Stayed for one night booked by my company. Its in a quiet residential location, about 25minute taxi ride from Warrington. The road the hotel is on really needs to be repaired, the potholes were horrendous. Check in was ok, but there was only 1 receptionist on duty at the busy time I arrived so had to wait in a queue to be checked in. I was put in the annex adjacent to the car park. its getting a little tired and the room was quite dark. Theres no double glazing or airconditioning in hte room and I was woken by people constantly speaking at 6AM in the next room. considerate! The bathroom needs a refurb, peach fittings and a mixer tap shower. the flush took a couple of pumps to work too. I didnt eat in the hotel so can't comment. Overall, I would stay again, it wasn't a memorable experience but was ok.
A sunny evening in summer and all our first-choice pubs were fully booked, but we chanced on the Lymm Hotel's "Inn at the Lymm Hotel" and took a punt. With a vegan in tow this can often be a difficult experience, but the Lymm Hotel staff were excellent. They accommodated us superbly offering vegan alternatives for every course, and adapting the courses to suit. It was phenomenal service at a moment's notice!
The hotel from the outside is very impressive. Reception is small but the staff were excellent. My room was in the Annex and was a little dated. Room was clean although the shower looked dirty due to the design of the cladding. It really needed collected grime in the corners cleaning out properly with a deep clean. Food standard and presentation were superb.
Stayed for one night. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice although pretty pricey at £17.50! The room I had needed modernising and the bathroom was a little rough round the edges. I would stay at the Lymm hotel again but wouldn't expect luxury.
Good clean friendly hotel. Good customer service. No complaints. We stayed for one night for a friends wedding. We rang and arranged early check in at short notice and no extra cost. Very good service.
Nice welcome at reception, phone call to make sure everything was OK in the room - However room was a bit dated and not that impressed for £107 a night (Room 153) Surprised you had to walk outside for some distance to get to reception, when the buildings are joined? Weather was pouring down the next morning so got soaked going for breakfast Reserved a table for dinner , there was a manager floating about but otherwise you seem to employ very young and inexperienced people to serve at the bar and restaurant. They seemed paranoid about getting you to sign for everything, even if you were just ordering another drink having signed already and proved you were staying at the hotel Food quality was excellent and it came up quickly and piping hot so no moans there. But having sat down I was asked by the young lad for my food order when there was no drink in front of me. Surely this is basic stuff, as if you want a drink or a wine list. Having ordered a bottle of wine, he then returned with a glass. I pointed out his error and his response was 'you didn't specify' - If I didn't specify anything then ask, don't bring a glass and assume! I then had an excellent meal but, nit-picking here, but didn't get a steak knife when I ordered a sirloin? Then got charged £24 for the wine when it was clearly £20 on the list. I was in a hurry at check-out so didn't argue Overall you have so many things right but some basic things wrong here and it would put me off staying again
Visited the hotel on Saturday night, no problems checking in - staff friendly and welcoming. Room dated but spotlessly clean and everything worked! We didn't realise but there was a wedding on the Saturday night and sadly some of the guests' behaviour was not good. It was mainly the females I am sorry to say. However the hotel acted very professionally in trying to deal with the escalating situation. Some things are just beyond the control of the hotel and when other guests have the intention of causing trouble then there is sometimes no easy way to prevent that. However I wont focus on that for our visit, we did have a good night sleep as our room was at the end of the corridor (in the annexe room 148) and breakfast next morning was nicely presented, we only had the cold option but I really liked the fruit, yoghurt and granola and once again the staff serving were very pleasant and courteous. Would certainly return as Lymm is a lovey place to visit.
Lovely, clean hortel. Staff very helpful. Drinks appeared a little expensive . Procedures not up to speed for checkig out or having drinks added to you room bill so a little work needed there, We would stop here again as the hotel and staff were wonderful.
My husband and I are frequent visitors to The Lymm Hotel and are always made to feel welcome and special guests. Last year we married here and our guests still comment on how lovely the venue and staff were. The day was everything we could have hoped for and more with every little detail taken care of by the committed staff. Today, as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations we have come to the The Lymm hotel and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay so far. From the moment we arrived we relaxed and felt at home. This is all down to the dedicated staff and the warm welcome we received. We had afternoon tea which was delicious. On checking into our room we discovered the staff had put us in the honeymoon suite a left a happy anniversary message with chocolates and raspberries. Thank you the Lymm hotel for making our first wedding anniversary so memorable .
We stayed here for two nights in May of this year. We were in Room 102 which is an executive double located in the main part of the hotel overlooking the front of the hotel. Room 102 is accessed via a rather narrow staircase and corridors which we found a little tricky to negotiate with luggage. However this was worth it as our room was lovely, light and spacious with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Robes, slippers, ample tea, coffee plus a Nespresso machine which we didn't use as there were no instructions. The hotel is situated in a quiet leafy residential area less than a 10 minute stroll to the centre of the picturesque village of Lymm, where you can enjoy a pint ( or 2 ) in one of the many pubs along with a walk along the canal. Breakfast was simply superb with table service and food cooked to order. We found the Bar/restaurant menu a tad limited but food was very well cooked and beautifully presented. All staff we came into contact with were friendly and attentive and are a credit to the hotel. We were so impressed we have booked to stay again in July
