Got lost and came across this restaurant. Beautiful inside with a terrace outside. We sat outside but the view is spoilt by the poor state of the building next door. Whilst the service was good, if only the waiters smiled a bit more. The food was really excellent. We all had 4 different meals. Everyone was very well presented and delicious. These were the best meals we had over 8 days in Madrid and the cheapest. Well done.
Stayed here 2 nights and would definitely not recommend. We had a room with a terrace which we were informed is only on the top floor, so carrying 2 huge suitcases up 5 flights of narrow stairs was definitely a challenge (there is no elevator). The wifi did not work the entire time we were there, despite numerous requests to the front desk. The room with a terrace was also extremely small, to the point where 2 people could not walk around at the same time in the room. The only pros were that the terrace was nice and the bed was comfortable.
I came here to explore Madrid and chose this property because of its price, convenient location and the balcony. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I received a friendly Spanish welcome when I entered and the staff made sure I was all settled in and answered all of my questions about the area. They were fantastic! The room itself was very clean and a good size for downtown Madrid. It was centrally located and I did not have to walk very far to get to all of the attractions, the metro is also close by to get to and from the airport. The area is not the best at night but nor is it the worst I felt comfortable going outside just a little more alert is all. One gripe is that I did not like having to return the key every single time I went out, it really wasn't a big issue because everyone was nice and there was always someone at the front desk it was just weird for me, although I understand the reasoning. Overall I would totally stay here again if my travels bring me to Madrid again.
I booked a double with balcony and the room was very good, clean and well maintained. The location was excellante !. The only issue for some might it has no lift so if you can walk up to 4 flight of stairs then no issues.
Location is great. You can walk to Sol, Plaza Mayor, La Latina neighborhood. Rooms are tiny but well maintained. Comes with balcony. Staffs are nice and very friendly. Available 24 hours. Definitely recommended. There're bunch of places nearby offering breakfast at a cheap price.
A perfect stay in Madrid! I spent three nights in October. Great location, Tirso de Molina square is close to everything yet quieter than the noisy busy center. Small hotel, spotless clean, the nice lady at the reception desk was so helpful. Small modern rooms yet functional and very comfortable. You can walk everywhere from the hotel - Madrid is so pretty and easily walkable. I would definitely stay again.
We stayed at this hotel in Madrid before our trip to the south of Spain. We got the junior suite and it did not disappoint. The room was spacious with a cute little balcony. The bed was so comfortable, and the rooms were clean with a daily cleaning service of wanted. The hotel was central with cafes shops and restaurants close by. It is true there are no lifts and we did have to go up four flights of stairs. But this should not put you off as the place is great value for money. I would recommend to friends and family!!
We had a 4th floor room with enclosed balcony. The room suited our needs and was clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A short walk to the Metro and Sol and lots of small bars in the nearby square. The 4th floor walk could be a bit much if you weren't good at stairs
Fairly simple accommodation at a very good price in an excellent central location, just 10 minutes walk from Sol and the centre of Madrid. The hotel is really just a few rooms and a reception, with no breakfast available- however this is not a problem with an excellent and very cheap eat-in bakery just yards up the street. The rooms are small but nicely decorated with all of the facilities you need for a weekend stay, and all of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Woud recomment this as a good value, central crash pad for a short stay in Madrid.
For location, you can't beat this one: a block away from the Tirso de Molina metro station and short walking distance to most of the main sights within the city. The neighborhood is safe, and the room, while small, is clean and very tasteful. We found we had enough room even with two large suitcases and two carry-on roller bags (though we had to be a little inventive in how we stored them). Downsides are that there's no elevator (not uncommon), the street outside can be noisy into the wee hours (welcome to Madrid), and payment is only in cash. But those negatives aren't enough for me to drop the rating of what was an excellent hotel.
