change of scenery.
The hotel is nice with great pool and beach and not too far location from the center of Marbella but it's just over priced everything there is almost double the area average for a 5 star hotel , the room it self cost an average 500 euro
Perfection! Everything from service, you feel as a welcome guest and not as a client. Every small thing we asked was immediately responded ( first day we told reception that pool water was too cold- next day 3 degrees more ) Great location, amazing room and amazing sleeping quality. Perfect restaurants! Just great great food. It was one of top hotels I have been. Will come back just for staying here. And above all- stuff especially "Olga" from guest relations-Perfect!
Fantastic hotel. Staff pay attention to detail. The common parts are in need of a small upgrade to reach a real 5 star status but overall fine. Food and beverages are quite expensive but the quality is good. Mouchef the pool bar manager is very professional and attentive and always with a smile. Ludovica at reception was always smiling and very helpful to anything we needed.
Another great property from the Kempinsky group. We had a wonderful time at this location and experienced great quality and service, both in the property and the food. Would not mind staying there again.
We stayed in one of the owner apartments which is in another wing of the hotel. On our arrival we were met by the concierge who took out luggage and they parked the car. The greeting at the reception desk was prompt, polite and efficient and the receptionist showed us to our studio apartment. It was clean and tidy. The hotel was immaculate and all the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. The pool side (we were in the adults section) was lovely, although sometimes the music they played around the pools was a bit heavy. The staff in the towel hut were really helpful. We ate in the outside restaurant on our first day for lunch and dinner, and although it was lovely it was very expensive. We spent 200 euros on the first day on lunch, dinner, a couple of diet cokes and a bottle of wine. The following day we went down for breakfast to be told it was 30 euros each. We didn't stay....it was far too expensive. We asked for clean towels 1/2 way through our stay and was charged 30 euros for this...this is extreme in terms of cost. We cannot fault the staff though. All services were prompt and efficient. We had a problem with our safe and the maintenance department quickly fixed it. I'd definitely stay there again, but wouldn't eat or drink on site unless of course I won the lottery!.
The property itself is dated and used .The half of building does not belong to hotel ,the best part (more quiet and sea facing). So even side sea view rooms are rather noisy becouse of the nearest road and lounge neaby . The coffee machine have only premier plus room and suites !Is it Kempinski level ? The beach is present ,but no more ,to enter in the sea is very difficult without special shoes ,if you have no such you should better go 100-200 m left ,keeping direction to the public beach . Not bad swimming pool for adult .Convinient access to the saunas and gym after leaving the beach area . Not bad breakfast ,especially leg of hamon ,so you can cut the pieces you like . Do not like consierge ,for example .i took the private transfer E -class from Malaga hotel to Kempinski for 100 ,he gave me 150 for absolutelly the same . Not bad sea facing restaurant where we stayed many times ,a few hundred meters by walk you can find about 5-7 places to it more . Generally i was intending to give only 3 for the hotel service ,but two very kind women ;room director and guest relation manager inspired me to increase the final score . They were realy ready to hear customers and do their best ,unlikely the men . If you are not sea swimming fan or are with kids -it is not bad place to stay ,simply do not expect luxury .If you are ready for simly "good " you will not be disappointed .
Great location, on the beach of Estepona. Many restaurants and facilties to use: spa, swimming pool, fitness area. My junior suite was perfect. Wonderful landscape, confortable (i only suggest to put an hanger for the towels close to the shower). Breakfast was great (they should increase a bit the offer of fresh fruit). I had bad experience at one of the restaurant of the hotel but the director of food and beverage already apologize for this and probably the management of hotel and restaurant are different, i don't know. But i don't like that when i complain with receptionist they said that what was happened was quite normal... of course was not cause the director apologized with me later. Anyway this event doesn't affect so much my holidays and i will come back here for sure if i will have a chance.
As soon as I booked this holiday I was really looking forward to it. A nice week away with my mum. The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn't do enough for you especially the pool boys and at the restaurants. Firstly the cab from airport( Malaga airport) to the hotel was €115 and same from hotel to airport. So make sure you put €230 aside which took a massive chunk out of our spending money. We booked to stay on a half board basis which we always do and maybe it's my fault for not checking there's no buffet and you only have a choice of 3 restaurants. Spanish tapas with very small portions on the menu. Or a fish restaurant which was very poor. Or a steak and wine restaurant which was lovely and I felt it was our only choice. We had €65 each to spend which was plenty but very small menu. We were eating the same food again and again. Breakfast was really nice, normal. Room wise, we booked a premiere room which was beautiful and had a partial sea view and I thought we were gonna have 2 double beds but we got 2 singles. So I had to sleep on the sofa bed so my mum could have the bed which was very uncomfortable for me. Pool side I must say was fantastic. Sun beds very comfy. Pools were amazing. Kept nice. And you can't reserve beds before 10 so you can have a lovely lay in and breakfast without having to rush. Drink wise. Oh my god. You need to take a second mortgage on your house to afford a coke. €10 for 3 sips. €17 for 2 ice creams. Ridiculous. Nice place but I'll never go back again. A bit disappointed because I pay exactly the same money to go to Dubai and when I come back home can't wait to go back. I've came back from Keminski hotel Bahia feeling meeeehhhh!!!
