We stayed in the Royal Palace view room for 9 days. This hotel was a real gem. The room was very comfortable and so was the bed. Being in the royal palace room you are facing the street so traffic can be a little noisy, we just use rain sounds on our phone at night to drown that out. The TV had many channels but only two in English, both news channels. Free WIFI which worked great. Typical European bathroom with odd shower access (water can go everywhere) but this room had a bathtub (for one) which was nice to relax in every night. The breakfast package is a good thing to add to your room, it has a good variety of 'European' breakfast items. Pastries, eggs, cheeses, meats, pancakes, juices and coffees. There is a coffee machine in the main lobby that you can access for free 24 hours a day. This is wonderful to have access to espressos, cappuccinos and lattes at 2am when you cant sleep! The staff was super nice and always helpful. Would stay here again the next time we visit Madrid!

This hotel is ins great location within walking distance of the city centre and very close to 2 metro stops so very easy to access to and from the airport. I was worried when I read the reviews about noise and thin walls but this was not my experience at all I got a great nights sleep through out my stay. The room itself was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. The maid service was fab and new toiletries were left daily. Guests who opted not to pay for breakfast were provided with tea, coffee and water as well as fruit and breakfast pastries. Staff were courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. It was a faultless stay!

This established hotel, within minutes of the Royal Palace and Plaza D'Espana, serves as an excellent base for exploring Madrid, especially with a bus stop within yards of the entrance. The complimentary cakes and coffee in the lounge and the water bottle in the mini-bars are also a nice touch.

We chose this hotel due to its central location although the metro system is so good that you could stay anywhere. Furthermore, the fact that you are opposite the Palacio Real does not mean that you have any stunning views of this landmark as you can't see it. The room was fine but unfortunately the walls are as thin as paper and we did not sleep a wink for the whole duration of our three night stay. Our second night was particularly horrendous as a couple decided that it would be ok to screech to music in the early hours of the morning so we had to phone the receptionist who did call their room but it made no difference. We won't be returning.

Easily accessible through public transport ; a stone throwaway from the nearest bus stop; walking distance from plaza ; Rooms were spacious and clean bathrooms ; Breakfast was very good and staff was hospitable and kind of enough to give us milk for the infant during off hours. We were also provided with a Crib as requested.

We stayed here for 7 nights as we were visiting our daughter who is studying in Madrid. We got off metro at Principe Pio stop only to discover we had an up hill treck to get to hotel. It's easier to get off at Plaza de España metro and walk down.Hotel itself was very clean...rooms emaculate and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was to the back , so no view of the Palace but it was peaceful whilst no one in other rooms! Walls seemed thin as we could hear everything from people either side. Thankfully their talking didn't last too long. Our bed was the biggest I have ever had, though it was super firm and pillows soft.Room also had a fridge with water already there for us and a safe if you need one. Super hot shower and hats off to our cleaner, it was also emaculate. Grand Palace, Temple Debod, Plaza España, Opera and Gran Via all within very easy walking distance. An excellent area to stay. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on the food(places to eat nearby) but I would certainly stay there again.

Positive: close to the Palacio Real, the size of the rooms and beds that are comfortable. Negative: the hotel needs urgently a renovation: painting and carpets in the corridors, awful lifts, breakfast room in the basement. All this gives the impression the the hotel has seen better times...

This hotel is in great location, has great staff, great price, and is very cute. We were very happy with our room and bed. Only negative is the noise...walls are paper thin and you'll hear the TV and any conversations from adjacent rooms and any other noises of people walking/moving from above. It really didn't bother us that much and we enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at this hotel with the family. Very clean, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds and very nice linens. Very close to the Royal Palace and the Gran Via. There is parking next door and they give discount to hotel guests. Definitely will come back! !

Clean and excellent location. Had a bit of luxury . Staff were very helpful and pleasant and wanting to please. Had WiFi. Had the breakfast which was typical hotel fare for the price. Staying again for our return home.
