Stayed here for 3 nights, as part of package trip for Andre Rieu concert. I will say that the staff (with one exception) were very nice...pleasant and friendly, The beds were quite comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. I did request a second pillow, as there was only one flat one on the bed and was told that housekeeping would bring one up, if there were any spares. I did eventually get one, but the iron I asked to borrow never materielised. The bedroom itself, at best, was bland, with no welcoming features at all. The wardrobe looked like it was suspended on a steel girder!! Not a picture on the walls! The carpet was absolutely filthy, not hoovered particularly well and with disgustingly filthy stains all over it. Luckily I brought slippers, as you would not walk on it barefoot. The small round table had stains and "ring" marks all over it. It really wouldn't have taken much effort to give it a wipe with a damp cloth! We had booked two twin rooms, but were given one double. When we said we would push the beds apart ourselves(they were two beds pushed together), if we could have two single sheets and duvets, we were told that they would be sent up, IF housekeeping had any to spare! ??? The breakfast was very good, with plenty to choose from a good variety of food. However, the tea/coffee/ hot water came from one small machine, for which everyone queued up and could only operate one at a time. It really was very inefficient and time consuming, given the amount of guests having breakfast. That system really needs to be changed. To be honest, we had a pleasant enough stay at the hotel..although not the best one I've ever stayed in, by a long shot. However, the dirty room and filthy bedroom carpet has ensured that I would definitely not stay here again.
Stayed in this hotel for three nights while attending Andre Rieu concert. 15-20minutes walk to centre of town, a shuttle bus available a few runs in the morning & in afternoon til 6pm. Taxi can be booked at reduced rate through hotel. Breakfast good, plenty variety however very difficult to get tea/coffee, table service not available. Rooms very comfortable, stayed on 6th floor-Executive. Staff, always pleasant & helpful.
This hotel is a hidden gem on the edge of Maastricht. Although situated across the river from the city centre it's only a five minute taxi ride to the heart of beautiful Maastricht. Room very modern with full facilities and tastefully decorated. Breakfast and Dinner in the Dreamz Restaurant was fantastic. Good service with excellent quality of food. Highly Recommend indeed. Courtesy bus operated to city centre.
Modern hotel. Would class it as business hotel. It is 25 mins easy walk into city. Air con set at 19 which we found a little warm. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. They even had mugs for tea. Twin bed room, very comfortable. They have a safe in the room. Please use it. PLEASE mind your belongings at the Andre Rieu concert. We were on a package which was expensive but have looked around since coming home and havn't found anything cheaper. Most people we spoke to were staying out of town and traveling in for the concert. But getting home after midnight would bring other problems. Restaurant prices are same as home, average or expensive depending on your choice.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and I could not wait to get out of there, however, had to stick it out since we were attending the concert on Saturday. I can list a number of things which leave a lot to be desired. Air condition in our room was not working and girl at reception kept telling me it should work, we must have the window open. I kept telling her the windiw was closed and she only beleived when she came up herself. In the end we were given another room. The AC was working here but it did not feel like it was. We did nit sleep for 3 nights it was so hot. I booked for a double room and were given 2 beds with very uncomfortable pillows. The decor is so outdated and uglyand when I think of the money we paid for this it makes me so angry. Also with the high price we paid breakfast was not included and the charge was 17 euros. Unbelievable! The hotel is situated in a very cut off place and ine needs to take bus or taxi yi go to town. Not very nice. One night we decided to eat at hotel to save us getting a taxi again to go to town and back . Again the prices for dinner are so ridiculous for what you get. I had fish and the portion I got was what you give to a child. I will not recommend this hotel for sure and I am sure one can find hotels in centre of Maastricht which are either the same price or cheaper. I cannot believe myself that I was so stupid and booked so readily here because after seeing what we got for the enormous amount of money we paid I feel hundred percent sure we could have got a better deal. Stayed two nights to attend Andre Rieu Concert. Room was suitable but far from any feminine touch, more like truckers stop off. Air conditioning unit was noisy and had to be turned off at night. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, despite advising hotel reception they were not changed. Breakfast for €19 a head was poor. Limited cooked food, buffet cold meats and cheese, and all drinks hot and cold were available via a machine. Shuttle bus into centre was fine although limited and payable additionally. Expensive hotel for position and facilities; go for a more central hotel.
We stayed at this hotel as part of a group trip to Paris & Maastricht ending with a most magical night seeing Andre Rieu and his orchestra perform in his home town! For us the only element of this trip that disappointed was this hotel, primarily due to its location. It was too far to walk into the centre and the hotel offered only a limited shuttle bus service to the city centre or a taxi in and out of the city. The only facilities nearby were a McDonald's or a buffet style Chinese restaurant. As I mentioned, this was part of a tour and when booking we were unaware of the hotel location. I would not recommend or choose this hotel for a leisure break as it is really only suitable foe business travellers and conferences, especially considering that nearly all rooms are twin! Breakfast offers a great choice, although one morning they ran out of bacon! Whilst our breakfast was included, guests who weren't on this package were charged €19.50 each for breakfast!!! In my opinion this hotel is a very far cry from a 4+ star hotel and only merits 3 stars.
Lovely hotel, contemporary decor, no frills but everything you need from a hotel you get here. Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, especially the coffee- proper. I would recommend it.
THE LOCATION: If you are planning to visit Maastrich centre, this is not the place for you. If you are planning to be close to the stadium then, i'd rather not stay here either! It's not bad. But its really not that far to the centre and Maastricht has some really nice things to offer, there is no need to be this far out. FACILITIES: The hotel covers your basic needs, not more or less. I quite enjoyed the check-in/out process though. The bar is OK and i'd rather spend time here than in my room. It's not bad, not at all. But not for me!
I have stayed here quite a few times and every time it gets slightly worse. It's quite cheap, but the rooms are getting very tired. If you are on a tight budget it might be OK otherwise I would stay in a more modern hotel.
