Outstanding hotel, upgraded on arrival. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent pools for kids, great kids club, very good gym. We were not even playing golf, just a great place regardless of golfing or not. On site restaurants/cafes a little too expensive if staying on site. Recommend hiring a car to get out and explore local vicinity/restaurants etc. overall fantastic hotel for a family or couples.

The property was beautiful, beautiful scenery. Majority of staff interactions was positive but it was obvious they were short staffed. We made a few requests and we had to ask a few times to get these. We don’t think it’s the staffs fault that there were these issues, these were due to insufficient staffing by the proprietors. Restaurants were overpriced for the food available. We didn’t feel it was of British 5 star standards.

Beautiful new property in the middle of a valley, perfect for a long weekend away! Only improvement we recommend would be more sun loungers and greater capacity for the main restaurant, so can cater to all when busy.

Okay so the property is absolutely gorgeous and picturesque but the service is terrible ! First of all the reception don’t welcome you when you arrive , they lack hospitality. Infact no one gave us a tour nor showed us the amenities of the hotel , we had to figure out on our own . If you are here for pictures and aesthetics then you can stay at the hotel for 2 days maximum ! Other than that it really has nothing to offer . Also the kids were pretty much screaming the whole time at the pool so you don’t even get to use it !

Hotel product is excellent but service level terrible in the restaurant. They obviously haven’t been able to get the staff in this new and more remote location leading to a dreadful experience for diners. Main courses at dinner came out with 20 minutes between them and breakfast time orders had a 50% chance of not being delivered. Lots of stressed guests and staff as a result. We gave up on the restaurant as it was so slow and negative and we cooked in the room instead. That’s not the way it should be and I would say the restaurant experience makes the hotel unbookable unless they can sort it out.
