Amazing property, we were 19 of us and had a lovely time at the resort, the front desk as well as the support staff were very helpful. The USP of the place is the beach, feels like a private beach, quality of the food is good, they could add a few vegetarian options.
This was our 7th stay at this hotel. The location is wonderful (though a bit isolated), and the rooms are good size and standard. The only (and major) problem I have is the restaurant. When we arrived we went for lunch in the restaurant, the lunch was OK. But later we ordered dinner to our room, my wife ordered fish and I ordered a beef. When the food arrived, we were not satisfied, the fish looked like bad canteen-food, and the beef, which I ordered medium, was over-well-done. We asked them to replace this serving, and after 15-20 minutes they arrived. The new serving was slightly better, but not at all what you expect from a 4* hotel. Unfortunately, my wife’s stomach couldn’t take the fish, and she was unwell the next day. The remainder of our stay we used the nearby restaurant Cortijo de Ramiro, who serves a decent meal.
Love this hotel. Go here every year. Pool and beach are fantastic. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The rooms are pretty basic, but clean and tidy. Would recommend this place to anyone. I think it's better than the Kempinski and much more reasonable
I have done many reviews over the years, I try to be fair to all, never left a bad review but feel I have to warn golfing parties that this is not a place to stay!!! Staff at reception are surly, bordering on rude, Do not under any circumstances book a triple room, the third bed is nothing but a 'cot', placed in a very small room.... The beer is expensive, 6 euros a pint, a gin and tonic is 12 euros, absolutely ridiculous. The bar snacks are very expensive! To be fair breakfast is very good........the manager will leave a comment to this review and think all will be ok, but it's not, your hotel for a group of golfers is far too expensive. Golfers beware this is not a hotel for your!!!!!
This is a true account of our stay in June 2017 I have submitted this review on Booking.com who still haven't published it, which does make me think do they only want good reviews. We booked a stay here for 4 nights half board, on the first night their was a wedding party in the main restaurant and the only food available was overcooked brown mushy broccoli, shrivelled new potato's, rice and pasta which looked disgusting and inedible and a small selection of desserts uncovered and being sampled by the local birds, we ordered a pizza off the bar menu which was also poor. Hotel has a burger caravan by the main pool which is just awful. we wanted to leave on the first evening and find another place to stay but as all the management had left and no one else was particularly interested in our complaints we had to stay. Reluctantly had to pay for one night even though we had no choice and were offered no compromises as we had booked through Booking.com, the staff are not interested, the hotel is isolated, food is poor, drinks and bar snacks are expensive please be aware before you book.
rooms ok. pool ok. lots of building work on beach with lorries running up and down the beach. not sure this can be rated a 4/5 star hotel. nightmare getting a cab outside which isn't what would expect. its a pain to get here from the main centre.
This hotel is fantastic I have just returned home, following a weeks break. The facilities are second to none,we had been informed that the golf was not part of the hotels dealings. However there is a golf office and a small pro shop on the hotel site with very helpful staff running them. My party and I would not hesitate, to return to this excellent hotel.
The airconditioning is a "clamitacion" whatever it may mean. Say then honestly it doesn't work properly. Sorry for the friendly staff... Paying 265 € per night is very exagerated. Old fashion rooms and hotel.
General facilities and dinning were all OK, but were discouraged from enjoying ourselves (laughing, using pool inflatables, general horseplay in the pool) by a the lifeguard who only applied these rules to our group and one other group who were also trying to relax and enjoy the pool. This was even when the pool was completely empty! At one point we were told that we were laughing too loud!!! A few days later other guests (including adults) were allowed to enjoy themselves and use inflatables in the pool... the same lifeguard was on duty!
Stayed here recently for a golf break. The hotel was of a quality standard and completely faultless. Great views, nice rooms and impressive golf. Far enough away from the nightlife that it's peaceful but still only 10mins in a taxi.
