NH Madrid Príncipe de Vergara

This is a functional business hotel but it pretty soulless. The bar area should be thriving but it seems more of an inconvenience when people sit there. Since I last stayed they have got rid of the complimentary glass of wine at 5pm too. That is a real shame as may add somewhat to the atmosphere of the place. My room was small this time around but often its bigger. No tea/coffee or bath but I guess that is usual. Special mention to Diego who was the breakfast waiter. The first day I was running late and told him so and he sorted me out very quickly (breakfast is good quality with cold stuff and chef will cook hot stuff too) next day he recognised me and again hurried me through with great and speedy service. Hardly any English channels on the telly but again I guess that is normal.

I stayed in this hotel 2 or 3 times during my business trips to Madrid. A good hotel, employees were friendly and the room was confortable (PAY attention to ask a room in the quiet part and not on the street else you'll not be able to sleep). I used to choose NH in Madrid especially because of the generous breakfast with large choice. Very nice hotel with clean room and excellent breakfast. I can sleep well at night with very calm condition. I would like to stay again if we have a plan to travel Madrid. If there are any convenience store around the hotel, it would be perfect.

I love this hotel. I had a pleasant stay at the heart of the wealthy Salamanca neighborhood in Madrid. Maybe the hotel is a bit far from the city center (for those of you that are doing tourism in Madrid), but still there is a subway station nearby. Definitely, a top choice if you are doing business near the neighborhood of Salamanca. My room was absolutely quiet (even though the hotel was full), big enough, and charming. The staff was very friendly. The waiters that served us an alumni dinner that we had at the hotel were extraordinarily friendly and diligent (by the way, these waiters were the following day serving breakfast as well). Just one complain about it: the check-in process was slower than usual. Overall, a great, pleasant experience.

Good hotel in the middle of the city Regarding my room, for the quality of the hotel i think it is small Probably because this room is from the interior (no window for street) Nice bathroom. Room and bathroom well clean Breakfast with all custom things, nice and fresh.

3rd floor, nice and quiet. WiFi is worse than dial up for those that remember it! I'd recommend somewhere else if you have kids or need a hotel for business purposes. If you wish to disconnect then go for it!!

Clean standard room with good breakfast and great wifi. Proximity to metro makes it a plus. It is your standard business hotel and well kept. Take the #200 bus from the airport to Avenida de America and its a fairly short walk to the hotel. Though it is on the street, the traffic is not horrible. There are some lovely restaurants and bars close by and a Carrefour 8 mins up the block which is great if you need a convenience store. Would stay here again.

Couldn't find fault. 4 Star at its best. Quality everything. Staff impeccable. 1st Class Breakfast. Will definitely stay there again. Booked in January so forgot I'd booked a Junior Suite. Price wise I think I fell lucky. Tip. Just shop around.

Very good value for money. I was lucky to get an upgrade to a junior suit, which is very specious. Good location with excess to the Metro around the corner and surrounded by number of good quality restaurants

strange smell in the room -noisy air con and the ding from the lift to wake the dead. hotel location was good, breakfast was ok, staff where great - im sure they would have moved my room if I could be bothered to moan.
