I has been in this hotel from 12/22 to 01/02/2017. The Hotel has excellent location, close to the beach and all tourist attractions. The neighborhood is full of restaurants and bars, next to hotel there are a Taxi . The room is very comfortable with balcony and excellent views. The staff is very friendly. I strongly recommend this Hotel to visit Malaga.

The location is very good, walking distance to downtown and lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. Room was comfortable and clean but a bit hot. Breakfast buffet was OK, a bit expensive. Service was friendly. There's a parking garage nearby that offer a discount for hotel guests.

This was our first trip to Malaga. The hotel and the general area could not be called pretty, but the hotel is very comfortable and very well located. We stayed room only so could not comment on the facilities. There is an excellent café right next door however which does good breakfasts. It is a pleasant walk into town and the port. The location could not be bettered as everywhere can be reached on foot. Highly recommended, we would stay here again without hesitation.

This is a great hotel positioned very close to the port with very clean comfy rooms. We were upgraded to a superior room without request. The only things that let the place down are broken sun loungers on the roof terrace and the hot breakfast is warm at its best but the continental choice is great and the dinning area very nice Staff are great

My wife and I recently spent a long weekend at this hotel. It is in an envious position, being easy to get to from the airport (route A bus - 3 Euro - takes you almost to the hotel) and close to the bullring, the old part of Malaga (Alcazaba, Gibralfaro etc), the port/marina area, and the Malageta beaches. At checking in, the friendly and welcoming receptionist told us that she had given us a 'very nice' room and she was right. The views from our 8th floor, corner aspect, room were breathtaking. Although some of the room décor was slightly dated and in need of refreshing, all the amenities we expected were present and correct and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was a huge king. Sleep quality was good as the hotel was quiet apart from some slight traffic noise. We used the (complimentary, but limited) spa facilities (hot tub, steam room, sauna) on the 12th floor. Surprisingly not many other guests seemed to want to these facilities so we regularly had the hot tub to ourselves. Breakfasts at the hotel were excellent. Service was via a buffet, with plenty of choices. The waiting staff cleared dirty plates/etc. quickly and efficiently. We didn't take dinner at the hotel, preferring to use one of the many local, and excellent, restaurants each evening. The only problem we had during our stay was an electrical issue with the fuse box which was dealt with promptly and courteously. Excellent service. We would happily return to this hotel in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here. First impressions weren't great as the small entrance and reception wasn't the norm for a 4 star hotel. However, our room (although the decor was a little dated) was a decent size with a nice large bathroom and it had a lovely view of the bull arena and castle. We were on the 12th floor in room 1. The hotel was in a great location being really close to the beach, the park and old town. There is a taxi rank right next to the hotel and the bus to the airport is a couple of minutes away. It's €3 one way and the stand at the airport is just outside the arrivals hall. Find the stand that is labelled Ligne A. Taxi is about €20 / 25. Breakfast was decent enough with bacon and eggs as well as cereal, cold meats, fruit and pastries. There are also a couple of cafes/bakers opposite and next to the hotel if breakfast is not included in your stay. We really enjoyed the free Jacuzzi and saunas. The Jacuzzi has a great view. Made use of them every day as a great way to relax after a day of walking!

Lovely hotel in excellent location, near beach, marina and short walk to main shopping centre. We booked room only but had a lovely breakfast in cafe a just outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend to friends and family as a lovely place to stay. We were very lucky with the weather too and got to spend an afternoon on the beach even though we went late November

We have stayed in Malaga on several previous occasions, but this was our first time at the 4 star MS Maestranza and we have already decided to book it again in 2018. The hotel's great advantage is it's location only a few minutes walk from the new harbour development (inc. the Centre Pompidou), the historic Old Town and the delightful Moorish Alcazaba. Transpot links are excellent, with the Port nearby, a taxi rank a few steps away and the Airport Express bus stop 5 minutes away in Paseo del Parque (fares to/from AGP are only 3 euros). The hotel itself is modern and rather unprepossessing at first sight, but has adequate facilities including a bar, restaurant and spa. Our room and bathroom were reasonably large and well-equipped with a room-safe, a balcony, a reasonably priced minibar and satellite TV (albeit with poor reception). We asked the Receptionist for a room with a good view and he kindly allocated a room on the highest (12th) floor, which had a stunning view of the Alcazaba opposite, together with the harbour and bull-ring. We would definitely recommend requesting an upper-floor room, if any are available. In summary, this is a comfortable Hotel with good facilities and it's location could not be bettered for those wishing to visit the historic and cultural sights of the city.

As I first entered the lobby I was not impressed as it is quite small and dark, we were allocated room 305. We wrere pleasently surprised by the light and airy room with a large window and a balcony with sea views. Clean spacious comfortable room is tastefully furnished with moderm furniture. E- suit is very modern clean functional comfortable and spacious. Hotel is located on a busy road and 20 minutes walk to the city centre makes it convenient. Cafes and restaurents scattered all around making it very convenient to eat out. Port and the esplanade just across the road gives plenty of places to visit. Rooms in higher floors x05 and x06 would be even better with better views and less road noise.

We had a 2 night stay having flown in. The staff were excellent. Let us keep our bikes in reception. They gave us a lovely room stunning view overlooking the park and marina. Nice touch with glass of cava on arrival ( perk).back on 24th for 1 night for the Xmas lights turn on. Can't wait.
