I had booked a nice light-filled apartment, but what we got was a grubby two rooms at the bottom of a light well, with bugs crawling over the pillows and curtains and even at one point my toothbrush. It was really quite shocking. The stove and microwave did not work, and a light over the stove would not turn off, necessitating a towel hung over the slatted bedroom door. The place had absolutely no charm, and there was nothing in the way of decor, just some furniture pressed against a wall and a couple of lights we had to plug and unplug to make work. In addition, the elevator was usually filled with cleaning supplies: mops and brooms, once a pail of dirty water.
I reached out repeatedly to Libere, especially regarding the stove and lights, but only got automated responses, never a real person, and nothing was ever done. In fact, I had another booking with them the following week, which I tried to cancel, but I was told that the cancellation fee was equal to the rental, and I got no satisfaction there either. In the end, I just I didn't show up for the second rental. This was by far my worst lodging experience over many many years of traveling.
