Nice venue for your wedding day, service was good and the staff very very pleasant and helpful, food was good and the breakfast was great. The room was very clean but they could do with updating. That said the bed was very comfortable. The biggest disappointment was the bar prices and unless you are a premier league footballer either don't have a drink or stock up at the nearby Sainsbury's
Only stayed one night and didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Lovely hotel, clean and friendly, lovely setting. Night porter was great, serving us until 1 a.m. Would definitely stay again.
The Hotel is currently owned by the MacDonald Group. A pleasant hotel but needing an update in the original building. Our room was clean, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & board, hairdryer, etc. Our room overlooked the car park and patio area, convenient for us to keep an eye on our classic car. Breakfast was full English, toast was proper Artisan bread not the usual sliced loaf! Plenty of fruit, cereal, fresh bread, cold cuts, Danish pastries & croissants. Evening meals could have been better, Chef needs to be given more money to spend & given free rein tonproduce a better, more up-market menu! Our Gala evening meal was fine but other meals I can only describe as being of the 'Geriatric' type! The staff were very friendly & helpful, especially our breakfast lady!
Poor / aged plumbing leads to noise during the night. Poor showers. Excellent breakfast. Have not eaten an evening meal there as the hotel is well located for a walk into town for restaurants and pubs. Overpriced rooms
An ok place to stay. Relatively easy to find following the sat nav, though it can depend from where you set out, some of the lanes were pretty narrow. I did not have breakfast as it was far too expensive. The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were attentive and helpful.
This is a nice hotel which is a little tired considering the cost of the room. Specifically, the tiles in the on suite, were old and the grout was black - not quite what you expect at this price. Friendly staff in a nice setting but just too expensive.
The Lymm Hotel ticks all the boxes for a mass gathering of people and cars. There's plenty of capacity and a very good car park. We had dinner bed and breakfast for three nights and it was all fine. The hotel is in need of modernisation. In our room there were unnecessary objects taking up valuable space, such as a large tray on bedside table with an empty ice bucket, slippery heavy ornamental bedcovers (where do you put them?), and an out of date information folder. The lighting was inadequate and the switches not easy to reach from the bed. The toilet flush was weak. However, it gets three stars because it was clean and comfortable and the dining room staff were great. They were understaffed but worked really hard and cheerfully to cope with serving all our meals in a friendly manner.
We booked through booking.com so didn't realise there was a wedding on when we were staying but the hotel staff were great and as the lounge/ bar area is relatively small it was full with the wedding before they moved to their evening do so the manager came over and said they had made up our table in the restaurant early which I thought was nice The food was excellent and really well priced with great service and a nice children's selection - breakfast also kept to a high standard with a great choice and very well cooked Nice setting and although some rooms are a bit outdated it is a quaint hotel and we slept well in the annexe part of the hotel where we couldn't hear the wedding music / disco too much even when we opened the room windows Would recommend and definitely timely stay again when up visiting family :)
We held a touring weekend in Cheshire for 50 classic cars. The hotel gave us a package which included a hold on a block of 50 rooms for 3 months whilst we advised our members, a secure car park and a varied and flexible meal plan. All at a very reasonable price. Everyone felt at home here thanks to the comfortable rooms, helpful staff and excellent village location. At the end of our stay, many people were saying that they would return to this part of the UK, which they had not visited previously. Would recommend the Lymm Hotel to other car clubs looking for a touring base,
