Hotel Pullman Madrid Airport & Feria4.0 out of 5.0

The Hotel has a Shuttle bus from the airport, I seemed to have timed it badly, in that it was a 35 minute wait for the Shuttle to return to pick up point (I must have just missed it when I arrived at the Shuttle stop). 10 minute drive to the hotel in a very nice Shuttle bus, the hotel check-in was fast and efficient with friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable, I liked the shower in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet and the free bottles of water were very welcome. The Gym at the hotel is small but it did have two running machines, 1 recliner bike, an elliptical trainer and weights and a bench (There is an external swimming pool but was closed in November when I stayed). The breakfasts were very good and had an evening meal in the restaurant, the food was good and the price very reasonable. Overall a nice place to stay if working or attending the Feria as it is only a 5 minute walk away.
This hotel has a very good position if you go to Madrid for business at IFEMA or want to stay close to the airport, as being 5' away from IFEMA southern entrance and 2' from metro station, 1 stop away from Barajas T1/T2. Not by hazard I have seen several flying crews going in and out. Personnel is very efficient and is a plus. Common areas are quite small, so if a group of 10 people want to have a beer they immediately become crowdy and noisy, My room was more than appropriate for the level of the hotel in size and cleanliness. As facing the main road (Avenida Capital de Espana) it was a bit noisy despite being at a high floor, although night traffic is extremely reduced. Some buzz from air conditioning was a bit disturbing, but the option was no heating. I did not like much lavabo and shower: the first had the tap too close to the border, forcing you to lie to wash your hands (and pressing the towel rack on your stomach or legs, as being just in front of it); about the second, in a full week I could not find any way to avoid to be hit by cold water while opening - few seconds, but unpleasant. Breakfast was in a room that looked like too much to a cafeteria, missing hot dishes like scrambled eggs (available upon request, but adding time to the service), with food of average quality. The room has own style, and that's appreciated. However, I noticed several defects in the aisle and room: a small hole in the baseboard; two holes and a sign on the wall showing something that was removed; extremely limited desk space, making almost impossible to work with own laptop; some sign of age on sofa. Positive: good wifi, fast and stable; shuttle to/from the airport. All in, an average choice with key pros in terms of position (also consider several good places where eating in 15' walking range as well as a mall) and some cons in terms of quality, in average more than acceptable.
Hotel has free shuttle and easy to go to downtown by mrt. However, room and hotel is outdated. Pricewise is a little high for that kind of experience and ambience. I did not take the breakfast. Plus side is free shuttle to and from the airport. Hotel close to station to go to downtown.
This hotel is outside city center, but at 5/8 minutes from airport by metro. Rooms are clean and spacious. Perfect if you're in Madrid for work. Taxi is always available. I really loved breakfast, you can find anything you need. Olive oil too and fresh fruit, as a market. Great! Only 2 things: wi-fi doesn't work so good inside rooms (it's not fine in a business hotel); there isn't a kettle.
Stayed here for 1 night during a long layover. They have a free shuttle bus that comes every 30 minutes. Every aspect of the hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was large and very clean. The WiFi worked well. The restaurant was small but had options that met our needs.
Great hotel and location a distance walk (2min) from Metro and Feria Madrid! The metro next to the hotel Could take you to the center of the city in 20-25min! The hotel has its own airport shuttle which is great! Very clean and large rooms! Friendly staff! Correct breakfast! To definitely go to again!
We arrived early evening to be close to the airport for a long Intercontinental flight the next morning. The room was good although odd not having a desk. The bathroom was nice with an excellent shower. My daughter left a necklace in the room which she remembered while we were at the airport. We rang the hotel and spoke to housekeeping who went to the room and found it. It was subsequently posted home to us in Australia at minimal cost and we were very grateful. Thank you. Excellent choice for a quiet hotel close to Madrid airport and the convention centre. The airport shuttle was very convenient to the airport.
I would not recommend this hotel even though it is nicely appointed. Three or four hotels share one van so the shuttle ride to the hotel seemed long to me. Our driver was a jerk and, although the hotel says shuttles come every half hour, we waited 45 minutes. I had an early plane to catch and the first van leaves the hotel at 6:00AM. I paid for a cab that cost me €24 for the 10 minute ride me to the airport. The cab to the airport from Madrid cost €30. The cost, therefore, was considerably high for an airport hotel.
Average hotel. Nothing special. The food at the restaurant was horrible, tasteless and poorly cooked. Waiters were very ignorant, arrogant, careless and with very poor manners. Waiter Ramon was extremely rude when we requested to bring the appetizer before the main course (very basic request). We tried to complain with the manager and oh surprise, nobody was around. Please do not eat there, go outside and get something decent in a nice environment.
Pullman has a free airport shuttle that runs like a clock and takes about 20 minutes including a stop at one of their other hotels enroute. Great hotel! Not your typical airport hotel as it is well a appointed and in a really great location. Next to a huge park with running and bike trails and a ten minute walk to some good restaurants and a lovely department store. A short walk to the subway to the center of Madrid. Hotel desk staff friendly and very helpful. Printed our boarding passes and provided us maps and restaurant information. Lovely quiet comfortable room.
