"The Gîte is very well equipped with plenty of cooking equipment and a nice garden. We found it comfortable and easily met our needs. The garden area with bbq was very nice and we used this quite a bit. Only slight inconvenience was the wc. It is very small!The location is great for accessing the port and beach of Grandcamp Maisy and there are several restaurants in the town. We would advise booking. We went to one recommended by the host on our first night. We were lucky that we charmed the manager to find us a table. But others were turned away. The town is well placed for exploring the D-day sites, situated as it is slap bang in the middle. Our hosts at the Gite gave us plenty of info on the area and communicated well. We would certainly not hesitate to book this Gite again if we come back to this part of Normandy."
